Jeromejnr:I'm pretty sure if i put some verses to you,i would get responses like 'the bible shouldn't be taken literally' 'you need the holy spirit to understand that verse' 'a carnal mind can never understand matters of the spirit'..bla..bla..bla. I understand the workings of a Christian mind bro. |
Humanbeing1st:I know that feeling,i can relate. The emancipation has just begun. |
frank317:Isn't it ironic how god communicated with 'his people' in the past but hasn't been seen since the invention of cameras?
|
Jeromejnr:As usual. The bible never means what it says. It is always subject to the interpretation of the reader at a particular time,in a particular place. What else is new? |
Jeromejnr:Yeah typical of a Christian to cherrypick the verse that suits him at a particular time. I also got that verse from your bible too. I guess that doesn't apply to you, only the ones you choose to read. I see through your shenanigans o yea Christian brethren.
|
Jeromejnr:Matt 5:22 But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire See you in hell bro |
The way some people pray makes one wonder..what manner of god would put his people through so much pain just to harken to their prayers? You see them grovelling, gyrating, screaming, climbing all sorts of mountains, parting with their hard earned money, bathing nùde etc. Did i even mention the loooonnnggg days of hunger strike just to get this god to look in their direction, let alone listen to their prayers. Not to talk of answering them...sigh. There's only one reason god doesn't answer prayers. Because he isn't there, simples!

As people become more intelligent they care less for preachers and more for teachers. -Robert Green Ingersoll Nuff said! |
Kini big deal? |
Oh well..shìt happens! |
peppyluv02:Peppy this is a 2013 thread about a 2012 event. Maybe a recent rating would be more helpful. |

SonOfEl:Young man stop being deceitful. What is wrong with you and your ilk for goodness sakes? You can't even exhibit a little honesty to save your own life..sigh
|
SonOfEl:Sigh..will be waiting. Hopefully it won't take eternity. |
SonOfEl:Still going round in circles. You've got proof? Put it up here. Simple as. No need for your shenanigans. My Google search made it abundantly and unequivocally clear the event never happened, the story is fake and your god isn't great after all. A simple rejoinder from you will suffice to prove me wrong. But typical of theists with nothing to stand on,i'm not honestly expecting any proof from you or any of your co travellers and i'm not expecting you to be honest about it either and say you don't know (because there's nothing honest about being a Christian). Instead, you'll stick with the default theist defence mechanism..keep skirting around the issue, become hostile and aggressive and where possible, throw in a few ad hominems for good measure. Nothing new here. |
Major security breach |
SonOfEl:Stop frothing at the mouth and give me a link to support your claim. Or better still, post it here. I've given you incontrovertible proof that the story was only a satirical piece written to make folks like you feel good about your delusions. Now your move. Prove me wrong or...chekmate. No need to get butthurt. |
SonOfEl:Oh yeah mr sense talker. Why not show me religious journals that have published your story since archeologists seem to be secretive about such an awesome find. |
Nice one..this reminds me of a similar episode years ago when a man slept with another man's wife and impregnated her. In order to cover their illicit deed they claimed the unborn baby was the son of some god. And to think the lady swore there was no penetration, she was just filled by some spirit...sigh. |
robosky02:Like seriously? And who exactly is this person pontificating on how exactly marriages should be conducted? Some people are so arrogant and self entitled it's not even funny. |
Lord's Chosen for revival? Oh my! Sad story though. My sympathy goes out to the family. |
Horllamideh:Ermm..i hate to rain on your parade. But your story is as fake as a three dollar bill. The event never happened so don't get too carried away with your so called 'god is great' mantra. On 24 October 2014, the web site World News Daily Report (WNDR) published an article claiming that chariot wheels and the bones of horses and men had been discovered at the bottom of the Red Sea, thereby supposedly proving archaeological proof of the Biblical narrative about the escape of the Israelites from the Egyptians. (According to the Book of Exodus, God parted the Red Sea long enough for the Moses-led Israelites to walk across it on dry ground, but closed the waters up again upon the pursuing Egyptian army and drowned them all.) However, if one is looking for news of an important scientific or historical discovery, World News Daily Report is not the place to look. WNDR is fake news site whose disclaimer notes that the site's articles are satirical and fictitious: World News Daily Report is a news and political satire web publication, which may or may not use real names, often in semi-real or mostly fictitious ways. All news articles contained within worldnewsdailyreport.com are fiction, and presumably fake news. Any resemblance to the truth is purely coincidental, except for all references to politicians and/or celebrities, in which case they are based on real people, but still based almost entirely in fiction Despite WNDR's framing of the alleged "discovery" as recent and newly announced, reports of divers finding chariot wheels and the like under the Red Sea are a hoax that has been promulgated for many years now. The WNDR article's use of language such as "this morning" and its claims that a team of "underwater archeologists" in Egypt responsible for the discovery are planning to recover more artifacts from the site reinvigorated interest in the long-discredited rumor, but the details are not only fabricated, they've simply been recycled from past claims and appended with more recent dates. Prior to the "Red Sea" story, World News Daily Report hoaxed social media users with articles such as "15-Ton Prehistoric Shark Captured Off Coast Of Pakistan,"Newly-Found Document Holds Eyewitness Account of Jesus Performing Miracle," and "200 Million Years Old Dinosaur Egg Hatches in Berlin Museum." True to the site's disclaimer, none of those massively popular stories turned out to be rooted in truth. http://www.snopes.com/religion/redsea.asp |
Shouldn't the vice president's account be verified? |
It was bound to happen at some point |
Just imagine if this little act of kindness was undertaken by an APC governor. Oh my! All these adjectives..mediocrity,inferiority complex etc would immediately take on a whole new meaning. You would read stuff like..'that's my governor, doing great things'. 'Bleep till 2023. Wailers gonna wail' bla..bla..bla. I have no love for politicians. Because as far i'm concerned, they're all the same. But i give credit where it is due,Fayose with all his shortcomings has a humane side and his loyalty is never in doubt. Not a turncoat, unlike these fickle politicians ever too quick to switch sides in a fleeting moment. |
Problem is,he'll be out in a week, working the streets as usual. |
AfroKnight:I see what you did there. But you have to agree these elites deserve no sympathy from regular folks. |
This is what i detest about these politicians. Junketing around the world to treat minor ailments. I have no sympathy for these folks. They can all die for all i care. They won't be missed. |
Thirsty brothers everywhere...sigh |
Melaye be like..just cruising |
