Please has anyone gotten a B1/B2 visa after the 8th of July ,2025? How long were you given? |
Sorted |
They see these cases as pure money making avenue. I paid 50k already as well and he is asking for another 45k. When I told him I don't have, he said Byebye. No refund , no result, no remorse... You all be careful this December. |
I have been unable to get my son's passport printed out in UK. Used the old NIN that has a wrong D.O.B to pay for passport . I used the new NIN that has the the right details. Now it has to approved by the office in Abuja. The Uk office says they have sent it to Abuja for approval but still waiting. I need to travel urgently and he is only a 1 year old. Please I will appreciate any help. I have had few experiences with the Nigeria Embassy, so I know it is a waiting game. But this time around, it is quite urgent. |
This might not be the right place to ask. Will like to know if there are interesting tech podcasts for Africans especially in Diaspora. I am searching for remote junior dev roles after finishing a front end developer bootcamp as a female. Need a community that is full of been there done that and are very helpful. |
Olu3319:Any update? |
Jidekelechi:Hello, Hope it is not too late. Track it here https://track.immigration.gov.ng/ Kindly update if you have sorted it out. |
leorayvon2k2:Yes, 2 was delivered. But I made an error with one of the kids NIN in May 2022 and I rectified it in December. Still waiting for that to be delivered, fingers crossed. Note; if your NIN is not verified your passport will not be printed. Click on link below to track your progress. https://track.immigration.gov.ng/ |
Sadiq3051:Due dates are not always accurate. Please keep her entertained, pamper and get busy(as much as she can collect ). She should get a bit of exercise in and use local remedies if she can.No need to worry at all. If you turn to hospital too early, she might get unnecessary intervention. I hear okra water, green pawpaw water or even ewedu juice can help some pregnant women. I intend to try them this time around. |
My kids passport update; Did 2 of my kids passport in JULY and got the passport 2nd of February. Reason; NIN could not be activated due to a name that appeared on the passport application but was not on the NIN registration. But it was rectified and all was fine. Did 1 in May for another kid but did the biggest mistake by adding a middle name during NIN registration and a different middle name on the application. I had to pay new payment to correct the NIN and it is still not activated. Until the NIN is activated passport will not printed. So my advice, take your child's birth certificate to register your NIN. Make sure you have the certificate at hand when filling the application. That way everything will be fine. Don't ommit any name no matter how long the names are. The NIN and passport office can decide to shorten the name themselves if need be. For adult, make sure you fill application and NIN with exactly the same name in the exact order .Very important. |
gabialonso:Please make sure the name on the application is the same as the name you put for the owner. It should work. |
Nevermind got my passport. |
Will like to connect with women in Tech that are currently working and have husband and kids. Few things I will like to know; - How easy is it to balance home and work if self employed/ employed . - How do I get into the tech world? Finished degree in computer science in 2008. Never worked in tech, built few websites using wordpress and learnt some few programming language . But I have mostly focused on raising family. Will like to know if I get a job if I certify on something or simply open a business. Men are welcome to contribute too. Thank you. |
Your new application should have your husbands name and NIN should be updated too. It is important that your NIN data and Application data is exactly the same. I have the perfect video for you, watch it and read all the comments you get all the full info. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cwXJpZtskA If you are successful, please share it with us on here. I want to do mine too later this year. Brightyylove: |
It can be changed to a later date but I think it will be pure luck to find an earlier date. Emmyk: |
Tawak:£20 ,to the agent that did my NIN. |
Tawak:When you go for your biometric they let you know then.I have tried to find out before but no luck. I had to pay for activation too here in the UK but you can only take their word for it. |
aieromon:Thank you. |
Please I need to find out why my kids passport have not been printed since June. |
aieromon:Really? I wanted to change my son's on his NIN in uk and the lady said I have to do a new NIN. Since he has his NIN ,can anyone adjust his data in Nigeria? That will be so helpful Nigeria embassy has refused to issue him a passport b'cos of that. |

If you are in London, then I will say print out all documents book an appointment with your application I'd on the website . And go to the embassy with your bank statement showing the payment coming out as evidence. Or on the application page, try to request for refund. Phoning the embassy might be very difficult. |
nineville:Sorry for the late reply but no. |
Obafemipupo:I am so sorry for the reply. When I did mine in March, I got my passport within 2 weeks of Biometric. But for my kids which I did in May and July I have not still gotten it. I got through to them in September and they told me one of the kids NIN has a different second name. The other 2 I removed one name when I was doing their biometrics. They said there shouldn't be a problem but till now nothing I emailed no reply. I don't live in London and I have not had time to go yet. In conclusion, if all your data matches and your NIN is activated then you should get it within 2 weeks after appointment. |
playces:Great, what step would you like me to take or what info do you need? |
omorttee4u:That is great thank you. But if you can also share it on here that will be great ,I met many people at the embassy who had the same issue. It seems to be a common issue which many people in the Diaspora have no way to solve. |
omorttee4u:That is exactly what I heard too and I wanted to see if anyone knows anyone that can do. I know it will cost money, but I want to know how much so I can get it sorted. Will like to get my passport ASAP. |
Oppavii:Please kindly explain the difference if you know it. And do you know how I can get it done. |
Please help, I went to the Nigeria embassy and I was told my NIN has not been activated. I was told my passport will not be printed until my NIN is activated. I heard it can be done in Nigeria but don't have any connection with anyone to help me do that in Nigeria, can someone let me know how to go about it. |
