It's not as easy as that now. We have been so useless that we allow foreign countries like mobil total Chevron drill our oil for us and we have agreements of a 40/60 sharing formula.

That was supposedly going fine but corruption did not make us make do anything tangible with the 60% we were taking, even to repair or build refineries.

Now that we take foreign loans and pay with crude that has not even been drilled up to 10years it would be impossible to ban exportation because na payment of loan wey we don take we dey pay for.

I agree with this. With Biden on the ticket the Democrats supporter would have even been lackadaisical in voting because it would been a lose lose for them if either Biden or Trump win and it looked like Trump was running away with it.

S realistic minimum wage should be 100K for government offices, and private workers 50/60K.

Private school teachers should not drop less than 40K as minimum wage for NCE grads, and 60/70k for BSC... Increase schools fess, and reduce teachers,by retaining the effective ones.

Let Govt cut down on some workers, but of course party politics won't allow them....

They should cut their own salaries first before cutting any worker from work.

Although I'm very sympathetic to the cause of the Labor leaders but this method adopted isn't working.
I have been reading some report including this one showing labour leaders resorting to using force to get people involved in the strike.
I daresay this is nonsensical,how do you force people to be involved in a strike that is supposedly fighting for the rights.
This strike is a big failure and I expect the propaganda department of Labour stop all this posting of pictures showing the strike had any effect in Nigeria.
School children went to school today,the transport unions are working at least in Lagos,even some banks are opened so which strike are the labour leaders deceiving themselves is effective.
It will only get worse if they continue to thread this path, immediately Government sees the people are not behind these leaders,their strike will become totally ineffective.
My advice to labor leaders is to come down from their inflated high horse and accept a minimum of 700000-80000 as the minimum wage.

Private sector cannot pay 400k or even 150k but politicians will comfortably take 30 - 35m monthly from tax payers money as salary.

And we should all continue to look.

Labour knows 400k is not feasible but want to something that would be reasonable for the workers, like 150k.

When the private sector cannot pay the 150k then we will really know the true state of this govt/country and why a senator will still be collecting 30- 35m monthly, not to talk of constituency project money and security votes the govs use to enrich themselves.

The government should wake up to its responsibility. They should immediately declare no work no salary. And open opportunity for employment. They should not pay more than 60k for minimum wage.If you are not ok with it.You are not glued to the work.you resign for those ready to work.You can try self employment or go and farm.
