Christianity Etc › Do You Really Think The Kindom Of Heaven Will Be Fun Than This World? by Codedrock(op): 6:39am On Jan 17, 2013
Yeah, this is a question that have been bothering me long time ago.. Will heaven be fun than this world? For me i dont really think so, i have heard so many preachings about rapture or judgment day telling me heaven is good that no one can try to miss it because its a place of joy and happiness no sorrow, pain, and many others, we just gonna leave with jesus rejoicing and praising God. But i wonder how would it be to be in a world without: hip hop musics, eating,no ambition, wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, sex, movies, football, online chats, nairaland. And many other things we found fun here.
Ain't it kuku to beta to stay forever young here? Oh i wish!
any pastor here who wanna help through this? And co nairalanders what do u really think about this?

Politics › Boko Haram Leader Arrested In Abuja At House Of Rep. Member’s Residence by Codedrock(op): 5:40am On Jan 14, 2013
Another breakthrough came theway of security agents in their confrontation with members of the dreaded Jamaatu Ahlil Sunna Lidawati wal Jihad, otherwise known as Boko Haram, with the arrest of one ofthe sect’s suspected leaders, Hassan Pagi BUKAR, in the residence of a 2003-2007 member of the House of Representatives (names withheld) .
The Boko Haram alleged leader was, according to sources, arrested along with the security guard of the erstwhile lawmaker.
Although the one-time member of the House of Reps was said tohave been briefly arrested and interrogated, he has since been a daily guest of the security agency that effected the arrest.
The arrest was reportedly made in the Gwarimpa area of the Federal Capital territory, FCT, Abuja.
Sunday Vanguard learnt, last night, that the arrest and interrogation of Bukar had started yielding results.
For instance, the suspect reportedly disclosed, upon interrogation, that his brief as a sect member was to “carry out robbery activities by dispossessing members of the public of their cars”.
The security guard in the formerHouse of the Reps member’s residence (who was described as a mere gateman) was said tohave been “employed from Sokoto”.
During further interrogation of Bukar, Sunday Vanguard was made to understand that the suspect disclosed that the cars used for suicide bombings by the sect were stolen vehicles.
One of the very indicting statements of Bukar, the source said, “was that he implicated the former Rep by saying that he also buys some of the cars from him (Bukar) when they are stolen” [Vanguard Report]

The relationship between thetwo leading opposition figures in Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Gen Muhammadu Buhari is aboutto be cemented further.

A source told Olufamous that there is so much lack of trust within the camps of both men, and only an event like this can make their loyalist feel more comfortableworking with each other.
My source disclosed that Tinubu's son has formally proposed to the beautiful damsel and all they are waiting for now is to fix a suitable date for the traditional rights and wedding proper.

Politics › 6 Month Old Nigerian Baby Kidnapped In South Africa by Codedrock(op): 6:10am On Jan 11, 2013

Six month old Nigerian baby,Revelation Jones, was on Tuesday January 8th abducted by his parents neighbours, a couple believed to be Pakistanis. The couple, who have three children of their own, allegedly attacked Revelation's nanny, leaving her for dead and also lockedup a six year old girl in the house, as they took the baby.
The father of the abducted baby, Ifeanyi Jones, said for several hours he and his wife Khanyisile had been phoning the nanny and the house, and no one had picked up the phone. The Nanny’s husband, Daniel Kanda, said his wife had toldhim the attack had taken place early in the morning. She was carrying the baby when the couple attacked her. “They wrestled as the couple was trying to pull thebaby from her; until she fell to the ground, and (the couple) started attacking her. They were attacking herwith shoes. The man tied a rope around her neck, that is when she collapsed,” he said.
During the attack, Jones’s daughter said she and the tenants’ three children had hid under a chair in one of the rooms. She told her father that when the wife noticed her watching them, she grabbed a pillow, pressed it against her face and pushed her into her parents’ room, locking the door. “She saw them carry out her brother and lock thedoor,” said Jones. Kanda was taken to hospital, where she is in a critical condition , with head injuries .
The tenants moved into the house on 5 December, last year. The husband, who onlygave his name as Bobby, told Jones that the family had come from Durban. They had been staying at a nearby hotel , but said it had become expensive. At the end of the month, the couple said they didn’t have enough money to pay the rent and asked for a few days’ grace.
Last week, the Joneses became suspicious when they noticed that something had been added to their food that was cooking on the stove. They later gave the food to the family, who they then discovered had dumped it in the garden. Jones suspects that they might have poisoned the food. “I think now that their motive was to come and do harm,” he said.
Police investigators are now searching for the Pakistanis, who have demanded a R100, 000 ransom, a day after the two alleged kidnappers walked out of Jones’s Bez Valley home withbaby Revelation. Police are investigating a case of kidnapping and attempted murder, appealing to anyone who may know the Pakistani couple’s whereabouts to come forward with information.

Celebrities › “I Paid Mj’s Bills … And I Want My Moneyback” – Micheal Jackson’s Assistant by Codedrock(op): 6:56am On Jan 07, 2013
According to reports, late Michael Jackson ‘s personal assistant covered a bunch of expenses while the King of Pop was living in Vegas. Now, three years later, he’s finally getting around to demanding payment.
Michael Amir Williams filed a creditor’s claim with the Michael Jackson Estate, claiming he’s still out $28,569.83. Among the items listed — an $11K power bill, a$13K vehicle lease and almost $1K in phone bills.
We have no idea why he took so long to file the claim. Jacko kicked the bucket back in June 2009 … and most everyone else filed their claims years ago. In fact, he may have missed the filing deadline bya long shot.
Williams also filed a class action suit against AEG recently … which AEG didn’t really appreciate.

Nairaland General › Intro- Lagos Safety – The First Ever Online Portal Forreporting Safety Issues. by Codedrock(op): 6:47am On Jan 07, 2013
LagosSafety.comis an online portal where Lagosians can now report safety issues in their environment online. The FIRST of its kind in Lagos. It serves as a point of contact between the citizens and the government. Residents observe their environment, find anomalies and report them online. The government acknowledges the issue and commence work on it. Once the issue is sorted, the thread becomes “ closed ”.
The brain behind Lagossafety.com, Mr. Segun Adekoye explained “ The idea was to bridge the gap between the government and the people. Sometimes there are issues that are hazardous to the lives of people unattended to for a while. An example is an electric wire lying on the road for days before it becomes fixed. We have been able to fragment the issues into categories that can be directed to their respective authorities such that PHCN Lagos, knows it’s own category while the State Ministry of Works and Housing also knowswhere it belongs on the website. We did this out of the need to inform the government about issues it rarely hears about and move them towards solving them.”
LagosSafety.comwas launched in December 2012 but has commenced full operations from this month. It helps to stimulate social responsibility in the state and makes all the residents stakeholders. There are several issues that barely get the attention of the State Government, this sort of issues can be resolvedonce it gets to the notice of the responsible authorities. The site also incorporates Google Maps sothat places that are being reported can be accurately located.
The kinds of issues that can be reported are dangerous buildings, bad roads, flood, potholes, bad traffic lights, electricity, road lighting, no street names, emergencies such as fire outbreaks and accidents. Other environmental issues such as waste disposal, traffic obstructions, decaying or dead animals or people can also be reported. Security and risk issues can also be reported. These rangefrom chaos, security alerts, illegal parking are also to be reported online.
Residents can begin by registering on the site www.lagossafety.comin order to be able to report issues that they notice in their community. Thereafter, they can report any issue that fall into these categories. Registration is free and LagosSafety.comdoes not require any form of money from users of the web portal.
Security is a collective effort, it is important that all hands work together to promote and report safety issues on the site. The site is useful for residents of Lagos State who have no idea about risky or emergency issues in other parts of the State. It is helpful for bloggers and news organization to help them report and broadcast issues that pose a threat to human existence. It is also a great resource for the government to find out and address safety issues in the state.
LagosSafety.comwas set up to ensure to the city of Lagos is safe and habitable for all.
