I have some naive questions the pros: 1. What happens if too many people bet on a team winning, does the odd stay the same or it reduces? For example, If 100 people bet on a team winning and this team wins while the other team lost with just about 10 bettors. How would the winners share the winnings supposing 10 losers bet 1000 each. 2. How do the likes of Nairabet determine the odds? do they just pull it out of their asses? 3. Do the operators of betting business incur losses? 4. Can an operator alter the odds when a game is live? Thanks |

dpuzo: For me i think you should start something new instead of tryin to add to nairaland or atleast get proper permission and get an api. Nairaland is ok the way it is, a forum. You can even send personal message if thats your problem. Too many features on a site is not good and in the end you lose the core feature just see facebook, always adding and removing features and now its boring. Just my opinion sha.I understand you. Nobody is adding anything to Nairaland.If you are not using the extension, you won't get any extended features the app provides.Nairaland's core is not affected. I think this is something new even though the features that I am working own are not new or innovative. There are other ideas I would be exploring but first I need to create a sort of platform to test stuffs and see users reactions. |

Stupid people. Anyone who believes this is a daft. How can a company recently valued at $50 Billion and recieved 450 million funding. How would any sane person end a the worlds greatest social software just because he feels he wants his old life back or he is unable to maintain it. Yes its owned by Christ Embassy, i was in church when he unveiled it. I think this site will in no time become Nigeria's largest community based on the fact that Christ Embassy has the muscles to market. It brings together the millions of Pastor Chris's twitter followers and those on facebook. I hope i wont offend God when i decide to compete against my pastor and his work.
