saintkel:Are you just knowing that one? I have since left this forum for Seun and his APC minions because of this same sentiment. That the owner of this forum is a paid APC apologist is no longer a hidden fact but it's verifiable. Why do you posts supporting APC or the government get several likes within a short timeframe even without anybody reading it. This year alone I have been banned over 5 times for just criticizing the government on this forum meanwhile I have posted worst things on Quora and twitter and I got several retweet on same issues. This is why Nigerian companies don't scale up because they attach sentiments and political patronage to everything. |
jahbenedict:You were making sense until you included Funsho Williams. The one that killed Funsho Williams is in Aso Rock today and funshos death has nothing to do with Obasanjo. Was Funsho Williams not in the same PDP with obj so what motive does obj have to kill him? |
blacksam01:Most poeple don't know how powerful wike is with Nigeria's judiciary, he has swinged so many judgment and his wife is also a powerful judge. Majority of the bigwigs in PDP has one or more court cases and he needs do is to revisit their files in court and assign his paid judges to do the needful. That's why everybody in PDP is afraid of him, the ones that are unafraid of him have gone to ADC. |
Reference:I wish I can like your comment 10 times more because this is the expectation in any sane society or organisation and it shows that you understand corporate governance. But unfortunately this country is the worst kind of country anyone can be not just because the leaders are bad but because the followers too are shallow minded. When it gets to election time instead of asking the fundamental question that should form the basis for voting which is " Was my life better off before Tinubu and now" so many unnecessary sentiments will take over that simple logical question. Sentiments like, Omo wa ni eje o shey, it's a Muslim Muslim ticket, Tinubu has a private jet, Peter Obi is an Omo Ibo, Atiku is too corrupt, They should settle me to vote. This country is beyond redemption so lets just give up. |
abbey621:Though I understand where you are coming from and I know that poverty dealt a higher and serious blow to you while growing which is evident in this abnormal analysis you made . To think that you are postulating that eggs which is a common stable food and should form a nutritional diet of every child should only be reserved for special days is not only shallow but a miguided statement in all ramifications. Infact, the WHO recommended one egg per day for every child but in your attempt to support what is not supportable and to show that you probably grew up in a refugee camp you have decided to say eggs should only be eaten on special days like you did and even attach some luxury living to eating eggs!!! If minimum wage cannot make someone to afford eggs then what else would be affordable to the person , is it rice which is a no go area because a bag is 80k, beans no go area too or potatoes. You people should not bring your refugee camp mindset to this forum and allow people to live their lives in peace instead of gaslighting them unnecessarily in a bid to make Nigeria and government look ok. I don't blame you but the fellow that brought this stupid comparison to this forum in the first place. |
iwaeda:This scanner thinks he's deceiving us while deceiving himself. Someone that's being investigated for fraud. He has seen that Kyari cashed out big time from the refineries and now it's his own turn to enrich himself so he can't let go. Why are Nigerian thieves so corrupt and insatiable despite all the billions they have amassed for themselves? |
oxygenlove:I think you should double check your comments because it's illogical. Peter Obi is not hoping for anything bad to happen to Nigeria if at all you read the message before commenting, he's merely drawing your attention to the fact that something bad has already happened to Nigeria which is championed by Tinubu and APC based on the fact on ground. You can either play the ostrich and dismiss it because of your political affiliation but it doesn't change the fact, Peter Obi did not prepare the report of the declining FDI it was prepared by the NBS which is an arm of the government so I don't get your point at all. |
chidiokay:Imassive drop in FDI inflow in any economy is actually a strong indicator of a bad economy. You cannot on one hand be praising the government for reforms that have not yielded any tangible result and on the other hand be waving off the impact of absence of FDI in the country. Infact, it goes hand in hand because where investors feel safe and comfortable to get reward for their investments they put their money so this is a strong indicator that Tinubus reform is only on paper and nothing tangible is on ground working. |
Softmirror:She's got nothing to worry about anymore since all copies of the sex tape have been deleted. Her son will never grow up to see it |
mannobi:I wish people that make stupid comments like this come to where real men are to say these things and see if they won't be dazed like mad. What contributions have you ever made to speak for the voiceless in your life? You that is not doing gragra how much has the government listened to you by giving you good health, road , schools and general well being? Yet you come online to criticize someone that's championing a good cause while you sleep on your couch criticizing the same person for doing gragra as if the government has ever listened to any person that is not making gragra. You must be indeed very docile to sore this rubbish, the man is the Gain Fawehinmi and Fela of our time but it's unfortunate he found himself in the generation of docile young men who feeds off government hand out of 30k per month and never stand for anything in their life like you. |
helinues:I have always thought you are not so lettered and perhaps under 20 with most of your comments that I see here and this comment has further confirmed that bias. There's no country in the world where GDP and per capital income is measured in the local currency, infact the very essence of gdp is to measure comparative productivity between countries so you cannot do that with local currency unless with the international currency which is USD since local currencies are subjective . The other day when Peter Obi came out to say Nigeria loan is over NGN170Trn, your lots alongside Reno Omokri went to town to scream that the loans should be calculated in USD since the currency is floated to show the government is working even though over 60% of the loans are domestic debts and bonds which are not sourced for in foreign currencies. Now that USD is not in your favour you want us to calculate GDP in Naira to further delude unlettered people like yourself. APC supporters always amaze me sha, cherry picking just to prove a stupid point that is so glaring that even a blind man can see in this economy. |
nairalanda1:Nobody is insinuating that you are an APC supporter, I am only saying you should stop downplaying their success compared to the present disaster to high prices . Infact I just checked and crude oil prices presently at USD85 is higher than OBJs time. OBJs attraction of FDI in his time is due to his government policies and not due to oil prices. OBJs tenure was the last time an American president visited Nigeria, what does that tell you about his foreign policies and how that would translate to FDI influx? OBJs tenure was the time Nigeria banks consolidated and capital based increased to 25Bn, why would that not attract investors? OBJs tenure was the time the pension industry was floated in Nigeria with the enactment of pension law and Pencom, OBJs tenure was the start of the GSM and telecoms revolution in Nigeria . Why will all these activities not attract massive influx of FDI's and the statistics do not lie as you can see. Pls stop downplaying babas visionary government and yarning dusts that it's caused by oil prices pls. |
nairalanda1:If not for maturity I would have insulted you for this response before but I am a better man now. Ideally, I have stopped responding to fake narratives on this platform but distortion of facts such as this if left unchallenged would be taken by ignorant folks and turned to truths in beer parlours or public discourse. Firstly, there's no correlation between oil prices and FDI in any economy, while oil prices impacts government revenue to fund budget, FDI impacts inflows that mainly translates to exchange rate stability. The main reason naira was stable and not devalued daily in objs regime was due to the high rate of fdis experienced in his time . All the policy direction of obj like sale of NNPC,sale of nitel,NEPA ,debt forgiveness, floating of NLNG and better security network is what aided the massive influx of FDI's in his time and not your warped half-baked analysis of oil prices. If it's oil prices then why did Jonathan not attract better FDI than obj since oil price was much higher in his time than OBJs own? What the guy said is the truth that obj is by far the best president Nigeria has ever had and should have been allowed to continue. Was there book haram or bandits in OBJs time? Would any investor want to invest in a boko haram haven? Sometimes when you peddle your fact misrepresentation you should limit it to illiterates and ignorant fellows and not come online to just spit jargons to those that actually experienced it. |
PastorKosi:This is absolutely true, particularly that " I regret marrying you or how did I end up with you". The very day my wife said that to me was when my mind left the marriage. I am only in the marriage now cos of my kids that are still young. Once they are a bit grown I will show her the way out. |
Image123:Your shamelessness is shaming me honestly. So after spending over USD10Bn to fix a refinery that barely worked for 2 months this is the best defence you can put up. Truly a country followers deserves the kind of leaders they get. |
iwaeda:I and several others are beginning to hate this forum more and more due to the incessant ban, it seems this forum has been bought by ebilokan and posts from agadorians are being glorified while comments from sabe Nigerians are deleted and the posters banned. I see more constructive and harsh criticisms of the government on X and IG and noone gets banned but Seun that's yet to get to anywhere is banning people for validly criticizing the government. This is one of the numerous reasons while Nigerian companies don't grow cos they refuse to scale upwards once they start receiving handouts from governments. You will see useless posts from agadorians getting likes on front-page while you get banned once you comment something negative about the government. Continue o sogbo. |
EponObi:Tinubu has zero impact on the reduction of petrol imports in Nigeria, the person you should be thanking is Dangote for setting up his refinery. Tinubus impact in Dangotes business is zero , infact Buhari and Emefiele if any government policy is involved because they are the ones that provided Dangote cheap dollar to set up his refinery. The rubbish NNPC refineries that Tinubu wasted our our Usd1.5Bn on have all stopped functioning today. |
helinues:Keep deceiving yourself, the reason Nigeria is experiencing trade surplus is because of less imports and not because of more productivity in the economy. The reason for the less import is because of the exchange rate because Nigerians are now sourcing local alternatives in place of exports e.g rice, even human hair are being imported less as women now embrace local braids. This is actually not a bad thing though but to delude yourself that there's more industry and production going on in the economy is just blatant rubbish . Otherwise can you mention how many car factories ,steel companies or production sites have been set up that's making Nigeria to export like you said. |
vinityermie:I will never vote for anybody again in my life. All past and present politicians have disappointed me and I given up on Nigeria. The country is a lost cause and a zoo. |
Chilipepper:I rarely say hello, if it's an unsaved no on my phone I will just bark "Who be this" as an always guiding man, ija wa ija o si. If the no is saved I will say "How far". I don't say hello. |

Maxymilliano:Even a child born yesterday knew that the USD1.5Bn loan taken by Mele Kyari with our untapped crude oil to rehabilitate refineries has gone as money for the boys again yet no one will be held accountable. This is the same Tinubu government that promised to fight corruption few days ago while he himself is corruption personified. Yet to the agbadorian Mofos Tinubu is the best thing that happened after sliced bread. Once they start gaslighting you with their paper achievements on this forum just ask them where's our USD1.5Bn loan they took to revamp refineries and where are the working refineries and watch them go dumb. |
SusanOpeyemi:2015 too far, ask him how much was rice when Tinubu took office in 2023 and how much is it now? |
Omooba77:Here we go again from this useless and callous government. What exactly are these loans used for ? Buying cars for Obas and politicians, sharing palliatives and buying presidential jets. Can anyone articulate how Nigerians have benefited from the money already borrowed by this useless good for nothing government that they want to borrow more again? The USD1.5Bn borrowed by Mele Kyari to repair refineries is yet to be repaid by our untapped crude oil but today no refinery is functioning in this country yet Tinubu wants to keep borrowing despite telling us subsidy is gone and all other shenanigans. Nigeria is truly a zoo and this country is cursed, if you are able to flee from this zoo and never return. |
Fiscus105:Don't blame PDP blame the corrupt Nigerian judiciary, Woke has a court judgement that forbids the PDP from suspending or expelling him from the party. He owns the judiciary that's why he builds houses for judges in Abuja while he's unable to pay pensioners their pension. |
lexy2014:The system is also a part of the problem because this system promotes wastages, you cannot have a bicameral legislature, over bloated executives in a poor country like Nigeria and expect capital developments to flourish. At the end of every budget cycle more money is spent on reccurent useless things like buying of cars, feeding and foreign trips of politicians instead of actual projects that benefit the people, pls use your brain. |
. Using the minimum wage in Nigeria and then turning around using one of the highest pay in forign country. If you're earning minimum wage in 9ja, you have no business buying a crate of eggs, even while growing up in the late 80s and early 90s, we only ate eggs on special days not all the time. Just like someone earning $8 or $15 an hour has no business buying organic eggs for $16.99, there are options as low as $6, trust me if you are comparing egg cost, make sure to compare housing and healthcare cost too, na then you go know say una dey enjoy for 9ja
