Politics › Re: Capital Importation Is Increasing, Atiku Got This Wrong Again - Onanuga by commoditiesnig(m): 8:46am On Feb 19, 2024 |
Nvestor02: Atiku is a loser. On the economy level, Tinubu is doing well. The best plan to make Nigeria great is to stop borrowing money to run government.
Tinubu is now generating big money that no body can borrow us internally and has had increased the State allocations to bring more infrastructure to our locality.
The only thing affecting our food distribution is insecurity and Tinubu has already declared war against it....
He has set a force called FOREST RANGERS to comb our forest, and he is now planning to create state police. 💯
It's now for us the citizens to live up to the current reality. This govt has challenged everybody to work and make money to take care of ourselves.
Govt can only help citizens to pay for certain things when economy is stable, not when it's dying.
ND also sure that before the middle of March, new minimum wage would have been implemented because are negotiation for it already. Well said |

He was attacking subsidies even more than Tinubu.
He said it was a scam, racket, organised corruption, etc etc, and that he would get rid of it ON DAY ONE.
No “process”.
Just straight up removal.

Politics › Re: FG To Borrow N2.5tr Via FG Bond In February by commoditiesnig(m): 8:55am On Feb 15, 2024 |
Excellent clarification. DeLaRue: It is a good strategy for the government.
Part of the reasons for the current high inflation is that Mr Buhari's government printed way too much naira.
The current government has been trying to get some of the excess naira liquidity out of the system.
One smart way of doing it is through the issuance of long term bonds. The money that individuals, companies, financial institutions, pension companies and foreign investors use to buy the bonds will be taken out of their bank accounts, thus reducing the amount of naira in the system.
As more of that liquidity is taken out of the system, it will help to bring down the rate of inflation.
The government has to use several tools to combat inflation. Issuance of long term bonds is one of them. |
