fermin isn't a LW is he? Whenever he was deployed at LW last season he always drifted into midfield like there was something magneting him to the middle of the pitch. Olmo has decent speed, excellent dribbling and very good goal scoring ability.

Nico's staying at Bilbao so olmo is definitely playing the LW, he's not taking away any minutes for pedri or fermin.
The only issue I see here is his injury problems, but he could do a dembele and stay fit all season.

He had acres of space and enough time to shoot, which he did. That goal doesn't disprove the fact that he isn't a natural/pure dribbler

The reasons why I'll agree with you is experience and due to strain on yamal's young body at his age, if not talent wise that kid flogs Raphinha hands down, the only thing you can even use to hold him at the moment is his shooting but he was a very prolific and intelligent goal scorer at lamasia and Spanish youth tournaments not your normal tap in goals and I'm sure with time he'll translate it to the senior team as he grows in experience, there were even several reports in the past perez invited his father to the bernabeu and that was when lamine was still in the cadet team I should think, how many players would do what he did at the Euros no matter their ages?

Mbappe became a starter at age 18 not 17, and that was when he was at a not so demanding club, Monaco. He left to PSG at 19 after the 2018 world cup.
Look, there's honestly nothing special about what yamal has done so far. It's just that he's playing well beyond his age. It's not like he's dropping jaw dropping performances game after game.
If yamal was in his twenties, he wouldn't get the attention and PR that he's getting right now. If we should be honest and remove sentiments, Raphinha is a better player at the moment, even though he struggles to beat his man. In less games and despite xavi's lack of faith in him last season, he had more goals and assists than yamal.
If flick is smart, he would look at who is going to have more impact on games, and that is Raphinha. Raphinha should be his starter next season ahead of yamal who still has a lot of learning and honing to do.
