This is part of what APC should be targetting to simplify dry season farming. Mass produce irrigation kits from the plastic Dangote refinery releases and give to farmers cheaply so production doesn't stall for 6 months of no or little rain. They are building Flyover and highways. |

Maobichek: I hope this your assertion is genuine as it's being said; if it's so, Aba and Abia state will benefit from the reform. Aba is doing well in production of wears. when they make shoes sell and make profit. They pay taxes and that means more money for the development of Abia. That is only possible if the money Abia state govt and people laboures stays largely in Abia and not goes to sokoto or jigawa. |

Politics › Re: Why didn't the north complain about the petroleum Industrial act? by CodeTemplarr: 7:58am On Dec 03, 2024 |
MadPolitician: Every single oil producing states can easily stand on their own with their earnings, if you take into consideration the fact that all the oil monies collected by the government from the multi nationals, should be for the states, who can then pay certain levels of taxes to the center. There was nowhere it was agreed that the federal government should be taking such monies. The military willed that barbarity into law.
So it's jejune to say that the states are unproductive when they're the ones filliing your federal purse with dollars everyday. You don't come from Ogbomosho as the president to collect all oil receipts coming from Imo or Abia States, and then turn around to accuse the states of being incapable to stand alone. They can stand alone with their oil. You Gerrit? It is you and the federal government who actually can't stand alone if issues are dealt with critically and honestly. lies. |

It will also reduce the near absolute dependency on (oyel generated) hand outs from central government. I concur. It should help propel states to see themselves as the next industrial hub from where goods sold all over ecowas and west africa is manufactured. |

Foolish talk. If they embrace this reform and start encouraging industries, it can only get better. They want to keep sharing free money they didnt work or suffer for in anyway. Problem is the money is always shrinking in real terms and the mouths are growing. Even their own Buhari had no solution and borrowed heavily for eight good years of relatively easier fiscal conditions. |
