LASSA FEVER OUTBREAK!!! PROTECT YOURSELF WITH THESE HEALTH TIPS!

There has been an outbreak of lassa fever in Nigeria and sadly, the disease is spreading. Lagos is the latest state to be hit by the disease. Given the huge population of Lagos, it can become a huge problem if people don't arm themselves with preventive health tips.

Please, DO NOT panic. Get accurate information and keep yourself protected. Use the following health tips to prevent the infection:

1. MAINTAIN GOOD ENVIRONMENTAL HYGIENE: keep your immediate environment clean. Dispose off refuse, especially remnants of foods, which attract rodents to the home. Keep your waste bins properly covered always.

2. WATCH WHAT YOU EAT:
While the infection can also spread through physical contact with an infected person, the virus is mainly gotten from eating foods that have been contaminated with the urine or faeces of rodents which harbour the virus.

3. KEEP RODENTS AWAY FROM THE HOUSE:
Rodents are the carriers of the lassa fever virus. So keep the rodents off the house, vicinity, etc. But especially, do not allow them access to the kitchen where food stuffs are kept. Cover your foods properly. Use every effective means to eliminate the rodents from the home.

4. AVOID BUSHMEATS FOR NOW:
While most people cannot do without bushmeats, for the sake of your health, avoid bushmeats for now. Bush rats, Grasscutters, Squirrels, etc should be temporarily avoided.

5. SEEK URGENT MEDICAL HELP IF YOU NOTICE THE SYMPTOMS:
Usually, it takes about 2-21 days for symptoms to start manifesting. In most cases, the symptoms are mild and very similar to those of malaria and typhoid fever so it can be difficult to tell which is which. However, when it is very severe, symptoms like facial swelling, difficulty with breathing, very low blood pressure and most importantly bleeding from the mouth, nose, female genital and other orifices are present. Seek medical help immediately while you can.

NB: Report any suspected case to the nearest health care facility.

Is it a sin to have sexual drive or sexual desire as a single Christian?

My own opinion
It is generally believed that sex is bad,which is not correct. Sex is good, it is a gift from God and it was created by him to be enjoyed only in marriage . Sex becomes bad when it is done outside of marriage(premarital and extra marital).

Now talking about sexual drive, there is nothing wrong with having sexual drive or sexual desire as a single, and it is not a sin either. It is part of our integral being to have sexual feeling from puberty, and God made it that way. So there is nothing to be ashamed of, Everyone have sexual urges,both male and female,married or single, Virgin or 'nonvirgin'.

But sexual drive becomes a sin when you allow it to control you. Sexual drive which is normal can turn to lust which is the evil desire of what doesn't belong to you. Lust is an uncontrollable desire for something evil and wrong.

Roman 6:12-13 says"Do not let sin control the way you live,do not give in to sinful desires. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin . Instead give yourselves completely to God..."

Just like temptation is not a sin,but falling into temptations is a sin,so also having sexual desire is not a sin,but feeding those sexual desire outside of marriage is a sin.
So even though you are born again and spirit filled and fire brand,that doesn't mean God will switch off your sexual desire, but there are ways to put them under control.

1. Even though sexual urges are normal,there are things that also triggers it in our mind, the kind of movies we watch,the magazine and books we read, and images that are subconsciously registered in our brain, the music we listen too can even trigger it. So study your self and look out for the things that you do often that might triggers the urges more in you and stop them.

2. Channel your sexual drive into a creative output. That is channel your energy into something that you love to do, focus on things that will keep you busy for God and make you happy too. In short be purposeful.

3.Self control and willpower: God has given us the power to control ourself at will. Self control is a fruit of the holy spirit, and even believer should be able Control their thoughts and their mind. If you have had sexual experiences before,it is normal for you to remember them when ever you have sexual urges,but learn to control your thoughts.

4. Talk to someone and seek for advice and counsel. Through this you will realise that everyone have sexual urges, it is not just peculiar to you alone as many people think. Everyone have sexual urges,married or single,female or male.

5. Praying and filling your mind with the word of God. There is nothing too trivial that we shouldn't tell God about, though he won't switch off your sexual urges but he will help you put it under control. So talk to him about it daily, tell him to help you control it.

"I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you" Psalm119:19. The constant study of God's word cannot be overemphasized in every facet of our lifes, the more of his Word you have the more of his power you will have to say No to sin and it's appearances.

Most importantly always remember that sexual drives are an integral part of you as a human being,accepting this fact is the first step to controlling your sexual desires

It is necessary you tell your spouse so that he/she may be aware and also forgive you too... because you have wronged him/her... Furthermore, so as not to have the gut to go back into it again.

The society is turning out pervert daily... My submission is for parents to pay a good attention to their wards... Rape cases is getting out of hand. I pity the girl child.

Congrats man... big man no be by size. I pray one day to do likewise for my mother.

I feel your pains bro, I'll advise you get your sister arrested, she should be treated as a criminal. if not it will be impunity of the highest grade. Because from your narration, your sister doesn't have an atom of respect for your family members.
I know you love your mom, but you just have to leave her at this point for your own home, thank God you said you are financially buoyant.
Finally, you have to pray fervently for her. I know God can change anybody.

This man is a sadist... If a girl is no longer safe with the father, I wonder where she will get refuge?
To raise a girl child without been defiled or abuse this days required God's help.
