Politics › Re: FG Slams 3 Count Charges Against Mike Ozekhome by commoditiesnig(m): 11:34pm On Jan 18 |
Absolutely irresponsible of Mike Ozekhome Mrdecent: My guess is that he knew the transaction was fraudulent from the very beginning. His sudden attempt to claim ownership appears calculated.
He likely acted because he knew the person who fraudulently acquired the property was nearing death, and he wanted to exploit his insider knowledge of the entire scheme.
Knowing that the original owner could no longer openly defend or explain the acquisition, especially since the property was not registered in his real name and was allegedly purchased with ill-gotten wealth traced back to Nigeria, he moved in to position himself as the beneficiary.
In essence, this looks less like a legitimate claim and more like an opportunistic move to inherit the proceeds of fraud, banking on silence, confusion, and the inability of the real actors to come forward.
When Nigeria finally gets it right politically, institutionally, and in leadership, all properties illegally acquired by government officials or through public office must be forfeited, whether they are located in Nigeria or abroad. There can be no sanctuary for assets linked to corruption, no matter how powerful the individuals involved or how sophisticated the paper trail appears.
In all, it's shameful! Well said bro.. |

How long are we going to continue to defend instead of attacking them everywhere they are until they are completely wiped out? Well said.. They should be more proactive not reactive. |

Thedon22: If Tinubu did not create a conducive business environment for Mtn would they have had money to venture into such? Please, use your sense. For Mtn to embark on that means they are benefiting from Tinubus policies. Same Mtn that was repatriating money to SA during Buharis time. Federal, States and LGAs allocations has double or tripled in some cases due to Tinubus policies. So, kudos to him. Don’t mind that ignorant fellow! Underrating power of the President |

Don’t mind them.. hypocrites Goldensword: TINUBU has no hand in it, the road you are talking about is Enugu Onitsha express road, it's MTN Nigeria that's constructing it under the tax to infrastructure agreement signed under Buhari,
The only road tinubu has done in a Enugu is flyover in eke obinagu side along Enugu abakiliki express road,
The Enugu Makurdi express that cut across 9th mile is still all talk, nothing has been done there, the road is almost impassable now. If Tinubu wins in 2027, it's a win for the Atikus and if Atiku wins in 2027, it's still a win for the Atikus. Same thing Hell Rufai and Son. Son in Apc, father in ADC. We must pay attention when close family members of office seekers take decisions against their ambitions. We all heard Peter Obi sometime again claim that his children had to record him anything he’s making promises so that they would have evidence anytime he tries to deny his promises. And not surprisingly, his children stayed away from his campaign in 2023. It’s a message that shouldn’t be lost on Nigerians. Well said.. that individual was simply hypocritic |

Gbam! I’ve stated this time and again. Immunity shouldn’t cover a governor with terrorism financing and involvement at all GreenCovering: Terrorism or terrorism financing should not be part of the immunity that a state governor enjoys as the effects of terrorism affects the whole nation. Any state governor found to have hands in terrorism financing should be made to face the full wrath of the law even if he/she is still is a sitting governor. |
Politics › Re: EFCC’s Terrorism Financing, Money Laundering Charges Against Bauchi Officials by commoditiesnig(m): 9:52am On Jan 15 |
My brother this revelation really amaze me. Seeing a state govt. funding non state actors.. most unfortunate The FG/Presidency need to action on this urgently.. matter of national security Dogalmighty17: And what exactly does Bauchi state produce? A state that receives more from the federation account than it generates. Now, why exactly is the governor of Bauchi state sending hard currency to the head of a known terrorist organisation? Simple, to fund their operations all over the country. The guns, the weapons and ammunition the Fulani all over Nigeria are using to kill, this is how they get funded.
The foreign Fulani mercenaries that are hired to come and kill in Nigeria, this is how they get paid. It is not out of place to believe that the Bauchi state governor is not the only governor in the north doing this.
If democracy wasn't a charade in Nigeria, the Bauchi house of assembly would have initiated impeachment proceedings against the governor long ago. |
