*What we want from President Tinubu:* By Adeyinka Grandson, President of the YYF April 2019 The below are the legitimate desire of the Young Conservatives Yoruba and by extension the good people of Yorubaland. These needs are legitimate, but only a full blooded Yoruba citizen as the President of Nigeria can do it for us. The Fulani or the Ibo as the President of Nigeria will never agree to these legitimate demands of the Yoruba nation. In view of the above, we hope that Mr. Tinubu will be elected the President of Nigeria in 2023, which coincided with the 30 year anniversary of the annulment of Abiola's electoral victory by the minority Fulani and Ibo. With Tinubu as the President of Nigeria, the Young Conservatives Yoruba will ask him to do the following for the Yoruba nation: 1. Kwara state has 16 local government areas in which 12 are Yoruba-speaking councils, including Asa, Ekiti, Ifelodun, Ilorin East, Ilorin South, Ilorin West, Irepodun, Isin, Moro, Offa, Oke Ero and Oyun. We will request for President Tinubu to create the Oya state from the 12 Yoruba-speaking councils and add the state as part of the Western Region of Nigeria. 2. Kogi state has 21 local government areas in which 6 are Yoruba-speaking councils, including Ijumu, Kabba/Bunu, Lokoja, Mopa-Muro, Yagba East and Yagba West. We will request for President Tinubu to create Okun state from the 6 Yoruba-speaking councils and add the state as part of the Western Region of Nigeria. 3. Delta state has 25 local government areas in which 3 are Yoruba-speaking Itsekiri councils, including the Warri South, Warri North and Warri South-West. We will request for President Tinubu to create the Itsekiri state from the 3 councils and add the state as part of the Western Region of Nigeria. 4. Edo state has 18 local government areas in which 1 is Yoruba-speaking council, the Akoko-Edo local government area. We will request for President Tinubu to add the Akoko-Edo local government as part of the local government area of Ondo state. 5. We will request for President Tinubu to create the Western Region of Nigeria aka Yorubaland to include the following states: Oya, Okun, Itsekiri, Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Osun and Ekiti. 6. We will request for President Tinubu to change the name of Nigeria from the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the *The Union of Nigeria*, which shall consist of ethnic regions having their own flags, emblems, and constitutions as the federating units of Nigeria as opposed to the present 36 states structure of the country. 7. We will request for President Tinubu to return Nigeria back to the parliamentary system of government with a bi-cameral legislative body, which will comprise of a House of Representatives and a House of Nationalities. The regions each will also have their Houses of Assembly. 8. We will request for President Tinubu to reduce the power of the presidency of Nigeria to the following seven functions: a. print money; b. regulate trade between the regions in Nigeria and international trade; c. make treaties and conduct foreign policy; d. provide an army and navy in case of war and emergency, but not to control them; e. establish the post offices; f. control immigration; g. make law necessary and proper to carry out its power. 9. We will request for President Tinubu to devolve the following powers to the regional governments: a. issue licenses; b. regulate trade within the region; c. conduct elections; d. establish state and local government area; e. maintain law and order (the decentralization of the police, military and judiciary); f. health and social care; g. housing; h. agriculture, i. forestry and fisheries; j. education and training; k. land use planning; l. sports and the arts; m. transportation; n. taxation; o. ratify amendments to the federal constitution; p. exert powers the federal constitution does not delegate to the federal government. 10. We will request for President Tinubu to ensure a new constitution that enshrined the right to self-determination on and up to the right to secede, presented to the people via voting in a referendum. 11. We will request for President Tinubu to ensure a just and equitable fiscal federalism whereby 90% of the revenue accruing from every region will be domiciled in the region and 10% contributed to the Federal Government by the federating regions for the responsibility of the Federal Government. 12. We will request for President Tinubu to create a constitutional arrangement for administering Abuja by a council composed of 55% of the indigenous people of Abuja and a Mayor, elected by the residents of the territory. The above requests will guarantee the integrity of Nigeria's component nationalities. But the half-Yoruba, the Fulani minority and Ißo want the unitary system to continue and the reason they have a deep seated hatred for Tinubu. (C) The Young Yoruba for Freedom (YYF). South-South,North -East,North West,Middle Belt,South East, state what you want from President Tinubu in 2023.

In 1962 when Prime Minister Abubakar Tafawa Balewa tried to impose a state of emergency in Nigeria’s western region, a move that didn't sit well with Awolowo. As lawmakers deliberated Balewa’s position in the Western regional assembly on May 25, 1962,Mr Emmanuel Ebubedike (from Ozubulu in Anambra State) who represented Ajeromi/Ifelodun/Badagry East in Parliament had been displeased with the unaccomplished ambition of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe to become the first Premier of the Western Region seized the mace and deployed same as a head battering weapon; with a fist fight breaking all around him. As the chairs were flung all over the floor of the House, Ebubedike grabbed the mace and dared anyone to come close. When the Speaker, Hon. Prince Adeleke Adedoyin and other lawmakers came close, Ebubedike used the mace on them. The mace as a weapon of head destruction was thus born in Nigeria. YYF |
NDLEA Chairman, retired Brig.-Gen. Buba Marwa, said on Monday in Kano that the state has about two million drug addicts, representing 16 per cent prevalence. Marwa made the disclosure when he paid a courtesy visit to Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje. “In Kano State, drug abuse prevalence is 16 per cent; that is, in every six persons, one is a drug addict and they are between the ages of 15 years and 64 years. Kano State has close to two million drug users abusing tramadol, codeine and other cough syrups, rather than cannabis. “I will like to mention here that since I assumed leadership of NDLEA in January, we have seized over two million kilogrammes of assorted drugs, estimated at billions of Naira. “Eight thousand people were arrested and 1,600 are now serving jail terms in correctional service facilities, and we are still working. Drug abuse has gone to the level of destroying our families unless is tackled with all seriousness it deserves,’’ he said. Marwa said that the use drugs propelled criminal activities ranging from banditry, kidnapping and armed robbery, among others. He said that NDLEA was comfortable that Kano State government was a worthy partner in tackling drug Marwa urged the state government to make legislation that would prevent politicians from giving drugs to youths. He also urged the government to make legislation on compulsory drug abuse test for intending couples, also as part of measures to fight against drug abuse. In his address of welcome, Gov. Ganduje said that Kano State is the most populous state with highest number of youths and a commercial nerve centre of Nigeria and some West African countries. Ganduje said that government would relocate legitimate drug dealers to a market as part of efforts to check drug abuse and trafficking. At the Emir of Kano’s palace, Marwa solicited for the support of the emirate in addressing the menace. He urged the emirate to assist NDLEA in enlightening landlords that any house found to be used for drug abuse and trafficking would be confiscated by court. Walin-Kano, Alhaji Mahe Bashir-Wali, who represented Emir Aminu Ado-Bayero, assured Marwa of the emirate’s support in the on-going fight against drug abuse. “If we succeed, we would have enhanced security situation. We are ever ready to join hands with NDLEA to fight against the scourge,’’ Bashir-Wali said. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2021/08/kano-has-2-million-drug-addicts-buba-marwa-2/amp/ |

Since democracy returned The PDP has ruled Igbo land Collected its resources And blown them. But everyday you see PDP folks Hopping around with the innocent enthusiasm of youth corpers Moaning and lamenting bad governance Typical case , Abaribe Abaribe has been in government since 1999 He was Orji kalu's deputy governor He was impeached for ojukokoro Then he became a senator The PDP has ruled his home state Abia Forever He has been on the high table of PDPs profligate exclusive rule of Abia But today When you listen to him You might mistake him for a labour leader The same events that pillaged Igbo land through the PDP Are the same elements egging on hoodlumism in the name of freedom fighting Abaribe is very intelligent . I like him But when I see his balls shrink in front of Nnamdi Kanu I wonder if it's cowardice or political opportunism Chicken or chameleon? Cowardice is better. God didn't give all of us large hearts. The sort of political opportunism that refused to boldly condemn Kanu's execution orders against the police because of future bloodstained political rewards is evil. Abaribe is not a chicken Abaribe can assume Igbo leadership. He is gifted. But he must stop being a chameleon Ugo Egbujo |

*How Azikiwe, an Ibo, deposed the grandfather of the new Olu Erejuwa III, who was re-instated by Awolowo, a Yoruba:* The newly crowned Olu of Warri, Ogiame Erejuwa III, reversed the curse of his grandfather, the Ogiame Erejuwa II. In 1963, Ogiame Erejuwa II, had taken the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Mid-West Government to court over the inclusion of Itsekiri in the newly created Mid-West region. Ogiame Erejuwa II told the court that the Itsekiri Kingdom is part of the Yoruba nation and should have remained as part of the Western region and not included in the Mid-West region. He argued emphatically that the Itsekiri people would like to be a part of the Western region and backed the Action Group led by Awolowo and rejected the NCNC led by Nnamdi Azikiwe who controlled the Mid-West. Angrily, NCNC leader Nnamdi Azikiwe deposed Ogiame Erejuwa II and deported him to Ogbesse. The king then put a curse on all the Itsekiri who supported Ibo to bring the Itsekiri kingdom into disrepute. Okotie Eboh, an Itsekiri who supported the Ibo to depose the Itsekiri King would later be assassinated by the Ibo soldiers involved in the January 1966 military coup. In 1966, Awolowo was set free by Yakubu Gowon and named the Federal Minister of Finance and the de facto Vice President of Nigeria. The first thing he did was to reinstate Ogiame Erejuwa II as the Olu of Warri. But Ogiame Erejuwa did not revoke the curse. His grandson, Ogiame Erejuwa III, has just removed the curse on the Itsekiri people. The Itsekiri Kingdom is one of the twenty-six Yoruba tribes. We dont need Nyanmirins alliance,go to your fulani masters, your leaders form alliance with all the time from independence till 2019.Come 2023 Igbos will unite with fulanis To bring another fulani presudent, who is deceiving who? The fulanis have been killing igbos since 1940’s but they are igbos greatest ally, only slaves vote for their oppressors all the time. |
