Verysmart101:Why did the Igbos monsters kill Yoruba’s second premier,Ladoke Akintola? |
This recent action of ffk as against his political stand is not peculiar to him. Check the list of others too:- 1. I will never go back to the PDP. PDP is beyond redemption! - ATIKU ABUBAKAR. 2. I will never leave APGA. I'd rather quit politics. PDP is a curse to the South East! - PETER OBI. 3. May God punish me if I ever leave PDP! - Gov Bello Mohammad Matawalle 4. I will not join these people who carry brooms like witches. Over my dead body! Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi 5. If APC fails to perform, Nigerians should stone us! Tony Momoh 6. Etc. They are Nigeria Politicians !!! Never trust or rely on them. |
Verysmart101:If Yorubas are envious of Igbos, how come we never slaughtered Your people like Northerners kill you guys like chicken? Igbo politicians are the worst in Nigerian history, useless 2face liabilities. How many Yorubas troop into the South East for opportunities, only Igbos wander across the nation like cursed people lost in the wilderness. |
The history of Nigerian aviation will be incomplete without the mention of Maiduguri and Kano city, where the first aircraft landed in Nigeria on November 1, 1925. It is exactly 90 years since the historic flights, involving three De Havilland DH 9A aircraft belonging to the Royal Air Force, RAF. Vincent Orange’s book, the “Coningham: A Biography of Air Marshal Sir Arthur Coningham”, vividly captured the expedition. The air trip, led by the then Flight Lt. Coningham, began from Helwan (a town in Egypt) to Kano, with several stopovers with Egypt, Sudan and N’Djamena – then known as Fort Lamy. Excerpts from pages 44 to 46 of the book revealed details about the journey, including how the pilots played polo with Emir of Zazzau, Ibrahim Kwasau and how Shehu of Borno Sanda Kura offered them rams. “By 1925, interest was growing in the problems and possibilities of opening up the African continent to civil aviation. The French and Belgians had plans for their own territories and Britain did not wish to be left behind. In September, the Air Ministry announced that three DH 9as of 47 Squadron (stationed at Helwan, near Cairo) would fly from there to Kano in Nigeria ‘for the purpose of gaining experience in long distance flights over tropical countries, where few facilities in the way of the ground organisation required by aircraft exist, and with the object of allowing Nigeria to see the capabilities of British aircraft’. “The venture would be led by Squadron Leader Coningham. His major problems would be navigation and engines. Although there were wireless telegraphy stations at some points along the route, the aircraft carried no transmitting or receiving equipment and had to rely on compasses and on maps which were nearly useless. The engines, reconditioned American ‘Liberty’ engines of 400 hp, had an unreliable record, so Coningham decided to run them gently, reducing the DH 9a’s normal cruising speed from 90 to 80 mph. “The aircraft took off from Helwan at 7 am on 27 October, waved away by a large gathering of soldiers and airmen and landed at Wadi Haifa – 644 miles south of Helwan – after eight hours and twenty minutes in the air, all three pilots aching in arms and chest because, as Coningham frankly admitted, he had misjudged their weight distribution and they flew tail-eavy. Fortunately, this first day of their journey was both the longest and hardest of the sixteen they spent in the air. At Wadi Haifa, Coningham boldly reduced the load carried and, taking off at 4.50 am next morning, they reached Khartoum at noon. With a lighter, better distributed load, it proved a faster and more comfortable journey. Air Marshal Sir Arthur Coningham Air Marshal Sir Arthur Coningham “En route due west to El Fasher, a ‘considerable range of hills’ soon appeared and perturbed Coningham, for it was not marked on his map. Believing El Fasher lay east of such a range, he looked for it in vain and then decided to press on towards another range, some twenty-five miles farther west, which was marked. After fifteen anxious minutes, the town appeared and the flight landed safely (despite three punctures), everyone much relieved. Refuelling began at once, ‘assisted by the officers, who had cancelled their polo, and the men of the garrison’. It was while in El Fasher that Coningham again contracted the malaria that would plague him at intervals during the rest of his life. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/features-and-interviews/192759-how-and-where-first-aircraft-landed-in-nigeria.html |
The Yorubas and Ijaws contribute massively to the Nigerian project and get back little in return. They have been feeding bottles of the North,East,South and deserve to take the lead in Nigerian leadership. He who pays the piper' or 'He who pays the piper calls the tune', mean that the person who provides the money for something decides what will be done, or has a right to decide what will be done.

The Development of the Port of Lagos, c. 1892–1946 Abstract A common feature of the West African coastline is the limited number of natural harbours because of the lack of major indentations. This contrasts sharply with the coastlines of Western Europe and Japan, for example. Hence, only Dakar and Freetown have ‘good natural harbours’ (White, 1970, 14). Consequently, port development in the region has involved extensive engineering works to create or expand port facilities. This chapter details the development, administration and trade of Lagos (Nigeria) from the mid-nineteenth century to the late 1920s. The period begins with British colonisation between 1850 and 1861, and ends with the onset of the Great Depression of 1929–33. A combination of the institutional, technological, legal and commercial changes wrought by British colonialism, the transition from a local economy based upon the transatlantic slave trade to one driven by the so-called ‘legitimate’ trade in non-human commodities, the migrations and settlement of returnees from the African Atlantic Diaspora, urbanisation and port development, and global dynamics propelled the former lagoon port into the leading port-city of West Africa (Olukoju, 2004). By 1880, Lagos had earned the appellation of ‘the Liverpool of West Africa’, a reference to its pre-eminence in the maritime economy of the region.1 It was also a clear allusion to its role in cementing the trade and products of the hinterland to the industry of Britain, the mother country. Dredging was carried out, and moles were constructed to deepen the approach channel, while wharves were built on Lagos Island, on Iddo and at Apapa. These developments removed the need to tranship Lagos cargo at Forcados, and allowed the entry of larger vessels. After the First World War wharf development was concentrated at Apapa. Construction of roads and railways developed the hinterland. Increased trade put pressure on port facilities and shipping turn-round times were slow. Lagos had problems of site and situation characteristic of most West African ports, but these constraints were ameliorated in the case of Lagos by colonial and expatriate investment. By 1950 it was Nigeria's chief port, handling 70% of imports and over 50% of exports. -J.H.Farrington https://nairametrics.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/History-NPA.pdf https://journals.sagepub.com/na101/home/literatum/publisher/sage/journals/content/jthc/1992/jthc_13_1/002252669201300105/20160801/002252669201300105.fp.png_v03 |
ThinkSmarter:They can import from Togo ,Benin or Cameoon no be by force to use Lagos. Yorubas also import into the country,we are doing other Nigerians a favour by allowing them use our port facilities for a fee. |
pacespot:Dont mind the mumu. Why didnt Ndigbo replicate such in their cities or the North where they are doing business? |
Laragirl:True we all survived under our varipus kingdoms before the advent of the blue eyed demons came. |
Verysmart101:Didnt Lagos exist before Ndigbo troop into the state?Lagos is a Yorubaland of opportunities and possiblities and that has attracted many tribes including foreigners to the city.Igbos are nothing without Lagos not the other way round. God and Yorubas and its foresighted leaders are responsible for Lagos success past, present and future. The Yoruba youths are tolerant, peaceful not like the Northern or Eastern youths. How come Igboland is desolate and not as vibrant like Lagos, if Ndigbos have All it takes to make a city great.why cant Ndigbos littered across the North make it great as well as your Igboland?Igbos could start trading with Seaports in onne and warri which is closer, these ports operate at low capacity. It is just like Yorubas saying they made America great as if it wasnt a land of opportunities in the first place. Lagos is great because of the massive foreign entrance and Yoruba drive for investment in the city. Most of these taxes are paid by big companies not your spare parts dealers or kiosk you call shops littered across lagos. One Nigeria is an anomally to the Yoruba kingdom. The Nigerian unitary system only steals Yoruba money to benefit others. We either go back to regional govt or split Nigeria along ethnic lines like Europeans. |
Cashsteady:Nigerians will need bicycle lanes like they have in Europe. |
IbileIfe:Yorubas, middle east, midwest and Hausas will never support Igbos for killing its leaders in the 1966 coup and destroying our regional govt unless the Igbos apologize and we go back to regional govt. |
Madman attachee by force go kill una. |
The topic should be without Nigeria,Igbos will go into extinction. If the Igbos want to bet this, let all regions go back to regional system of govt as agreed by our founding fathers before the Igbos destroy it. |
The creation of the state promoted by the Igbo is a deliberate way of stealing the wealth of the Yoruba nation and make the Yoruba people poor and miserable that was why Awolowo, who represented the Yoruba, Edo, Uhrobo, and Ijaw, as Western Nigeria, during the constitution talks in 1958, before independence, insisted that Nigeria must be based on ethnic regional system of government. He based his reasons on two qualifications for the creation of ethnic regions: economic viability and homogeneity of the region. On this basis, he argued that Nigeria should not have the three regions already established in 1951, but six regions. He said that the Mid-West (Edo, Uhrobo and Ijaw), excluding Akoko-Edo and Itsekiri, should be carved out of the predominantly Yoruba western region. He also said that Calabar, Ogoja and Rivers should be split from the predominantly Igbo Eastern region to create the CoR region. He also stated that the Middle Belt should be carved out of the predominantly Hausa/Fulani and Kanuri Northern region to create the Middle Belt region. According to Awolowo, each region will have its Prime Minister and control everything in its respective region, with the exception of foreign affairs and external defence. Zik, who represented the Igbo, turned down Awolowo's proposal and advocated the creation of 17 states like the 50 American states. Zik said the smaller the states, the better for federal unity in Nigeria. Zik, and by extension the Igbo, have always championed a country with a strong center and weak regions. Awolowo insisted that Nigeria cannot be structured like the United States of America because the people that made up Nigeria are indigenous to the country and not immigrants like the Caucasians and African Americans in the United States. He advocated that Nigeria be structured along ethnic regional system similar to the United Kingdom of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland who are all indigenous to their respective regions of the United Kingdom. Awolowo was shocked at the thought of Nigeria splitting into 17 states. In response to Azikiwe’s proposal, he replied in exact quote that: *"The creation of 17 states would make a nonsense of federalism and indeed would amount to a backdoor reversion of unitary system. Each of the states would be so weak that it would be subordinate to the federal government in practically all the major functions that the regions currently perform. These new states would be nothing more than glorified local authorities."* The Hausa and Fulani had a different perspective. They wanted the regions to remain as three and insisted that there should be no provisions for the creation of other regions in the future. But their motive was to dominate the Kanuri and the people in the middle belt. Extract from my book, Reflections on Yoruba Nationalism. Adeyinka Grandson. |
Joy Ejiro Ofoni wrote... Often the Igbos will be shouting "betrayal" or "they don't like us" meanwhile these are the same people who will go and draw a map claiming many other non Igbo states are Biafra without consulting with the majority of the people of those states, just probably because a few people here and there from those states paid compliments to Biafra, they claim those people have become Biafrans! That someone is sympathetic towards a cause does not mean that person want to automatically become Biafra or fight to achieve Biafra. That you say nice things about a woman you feel is a good person, imagine your reaction if that woman or man now turn around to claim you must marry them just because you paid them a few compliment and you have nothing against their progress as long as they count you out of their family picture. Those states that the Igbos have added to map of Biafra, I can tell you that if the name of Biafra was cocoyam and you put it inside their hearts, their vex alone that somebody is calling them biafran will cook the cocoyam. This does not mean they hate Biafra for Igbos alone or that they hate Igbos, it simple means they can wish the Igbo well from afar but they hate to be referred to as Igbo or they just don't want to be biafra. What baffles me is why the Igbos find this very simple truth difficult to accept or understand. It is the inability of the Igbo man to accept this and instead claim people hate them that makes other tribes to now see Biafra agitation as fraud/scam/yahoo yahoo, because if it was genuine why don't the Igbo people fight for such enjoyment for their own Igbo states why are they trying to emotionally blackmail/insult /curse/jazz/ force or bamboozle other tribes to join Biafra. Its not normal! Igbos pity yourselves, there is already enough problems in Nigeria to solve, why would you be intentionally generating special hatred for yourselves amongst other tribes by calling them Biafrans? Don't ask me why other tribes prefer to be with fulani than to follow Biafra, it's not your business, it's their freedom of choice, a woman or man may choose to be in a relationship with someone you feel you are better than, but it's their choice! They owe you no explanation! Even if maybe they are seeing something in you that you don't see or don't want to admit or work on and what they see in the other person is less problematic to them than what they see in you/ or what you would display if they go with you. So Igbos until you leave the other tribes alone and go and get your Biafra for yourselves, I don't really think you will cease to shout 'betrayal' 'sabotage' 'Nigeria hàte the Igbo man' etc... https://www.facebook.com/102914378304767/posts/301629845099885/?d=n |

I Can Count 10 Woman That Odunlade Adekola Slept Within Nollywood – Esabod Reveals Controversial blogger, Esabod Aboderin has revealed that as much as she believes what Odunlade Adekola is doing is normal, and she can mention ten females he slept within the Nollywood industry. Esabod said: “Odunlade Adekola you can not deny because you have been reported a long time, i can count female you slept with but am not interested to tackle because I believe what he is doing is normal, I just don’t want your action to affect your wife, You slept with everyone, you are married and you call yourself born again Christian, what they said is true because I believe part of Nigeria’s problem is to sleep with female colleagues before they get wet they want. Olofa Ina has already confirmed it, we don’t need to be blaming the baba again because he said sleeping with each other in the movie industry is a normal thing. It is a normal thing in the Movie industry, it is a normal thing in Nigerian companies, including the university. https://knowledgebase.com.ng/2021/09/15/i-can-count-10-woman-that-odunlade-adekola-slept-within-nollywood-esabod-reveals/?fbclid=IwAR0jyd1e7FwPPP6hfkRyJPi7ct2B2VYc0BAA5emJdTFxZ26gbXqB4ov2hIA |
Femi Adebayo Sleeps With Women in The Industry, Both Married and Single Controversial blogger Esabod Aboderin accused Nigerian actor Femi Adebayo of sleeping with married and single women in the Yoruba movie industry. Esabod reveals this while she addressed Odunlade Adekola allegations of sleeping with a woman colleague for movies roles, in a video obtained and interpreted by Timeofgist she said: Olofa Ina has already confirmed it, we don’t need to be blaming the baba again because he said sleep with each other in the movie industry is a normal thing. I can count 10 female Odunlade has slept within Nollywood, but am not here to pick on you, but you are flirt including Femi Adebayo, he sleeps with any woman, both single and married women, people are targeting the two of you, but remember one day you will have HIV and it will affect your wife. If you like caution yourself. They slept with all married women in the movie industry, both young and old, is just like a curse for them, unlike Hollywood, they don’t demand to sleep with them before giving them a role, their audition will speak for them. They even pass females around after sleeping with them, from Jide Kosoko to Ogogo because they know the girls want to put the food on their table. Olofa Ina has said the truth.
