Yes it cost intensive to treat it but it pay off, you have to spend minimum of 3k to 5k for eyes drop per month

Is there a time you stop using those drugs or it is going to be for life?

I took my grandad for check up and it turned out he had glaucoma that had even damaged one eye, immediately the doctor noticed he instructed me to info all my uncle's and aunties to also come for check up to avoid stories (hereditary) , the old man has been managing one eye with proper medication. He later told me his own father was blind too.
Please go for check up early detection is the key.

I really want to know if this disease is hereditary because my father has it and I'm scared I can be diagnosed to be positive. Is it curable permanently? What can I do to help myself future to enjoy my life?

You need to start making a conscious attempt to "not care about what other people think or say". Most times, social anxiety is born out of feelings of inadequacy; the idea that you aren't good enough, that people will think you're dumb if you open your mouth to say anything or that you aren't cute if you look them in the eyes. Before you can love yourself and interact freely with people, you need to accept yourself dear. There's always something unique and beautiful about each and everyone of us dear. Learn to see yourself as good enough. Also, try doing little exercise every day. Research has shown that not only does it make you look good and feel good, it also increases your heart rate just like when you're in the midst of people...so you'll get used to your heart skipping a beat and eventually overcome it. I hope this helps.

Thank you ma, I so much appreciate your input and unwavering help. It appears you got me when you mentioned 'not to listen or pay attention to what people might say about me'. This is start of this challenge I face. I never believed in me, now I found it difficult to get me out of this quagmire.

When you're in an environment with people, is your mind often clouded with thoughts that those people are judging you?

If yes, then you may likely have SAD (Social Anxiety Disorder). I can't proffer a solution right now, as I'm also dealing with that, but don't be discouraged. You can overcome it, I believe so because mine was very bad that I even dreaded going out. I can manage it to an extent now, and that's because I basically tried to stop bothering myself on people's thoughts about me, and stopped over thinking after messing up. Whatever we do is a product of the nature of our thought life, and the things we constantly think about are stored up in our subconscious minds, which in turn play a role in our behaviours and emotions. So you need to learn to fill your mind with positive thoughts.

It's not going to be an easy and quick ride, but slow and steady wins the race. I wish I could proffer a potent solution, but those tips I stated above have helped me to a manageable extent. Once again, don't get discouraged, you can overcome it.

Try to make one friend and be close to him, meet his other friends and continue from there.

Im quite sure one of the reasons for your fears is that youve got a low self esteem and its kinda affecting you psychologically hence why u result to isolate yourself from people often.....if i want to conquer your fears,the first step i think you should take is dealing with your self worth.

I have been trying to build my self-esteem and self-confidence but it keeps coming back. I have really tried.

These are psychological problems that should be medically assessed and the correct treatment given. The earlier you go for diagnosis and treatment, the better for you.

I don't want to take drugs that's why I want you to help me with best way to get out of it. I have missed a lot of opportunities due to this habit.

The fear to be in the midst of people
The fear of public speech
The fear to look other people's face
The fear to speak to other people
The fear to relate with people

I have been trying over two years now to get rid of it but it keeps coming back.

I equally have mistrust kind of habit. I don't trust people easily.

Please, how did you manage to get rid of fear?
