The 615k might be unrealistic but it's a good place to start.

I support a significant increase in the minimum wage, but to be honest with you, 600k is too outrageous.
Something around 100k should be fine.
It's not enough to be fighting for minimum wage abeg, labor should also be fighting against the maximum wage.
At least, let them base minimum wage as a percentage of the maximum wage of any public servant, elected or appointed.
Something like, the minimum wage should not be less than 1% of a senator's take home pay for instance.

Until they do that labour should ask for more.

For me, I think what the workers shout fight for is the naira purchasing power. If my salary is 20k, I should be able to purchase good things with it. For example, with 20k salary:
Bag of rice.... #950
House rent (annually)... #230
Sch fees (private sch)... #110 (very expensive)
Car (moderate).... #6500
Buy a house... #4250 etc

Do these guys look like people that are interested in strengthening the naira when they travel out just to discuss matters that could have been done here. Labour know they will not get that 615k they are asking for but the 615k breakdown highlights the reality and it's a good place to negotiate and get a good minimum wage for the workers because these guys don't send you a civil servant and they also no send consequences of their frivolities. It doesn't matter to them so why should it matter to labour.

They will continue to spend as they like and make you a civil servant be expectant for better life till you retire.
