My guess is that he knew the transaction was fraudulent from the very beginning. His sudden attempt to claim ownership appears calculated.

He likely acted because he knew the person who fraudulently acquired the property was nearing death, and he wanted to exploit his insider knowledge of the entire scheme.

Knowing that the original owner could no longer openly defend or explain the acquisition, especially since the property was not registered in his real name and was allegedly purchased with ill-gotten wealth traced back to Nigeria, he moved in to position himself as the beneficiary.

In essence, this looks less like a legitimate claim and more like an opportunistic move to inherit the proceeds of fraud, banking on silence, confusion, and the inability of the real actors to come forward.

When Nigeria finally gets it right politically, institutionally, and in leadership, all properties illegally acquired by government officials or through public office must be forfeited, whether they are located in Nigeria or abroad. There can be no sanctuary for assets linked to corruption, no matter how powerful the individuals involved or how sophisticated the paper trail appears.

In all, it's shameful!

TINUBU has no hand in it, the road you are talking about is Enugu Onitsha express road, it's MTN Nigeria that's constructing it under the tax to infrastructure agreement signed under Buhari,

The only road tinubu has done in a Enugu is flyover in eke obinagu side along Enugu abakiliki express road,

The Enugu Makurdi express that cut across 9th mile is still all talk, nothing has been done there, the road is almost impassable now.

Any state governor found to have hands in terrorism financing should be made to face the full wrath of the law even if he/she is still is a sitting governor.
