PoliticsCountries With Mandatory Military Service by cocolacec(op):
Most nations in the world have some form of military. However, the methods used to fill the ranks of those armed forces vary from one country to the next. Primary methods of recruitment include the following:

Voluntary enlistment — Citizens choose the military as their employer and serve their country as their job or career. Widely regarded as the most preferable and socially responsible method of maintaining a military force.

Mandatory service — All males (and sometimes all females as well) of a certain age must serve their country for a minimum amount of time (usually 1-3 years). Typically employed by militaries with the greatest need or the most autocratic leaders.
Conscription/Draft — A variation on mandatory service in which everyone in a certain demographic group (typically males aged 18-35) must register as eligible for military service, but the possibility exists that they will not be called to active duty (referred to as being "drafted" or "conscripted"wink, particularly in times of peace.

Selective compulsory service — In many conscription systems, the selection of recruits is random or lottery-driven. In selective compulsory systems, however, candidates are deliberately chosen and called into service only to meet a particular area of need (for instance, medical personnel, mechanics, or pilots).

De Jure compulsory service — The least demanding form of compulsory service. Mandatory military service technically exists according to the law but is rarely (if ever) actually enforced. For example, the United States still requires all able-bodied males aged 18-25 to register with the Selective Service, meaning they could be drafted into military service if needed. However, so many voluntary recruits enlist that the draft has not been used since 1973 (during the Vietnam War). Similarly, males in China aged 18-22 must register for 24-month compulsory service, but enough volunteers exist that no “draft” of compulsory registrants has ever taken place.

Combinations — Many nations utilize multiple systems in tandem. The United States, for example, relies on voluntary enlistment but also has a de jure conscription system (the Selective Service) to fall back upon should the need arise.

Countries with Mandatory Military Service:
1.Algeria — 12 months for males aged 19-30

2.Angola — 24 months for males aged 20-45

3.Argentina — De jure - Conscription suspended, but government is authorized to reinstate if necessary

4.Armenia — 24 months for males aged 18-27

5.Austria — 6-9 months for males aged 18-50

6.Azerbaijan — 12-18 months for men aged 18-25

7.Belarus — 12-36 months for men aged 18-27

8.Belize — De jure - Conscription legal, but has never been needed

9. Benin — 18 months selective compulsory for males and females aged 18-35

10. Bhutan — Training required for males aged 20-25, but full enlistment is voluntary

11. Bolivia — 12-24 months for males aged 18-22

12. Brazil — 10-12 months for males aged 18-45, but only 5-10% are actually required to serve

13. Cambodia — 18 months for males aged 18-30

14. Cape Verde/Cabo Verde — 24 months selective compulsory for males and females aged 18-35

17. China — De jure - Conscription of males aged 18-22 for 24 months service is legal but has never been needed

PoliticsThe De-yorubanization Agenda Of Yorubaland by cocolacec(op): 3:29pm On Jun 20, 2022
THE DE-YORUBANIZATION AGENDA OF YORUBALAND

The agenda of "so-called" fellow southerners most especially many south easterners in the de-yorubanization of Lagos and other Yoruba spaces is real and not a conspiracy theory. This agenda is the same as the Fulanization agenda, only the methodology is different.

Starting from Nnamdi Azikwe and Jaja Nwachukwu, the rhetorics of no man's land was popularized by this duo in order to turn Yorubaland into a settler colony politically and economically. This allegations are historically correct and factual, if not why would an Igbo man from Onitsha be plotting on how to become the prime minister of Yorubaland right after
before independence. That was why Chief Obafemi Awolowo fought against siting of the capital of Nigeria in Lagos.

All intellectual discourse to properly educate this diabolical folks about the history of Lagos as a colony,as a capital and as a state has fallen on the deaf ears of many of this deluded individuals who hide their expansionist hegemony under the Nigerian identity while spreading historical falsehoods in order to destroy the indigenous right of the Yoruba people in those places.

One of their main point is to tell Yoruba people from other Yoruba speaking cities and towns that they do not have the right to participate in Lagos politics because of the state structures of the fraudulent Nigerian contraption.

A Yoruba man is Yoruba man in any Yoruba spaces and territories across west Africa no Fulani, Igbo, Hausa, Ijaw etc. have the right to tell the Yoruba people what he can do or not do in our spaces, politically, economically and militarily.

Another madness being displayed by this people is to start analysis of of Yorubaland politics by saying "South West, excluding Lagos"? As a patriotic Yoruba citizen you will start asking yourself why any mentally stable individual will utter such rhetoric. Is it possible to say South South excluding Rivers!!! South East excluding Imo !!! North west excluding Kano!!

It is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf why Southern Nigeria republic is impossible and why wholesome southern unity is a mirage. If the Fulanis utter such profanities we will bring out our guns to vilify and crucify them but some Igbos want to come on social media platforms to tell the Yoruba Nation to separate Lagos from the Yoruba future politically and economically? It is the highest form of blasphemy against the indigenous Yoruba people in those places and spaces.

The most important thing to any nationalist is history, Land and power, on these three pillars rest the survival and preservation of their nation. Anybody who continually attacks those pillars directly or indirectly is orchestrating the destruction of the indigenous people.
This is a wake up call to all Yoruba nationalists that the full Yorubanization of our spaces and lands is a must with every means necessary across west Africa.

I am Yoruba first and last. Think Yoruba First. No apologies.

The Igbos are currently on the euphoria of a Peter Obi Presidency Like guided sheeps who only follow the band wagon. Before the year run out,Igbos will support another fulani President despite criticising Buhari and Killer Herdsmen several times. They will say Peter Obi has no chance of winning the election so they will settle for VP slot and support Atiku.

Igbos and Fulanis are the greatest bbeneficiary of the Unitary system after abolishing the regional Govt.Igbos created the Unitary system and Fulani continued wiith it.
Igbos and Fulanis never want a return to regional govt. Many tribes in Nigeria wants a return to the negotiated regional govt before independence where regions can control their resources,Police, military etc.

Personally i will vote for a candidate who. Will returnn Nigeria to a regional govt.
