Those lands occupied by Turkey, Syria, Iraq, were Christian lands with Christian people, before the Ottoman empire, which turkey is an offshoot of, seized the lands and Arabs flooded in. Turkey is a radical Islamic nation.

Israel can't take on Turkey without the US, and I can't see the US taking on Turkey, a NATO member.

As a military power, Turkey is no joke.
Exactly.. Turkey is NATO 2nd Largest member/contributor after US.

Turkey have always handled Israel with tact/diplomacy.. Also there’s a Jewish community in Istanbul

PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Never Said That Crashing The Price Of Food Would Make Farmers Poor by commoditiesnig(m): 1:35pm On Mar 02
Exactly.. well said
glolomoh:
While I understood his argument that food importation would kill local food production and farmer's business, I must say that the food importation is necessary at this period because when nigerian farmers were given the opportunity to feed the nation during Buhari regime and early part of Tinubu regime, they almost kill us with food inflation, hunger and famine. They deliberately created artificial scarcity in order to increase the price. They thrown the country into chaos for their selfish gain. They make bumper profit at the masses expenses. And, instead of using these greedily acquired profit to improve and enlarge their business, they were spending as if there will be no tomorrow.

I keep on maintaining it that an average nigerian should not be given monopolistic advantage for any essential commodity. Let them compete locally and globally.

When we say obi is daffft and incoherent. This is one of it.

Peter obi is proposing we keep the farmer (cabal) rich and happy, while the populace (Nigerians) poor and hungry.

Lol 😂.. Gov Otti really disappoint some of us his outside admirers.. in local parlance “he fall our hand”

A Sanwo-Olu, Fashola, even my former gov Oshiomole would have responded intelligently to that question.

PoliticsRe: “When You Come To My Media Chat, Prepare Very Well” — Otti Tells Journalist by commoditiesnig(m): 10:17pm On Feb 28
Gov Otti really ‘fall my hand’. my first time actually listening to him interacting. He messed up big time.

1. As a Leader you ought to be temperate.. no matter what is thrown at you, be it questions or accusations, calm and calculated response is required.. Otti response was VERY RUDE of a supposed leader.

2. The journalist question was on course - as Gov IT IS YOUR DUTY TO KNOW THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF YOUR SERVICE DELIVERY to your citizens.. not from Journalist.

3. In the end Gov Otti actually started answering the same Journalist questions that he initially condemned.. that’s appalling!

4. I’m shocked at a lot of folks here criticising the journalist. He asked a simple question.

Gov Otti you can do better. ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING!

PoliticsRe: Crashing Food Price Would Make Farmers Poor - Peter Obi by commoditiesnig(m): 6:31pm On Feb 28
Lol.. my friend don’t be ridiculous and clever by half! You think you’re talking to kids here.

What do you mean by ‘stored’ many bags. Oga you were HOARDING Foodstuffs meant to be sold at the right time to make good turnover for you.. Instead you lots were Greedy as many Nigerian farmers/business men have been.

Greed “killed” most farmers/business men business.. they thought of themselves rather than the people.

I’m not saying storage/hoarding is bad.. But when done so long at DETRIMENT OF people is Bad

I don’t pity these hoarders

sirchim:
If you understand what he meant you are smart. Many of us stored many bags of grains, hoping to sell and make our profits. But today, it has crashed putting many of us into debts. As I am typing this, my bro is in a debt of #54M. OBI is RIGHT, our business is being frustrated by the government, that made food stuffs gone so high, due to bad economy. And today, it has crashed, such that it has put many of us into debts.

Obi is just clueless about everything. He talks carelessly.
Don’t mind him.. absolutely clueless and careless with statements
PoliticsRe: Crashing Food Price Would Make Farmers Poor - Peter Obi by commoditiesnig(m): 6:17pm On Feb 28
Baba no talk wetin you no know!

Do you know how much incentives the last admin and I think this admin gave to farmers in bid to make foodstuff available and cheaper.. what did the farmers do instead? Some use the monies for something else, SOME FARMERS ACTUALLY HOARDED THEIR FOODSTUFFS THEREBY CREATING ARTIFICIAL SCARCITY and OUTRAGEOUS PRICES. Rice, Beans and other staple foods items were hoarded. (I know this personally cos a close person of mine is a rice farmer, he affirmed this to me. I’m also into Commodities trading so I know).

What do you expect the Govt to do.. they have to open up the boarders to people can import and give competition to the greedy farmers.

Citizens Criticise Govt - not farmers - when food prices are high and Commend Govt when prices are Low.

Obi messed up on this matter.. cho cho cho!

Macphenson:
That headline is misleading. Listen to Peter Obi and understand that the Person that wrote the headline is mischievous.

Peter Obi was mak8ng reference to basic foods being imported, which have automatically killed farming. Manufacturing houses have been turned to warehouses of imported foods which is not a good one for the country.
In line with his consistent slogan, he said he would move the country from consumption to Production. Now we are importing basic foods we should plant that simply means we have killed farming and farmer's business in Nigeria.

Of course it will come with serious consequences.

People up there can't comprehend. They don't even have data to listen to Peter Obi.
PoliticsRe: Mr President & Nat. Assembly, push for REGIONAL POLICE instead of State Police by commoditiesnig(op): 5:46pm On Feb 28
Brilliant submission.. I didn’t think that route

UzorIyke:
We have no regional government that will enshrine the law on their constitution and also that will regulate them, moreover given regional security may cause misunderstanding with some region with the federal government here by causing another civil war (the Nigeria civil war of 1967 is the reason of these states in 1967 instead of regions)
So no government will like that.
PoliticsRe: Mr President & Nat. Assembly, push for REGIONAL POLICE instead of State Police by commoditiesnig(op): 11:39am On Feb 28

He said democratic settings and I showed him one which is the US which is the governance structure we are coping!
But if I may ask....is it wrong to copy such police structure that will ensure the powers of political officer holders are limited on the police?
No it’s not wrong at all. I absolutely agree with you

God bless President Donald Trump
God bless the US Department of War
God bless the USA.
PoliticsRe: Mr President & Nat. Assembly, push for REGIONAL POLICE instead of State Police by commoditiesnig(op): 11:20am On Feb 28
I think it’s premature to start comparing Nigeria system to US advanced democracy. Let’s work a way to make either regional or state police work effectively to suit our country

US police system shouldn’t be our benchmark for now

bentenny:
You obviously seem to not know that there are limitations to the powers of the president on the federal policing agencies esp FBI!
I suggest you do more research esp the post Watergate reforms before misinforming people here!
