Let me tell you. Subsidy is the difference government pay to the people that import fuel cos of unstable naira to dollar rate.

Provided the dollar keeps going up there will always be subsidy to remove. So provided dollar keep going up, provided we keep importing fuel, provided our refineries are not working there will always be subsidy.

you are correct but if we have a functional refinery there will be no need paying subsidies to import fuel .
Besides subsidy is fraud because there is no exact figure or amount of fuel really imported after paying subsidy.

As we know government is about chop I chop ,when you pay for example subsidy of #1million for fuel of say 10,000liters and the person imports 5,000liters in connivance with government officials and there is no way to ascertain if he actually imported the #10,000 he was paid for ,is that not fraud which amounts to waste of monies that should sort other problems?
