So true. They prefer N50,000 today to N1,000,000 tomorrow morning 6:00AM. It is the summation of the witchcraft mindset that has kept Africa back. They should be fantasizing about how much they will make as tax when they finally start converting their vast raw materials into finished goods locally, and that's aside employment opportunities it will create. Instead they are looking at what they may lost temporarily before bouncing back. It is clear they have no plan to industrialize the north for employments and opportunities. The focus is to keep their people poor and use a common enemy, manufactured and sustained along religious line - the south, to bankroll their elite lifestyles.
The northern elites are not with their people on this and are just using them against the government. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Apart From Tithe, See Other Offerings In Redeemed by CodeTemplarr: 11:32am On Dec 04, 2024 |
It isnt perculiar to RCCG alone but many other churches also. The differenc is they preach it to you and serve you the biblical backing, then leave you to decide whether you want to act according to your faith. People give for breakthrough already withiut calling it breakthrough offering. People also give for love but dont call it that. Most will say they were moved or God put it in their heart. People also give for thanks or Thanksgiving.
The name doesnt change much. It is still the faith and the word that enlarges it that matters. The OP needs understanding. |

greypencils: Funding for Hajj and Mosques is still a manageable problem. The major problem is their politicians stashing everything in their bedrooms and buying mansions for their concubines and their bastard children in major cities all over the world. You have to wonder what states like Yobe, Jigawa, Katsina, Zamfara, Borno have to show despite the humongous funds allocated to these states. i only used funding of hajj and building of mosques to represent the ones that are hard to prove like outright looting. In principle, they are all wasteful spendings that does nothing for the people. |

Because tell me why you would ask for a girl's number but not pay for her food in a restaurant?
This ugly, smelly cultist (yes he's a cultist, he was hailing his friend in lingo and flying colours) asked for my number yet didn't offer to pay for my food. Who does that?
Like do men not know things like this might make the girl look at him twice and maybe save his number in her phone for real.
Like it's so disgusting when Nigerian men don't offer to pay for women stuff🙄

alanto: Two reasons. Tbough I earn more than the 800k a year. (Meaning I will continue paying tax) It makes sense that people earning less will not be taxed going forward.
Second reason is. Most of the time when VAT stats are released it feels like Lagos generate most VATs, like other states are not trying to do much, mean while these other states are constitutionally shortchanged for Lagos.
It's a welcome development. It will also give a real insight of activities going on in the states. And the states will be richer.
It's an insult to a place like Imo to be said to have contributed meager N200m in VAT whereas most of the things consumed in the state were unjustly taxed by Lagos, Rivers and Oyo.
The proposed bill is fair. Very fair to all.
I see Ogun earning way more in VAT generation than it's presently doing. Same for other states with population and commercial activities.
The richer you are the more tax you pay. The poor pay absolutely no tax except VAT on purchased item which is not a bad idea. you should have used Imo ves Anambra because Anambra has industries and Imo has almost none. Stop letting the hate of Lagos blind you. |
Family › Re: Opinion : Without Subsidy, Nigeria's Population Will Be Around 55m-65m by CodeTemplarr(op): 5:57pm On Dec 03, 2024 |
Acidosis: I disagree. Nigerians have always been poor and poor countries (with or without subsidy) are known to have the highest birthrates. While hardship might lead to a drastic decline in birth rates, it will also and ultimately result in a higher death rate. More people may no longer afford healthcare, and everyone, including healthcare providers, will begin rationing resources. This means that access to quality care will be compromised, and even feeding the "few" who remain could become a significant challenge. Literacy and quality education are the only sustainable solutions. it is a relative thing. What about imigrants posing as Nigerians? Dont forget food subsidy of over N1 Trillion annually. When you consider the per capita GDP, it becomes even clearer. Though your points hold, the impact in my opinion, doesn't outweigh the other factors. |
