EngrKemp: Obama saw the hand writing on the wall and adviced Biden hoping for the Aug convention to select or elect a candidate.. Apparently to have a new duo or mayybe leave Harris still as VP but Harris capitalised on the opportunity and sold a narrative using diversity and gender .
Truth is . Harris is grossly incompetent and knows nothing about geography, world politics and diplomacy .
Biden supporting Harris was also a check from Biden on it Obama. Since Obama adviced him to step aside
Then him Biden did but also gave his support to Harris It's a leverage for Him Biden All these are conjectures from your mind. The reason I asked that question was a follow up on what you said about American having 2 bad options and I asked whats your description when it was Biden/Trump. You avoided the question? |

Bobloco: There has never been any doubt that Tinubu is corrupt.
There has never been any doubt that Tinubu is a notorious narcotics drug trafficker engaging in criminal state capture. Even his closest friend, ardent supporters, knows this very fact.
But what baffles me is how these felows, I mean Tinubu's close friends and ardent supporters, suddenly believe that a man with such a questionable character, a man without any atom of integrity, could lead this country into socio-economic prosperity.
The truth remains that a man cannot give what he doesn't have.
Tinubu cannot lead this country into socio-economic prosperity. He doesn't have the capacity, competence, and integrity to achieve that.
The Tinubu regime will be the worst regime in the history of this country. This is an undisputable fact. And we thought the one that left before him was the most useless thing that ever happened to us. But here we are in a place where supposedly educated men and women will be supporting a well known criminal in all ramifications. It's unbelievable when you actually comprehend their numbers. |

joytothewise: Ban exportation of Nigeria crude oil since we get refinery fix Nigeria refineries too It's not as easy as that now. We have been so useless that we allow foreign countries like mobil total Chevron drill our oil for us and we have agreements of a 40/60 sharing formula. That was supposedly going fine but corruption did not make us make do anything tangible with the 60% we were taking, even to repair or build refineries. Now that we take foreign loans and pay with crude that has not even been drilled up to 10years it would be impossible to ban exportation because na payment of loan wey we don take we dey pay for. As for the loans that were taken. Let's just say you and I know how far. |

SangoOlukosoOba: I was a hardcore pro-Biden and projected his win. It will be unfair to use emotions to analyze politics anywhere.
Kamala cannot match Trump irrespective of her records and accomplishments, which is far greater than that of Trump.
Trump really has a lot of dumb followers and it will be unfair not to recognize their might. Kamala is not appealing and cannot match Trump. Democrats will rather have Kamala there than Trump and remind me how Trump lost his 2 term with even 10m more votes when he won Hillary. When people come out to vote just because they don't want a particular person in the White House it can be dicey. Biden did the right thing. |

Menclothing1: Get a good 40 yrs politician he will defeat trump I agree with this. With Biden on the ticket the Democrats supporter would have even been lackadaisical in voting because it would been a lose lose for them if either Biden or Trump win and it looked like Trump was running away with it. But with a fairly good candidate the Democrats will rally round him/her to make sure he/she wins and another driving force will be that they wouldn't want trump back in the White House. |

NLC should ask for a realistic increase not an unrealistic one. The govt that is going to pay should also make a realistic suggestion. After increasing fuel and electricity by about 300%. Inflation has skyrocketed with price of foodstuff. Let's not talk about transport, sch fees, housing and clothing which are basic necessities. They are proposing 60k? |

Jokerman: Oga, let the FG cut down some moribund workers...
S realistic minimum wage should be 100K for government offices, and private workers 50/60K.
Private school teachers should not drop less than 40K as minimum wage for NCE grads, and 60/70k for BSC... Increase schools fess, and reduce teachers,by retaining the effective ones.
Let Govt cut down on some workers, but of course party politics won't allow them.... They should cut their own salaries first before cutting any worker from work. |

Faiththatworks: Although I'm very sympathetic to the cause of the Labor leaders but this method adopted isn't working. I have been reading some report including this one showing labour leaders resorting to using force to get people involved in the strike. I daresay this is nonsensical, how do you force people to be involved in a strike that is supposedly fighting for the rights. This strike is a big failure and I expect the propaganda department of Labour stop all this posting of pictures showing the strike had any effect in Nigeria. School children went to school today, the transport unions are working at least in Lagos, even some banks are opened so which strike are the labour leaders deceiving themselves is effective. It will only get worse if they continue to thread this path, immediately Government sees the people are not behind these leaders, their strike will become totally ineffective. My advice to labor leaders is to come down from their inflated high horse and accept a minimum of 700000-80000 as the minimum wage. God bless Nigeria. Is 30 - 35M a month ok for senators that sit 3 times a week to be changing national anthem? Not to talk of the N150m jeeps they bought for themselves. Let all of us be mad together. It will a merry madness. |

praz001: That's the pure fact. That person is actually right. B4 day 7 of the strike, people will cry out...
How many private companies can pay 400k monthly? Even 150k. All we Neen is goat controlling price. Subsidising items like food.. Private sector cannot pay 400k or even 150k but politicians will comfortably take 30 - 35m monthly from tax payers money as salary. And we should all continue to look. Labour knows 400k is not feasible but want to something that would be reasonable for the workers, like 150k. When the private sector cannot pay the 150k then we will really know the true state of this govt/country and why a senator will still be collecting 30- 35m monthly, not to talk of constituency project money and security votes the govs use to enrich themselves. Workers want their share! |

Streetinvestor2: If you want pay like politicians. No one has stopped you from contesting. The 1.2 million workers don't represent the Nigerians on the street working more and earnings less than 60k.Why are most civil servant afraid of self employment. It is because they want free money for doing nothing in those offices. You are fighting for your pockets for 1.2 million of you corrupt workers. Who is fighting for the other Nigerian masses not making upto 60k after working harder everyday. Which worker actually. Is it this ones we see every day reaping off fellow Nigerians in those offices. The workers and the politicians are all the same It is obvious you are benefiting from one useless politician/senator who prioritizes national anthem change than actually solving salient problems and getting paid millions monthly for doing rubbish. It is politicians that are not reaping off fellow Nigerians abi. If you agree politicians and workers are the same why are you attacking the workers if they also want to benefit from doing nothing like the politicians. Let all of us be mad. |

They should not pay more than 60k for minimum wage.If you are not ok with it.You are not glued to the work.you resign for those ready to work. You can try self employment or go and farm. Most of this civil servant are busy doing nothing in those offices from 9-4 pm.They go thr to only cut corners and frustrate Nigerians coming to those offices for something. If you are not satisfied with your pay for your jservices. You quit. It is how iti s done in private sector. They won't because they know is free money they are collecting Go and quit them na. Even if it's free money let them have it. What the senators and ministers and aides are collecting is reasonable to you abi. You won't complain when they use 90billion for hajj, buy 150m jeeps for themselves, spend a stupendous amount of money for travelling, increase electricity and fuel over 300% so that ordinary citizens will continue to suffer. They don't want to be reasonable in their spending but want citizens to suffer. Yet it's workers output you are stressed about. |
