Politics / Re: How Is Minimum Wage Calculated ? by comradesunday(m): 3:40pm On Jun 07
[PUBLIC SERVICE RULES AND FINANCIAL REGULATION MADE IT EXPRESSLY CLEAR
FROM LEVEL 8 TO LEVEL 17
WHAT IS ADDED IS NOT MORE THAN 35% OF THE AGREED AMOUNT ACCEPTED AS THE MINIMUM WAGE

THE ONLY SET OF PEOPLE THAT ENJOYED IT FULLY IS LEVEL 4 AND ANY OTHER LEVEL THAT FALLS WITHIN SAME CATEGORY.
FOR EXAMPLE, #120.000 IS ACCEPTED AS THE NEW MINIMUM WAGE, CORPERS, WILL GET THE FULL SALARY INCREMENTS MEANWHILE, CLERICAL OFFICERS WILL GET A LITTLE REDUCED AMOUNT FROM THE #120.000 AND FOR SENIOR CIVIL SERVANTS, THAT IS FROM LEVEL 7 OR 8 UPWARDS, THEY WILL STRUGGLE BETWEEN 35% AND DOWNWARD...
SO AS YOU CAN SEE, THE ENTIRE EXERCISE IS ALL A MIRAGE BUT UNFORTUNATELY FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS MAKING IT LOOK LIKE, THE ENTIRELY AGREED MINIMUM WAGE IS WHAT TO BE ADDED TO EVERYONE SALARIES... I STAND TO BE CORRECTED ANYWAY
I have been seeing a series of arguments regarding this minimum wage of a thing and I hope to get an insight from experts on something confusing me.

Will there be an increase in the salary of people currently earning above minimum wage?

Eg you currently earn 300k and the minimum wage is increased to 100k from 30k (about a 70% increase). Does that mean the person earning 300k will also get a 70% increase to 510k?[/quote]

If FEDERAL GOVERNMENT had granted the #200k proposal, workers would have been happy...
But hitherto, nothing has happened... Another nation wide strike is imminent.

But one thing is sure, President Bola Tinubu still have lots of good plans for nigeria workers and every nigeria

Politics / Re: Different Between Minimum Wage And Living Wage by comradesunday(m): 7:34pm On Jul 21, 2023
THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS CLARIFICATION... IT MEANS A LOT AND GO A LONG WAY TO EXPOSE THE DIFFERENCES

Jnkay:
A living wage is not the same as the minimum wage, which is the legal minimum all employers must pay. The living wage sets a higher test. The minimum wage is the same across the province. Living wage reflects what people need to earn to cover the actual costs of living in their community.
The minimum wage is mandatory for many occupations. The living wage is a voluntary commitment of employers to go beyond the minimum standard and pay enough for employees to cover their expenses and participate in community.

The wicked president call Tinubu is not ready to pay any of these.

Tinubu is a game changer, Tinubu is a strategist but when is time for him to show Nigerians his skills ''Oti gba penalty wo throwing"
Politics / Different Between Minimum Wage And Living Wage by comradesunday(m): 7:10pm On Jul 21, 2023
Nigeria workers have experience successive minimum wage increase coming with constant reviews. The last review was from #18000 to #30000 yet the issue it was met to solve keep staggering.
However, of recent the incumbent Government of President Tinubu has come out to say enough is enough to Minimum Wage, Nigeria workers are now due for living wage.
My question now is... What are the advantages and disadvantages of minimum wage and living wage, respectively...

Meanwhile, this is an extract online definition of duo:

The living wage refers to the income level required to sustain a decent standard of living based on the family size and the location. On the other hand, the minimum wage refers to the income level authorized by the law that ensures that the employees are not pushed into poverty.

Politics / Profile Of Idris Gobir The Deputy Governor Elect Of Sokoto State by comradesunday(m): 8:13pm On Mar 23, 2023
His Excellency Idris is no doubt one of the finest and affable politician in Sokoto State. APC Party stakeholders were very much aware of his capacity, thus selected him based on his experience and political background.

Alhaji Idris Gobir “He is an accomplished administrator, he is currently the deputy governor elect of Sokoto State.

He began his service career as a school teacher, before venturing into other public service sectors,” “This includes maritime and petroleum industries, where he served with the Nigeria Ports Authority and the Department of Petroleum Resources.”

In politics, Mr Gobir was a one-time commissioner for budget and economic planning and also served as sole administrator of Sabon Birni local government council of Sokoto state. He succeeded as two times best local government chairman of Nigeria during tenure of the former president, Good luck Jonathan.

The 47-year-old, who is an alumnus of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria also has five master’s degrees in various disciplines of human management and development, including computer software management, as well as Master of international affairs and diplomacy and master in peace and conflict management respectively.

Finally, he is accomodating and home base politician. During the disturbing frequent bandit attack, he handled the problem locally by providing local solutions that helped in defeating banditary to the barest minimum in the state

Politics / Re: What Died In APC by comradesunday(m): 11:11pm On Feb 19, 2023
comradesunday:
WHAT DIED IN APC

APC is an acronym for the term "ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS"
APC is not yet a dead political party but one obviously on its way if understanding is not met.

What died in APC is a phrase which is gear to unravel the rational behind the incessant cum current conundrum consuming the giant Nigeria political party

To be direct and comparatively factual. The formation of APC is more or less a similitude of the formation process of Nigeria.

The country called Nigeria was a false and forceful conglomeration of regions which its aim was just for the immediate satisfy of the piloting elites who exert hegemony in their various political hemisphere.

The interest of the various actors involved in the amalgamation was pursued with poor consultation because of their selfish interest. And the result, is what we are all suffering today.

Nigeria is in guise of pretentious compatriots,
Bogus unity,
Selfish interest driven elites,
And weaken assemblage of masses who compromises the pursuit of their right for petty gifts, poverty and molestations.

In the case of APC - a true definition of the processes that brought about the amalgamation of Nigeria is actually a better definition of the processes of the formation cum reasons for the happening in ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS

WHAT ACTUALLY DIED IN APC IS; TRUTH, UNITY, FAULTY FOUNDATION, UNHARMONIZED INTERESTS AND POOR CONSULTATION PRIOR HER FORMATION

A critical examination of this factors will leave you with no reason to doubt the happenings in Nigeria and happenings in APC.

In 1959 there was a rush to grab the country from the dominance of the imperialist and basically not for the general interest of the Nigeria people but for the few.

And in 2015 the same thing played out.
There was also rush to oust the government on board and not mainly for the general interest of Nigerians but the few.

Thus, in achieving this impromptu formation, some members with good mind for the country, however, blindfolded with the external priestly behaviour of the foe of Nigeria trajectory the same path, without listening to their intuition to filter the intentions of their colleagues, hence formed a coalition party (APC), to control the decisions and apparatus of the state

They eventually succeeded going by the electioneering contest and coupled with Nigerians hunger for change.

But ever since their historic victory in 2015, the party organizational stability, regard for egalitarianism, respect for ranks, recognition and following of democratic principles and the place of the law had been totally neglected and make mockery of.

No wonder the saying: AS YOU LAY YOUR BED, SO YOU LIE ON IT.
If you built on sand the rain will definitely come and destroy it but if you build on rock, the foundation would certainly be insurmountable...
There's therefore no much differences between the issues in Nigeria as an entity and the problems in APC as an organization

However, immediately after the victory of 2015, the true revelation of the party members unharmonious interest began to surface.

According to an online publication by Isa Ishag Ojibara (May 2017).
"Given the process through which the APC emerged, not many believed the party would pull through to victory in 2015; hence the lack of policy cohesion between the executive and legislature is not surprising. The internal intrigues, differences and rancour that characterized the emergence of principal leadership of the Senate and House of Representatives planted the first seed of confrontation between the party, executive and the legislature."

The emergence of Senator Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara as the senate president and speaker house of representative respectively defeated the party backed candidates; Ahmed Lawan and Femi Gbajabimila from Lagos State.

The emergence of Ike Ekeremadu, PDP Enugu state as Deputy Senate President in APC majority senate was a major blow to the party and laid the foundation for a hostile and confrontational relationship between the presidency and the National Assembly (Is a Ishaq, 2017).

And subsequently, this distrust continued. Unity was politically represented and pretentiously defended by the members in public but within, it had never existed. At a time, it was rumoured that APC was divided into three circles.

Those loyal to the president,
Those loyal to Tinubu and
Those loyal to Sarki

And all with diverse interest. Unfortunately, non of the group interest is close to redeeming of our great country but all for their personal aggrandisement.

Trimming words, just before the 2019 election, all the aggrieved sides who didn't bequeathed the party for another, decided to regroup again against the people Democratic party. Their voice became one and their interests were unified. But the power play didn't stop as their individualistic interest tend to be superior than another and even the nation.

The party national chairman Odigie oyegun who was apparently doing well before then, became irritating as his presence was perceived as no longer useful and convincing to the actualization of their interests.

Hence, the move to relinquish him of his power as the national chairman of the party.

The most interesting part of it all was that, the person rumored to have strategize for the removal of this great man who had worked assiduously to unseat the dominating party which ruled for almost two decades is a brother from the same state and ancestor.

The truth is that, I have never seen a northern politician in the same circle fighting another northerner to occupy the same position in the federal level. Their interest is regulated once it is their person in that position. But the south, the East and the westerners are victims of this foolish act. (Permit me to say that the northern politicians are truly more united)

In short for a northerner to take over the position occupied by a southerner, a fellow southerner must be use to achieve that.

Amechi vs Good luck Jonathan 2015,
Oshomhole vs Oyegun/2014 - 2015,
Amechi vs Ibe Kachukwu 2018,
The case of the former finance minister - kemi Adesun, and so many others instances.

WE NEED TO WAKE UP BEFORE OUR FOOLISHNESS CONSUME US

AND THEN, THE PLAN TO OUST ODIGIE WAS HATCHED AND CONSUMMATED. And a heavy weight politician the person of Adam oshiomhole was planted there. As a master strategist, he eventually had his way and APC returned back to power with the outcome of the 2019 election victory.

Adams oshiomhole being aware of the diverse interests of his party members fought from all sides... This eventually cost them zamfara, Rivers etc. He also fought Rochas Okorocha in what most people perceived as his hatred for godfatherism. But unfortunately today, he is the one playing the godfather.

APC as at today is becoming a lawless party with a lot of unprecedented political inventions. Just a night ago, with the suspension of Adams oshiomhole as the national chairman, within three hours, the country had witness three different persons claiming chairmanship and this will continue if they refuse to recognize the nation's interest to be more superior to theirs.

However, it is not yet late for the party to get it right. The following suggestions will go a long way:

1. The president should act to be seen and not always behind the scene: politically it is not absolutely possible to belong to everybody and not for any body. That is the highest political scam of the decade. The president by right is the leader of the party and his suggestions and wisdom will never be taken for granted. The more he keep mute because he has gotten his second term, the faster the party will go down the drain.

2. APC future should be re - dialogue or renegotiated: the primary aim for the formation of the party was to unseat the leading political party PDP. The future of the party was not considered. What they have done so far after their 2015 victory is just a pushing. Hence renegotiation is Paramount to truly ascertain those who are genuinely for the party and those who are not and also, for a clearer vision.

3. The various lies they told Nigerians which eventually brought them to power is not what Nigerians would like to continue hearing but a pose action towards the fulfilment of these manifestoes would go a long way to redeem the party's integrity. Among these promises were; true federalism,
improve power, job creation
and better security e.t.c.

4. The interests of the various parties that formed the mother party now (All Progressive Congress), should be cordially harmonize and not disregarded. It is actually on news, where Rocha's Okorocha was telling Oshiomhole that he - Rocha's singlehandedly gave the name ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS. this is supposedly not to be in the news if there is a stronger fraternity among them.

And finally, the leading political party should stop compromising the independent of the various institutions such as the judiciary, legislature and even the arm forces. The fact that you appointed the personnel and or you place them there, doesn't mean that the constitution of whom they swear an oath to pay allegiance too, should become a mockery of itself, while they are compel to always do your bidden only. APC is just one of the numerous political party in Nigeria. The fact that, you are leading today, doesn't mean you will remain forever. If another political party decides to take over and follow your precedent, will you be bold enough to fight it ?

NOTE: just like Nigeria Amalgamation, APC got it wrong from the very first beginning. Hence, the porousness and the various misbehaviors,
But if work upon can lighting up again the party, to become the good talk of the day by all Nigerians.
Thanks.

One would wondered if such preventable predicament can occur with the numbers of presence in that house and tight security. That also left us with the many questions of the place of CCTV CAMERA.

Does it mean there is no CCTV Camera covering every fabrics of that house? Besides, if at all, there is no manual success in achieving a speedy investigation, there should definitely be a secret camera somewhere covering the public environment.

The event didn't happen indoor, so the police should start investigation asap, making use of the CCTV Camera...

END-SARS PROTEST A MICROCOSM OF WHAT IS TO COME IF THE RULE OF LAW IS OPPOSE AGAIN IN THE FORTH COMING 2023 GENERAL ELECTION

NIGERIANS due to hardship have been programed to flourish either in war or in peace.
Our greatest fear was discovered during the endsars protests to be our greatest strength.

Prior the protests, our insensitive government and its benefactors regards NIGERIA YOUTH as a dog that can bark and not bite but immediately after the most passionate and outstanding protest, alot changed over night. Now, the government behold us not just as a dog that can bark and bite but largely also, as a LION THAT CAN ROAR AND DEVOUR.

Earlier before getting into the electioneering spirit fully, our government and its wickedly selfish elites who fail to recognize that change remain the only constant, was all over the news, feels no iota of threat, refused again to behold what is coming, but just a one time doing by our YOUTH took their mind aback, to the most unprecedented, dreaded contemporary protest known as the endsars protests.

Now, the forth coming 2023 General election has no third force, as the supposed third force has become a major force that the traditional forces are now pretentiously and quietly forming alliance to fight.

The endsars protest, as we mourn our brethren who sacrifice their lives for the survival, repositioning and awakening of good numbers of NIGERIANS out there, no doubt has reshaping our Political system and collective existence.

It has strengthened democracy the more and birthed the beginning of responsiveness and accountability among all NIGERIANS.

Blame game as it used to be, has reduced to the bare minimum. Citizens have now risen to know and realized that the NIGERIA of our dreams is not just the making of our leaders but the responsibility of everyone. And to achieve that, we must all in unison elect a responsible, a jingoist and patriotic nigerian whom his antecedent is justifiable capable to do the work.

The path we trajectory now, is a long walk to freedom and emancipation. Hence, all hands must be on deck...

In the spirit of this endsars anniversary, I wish to remind you all that it is a collective battle that must INVOLVE not just the youths but our mothers, our fathers and our children to take along with us, the greatest arsenal or weapon of nigeria democracy, that's our PVC to our respective polling units to cast our vote wisely.

At this junction, I want to boisterously speaks to whoever that is plotting and cooking shenanigans of all Political kind to desist. Because any attempt to oppose the rule of law again and or, surpress the will of the people, as it has been the status quo abinitio, will be met with a bigger recreation of endsars protest that will definitely degenerate into what the mouth can't possibly express all.

The youths are not smiling, nigerians are not happy, the dead are not resting in peace and even the living are not living in peace.

Wake up compatriots, put party differences aside, put political gains away, understand the complexity of religion and ethnicity, burry language differences and wear the clothes of NIGERIA UNITY

REMEMBER ALWAYS: THE LABOURS OUR HEROES PAST. Remember those who died innocently in the hands of Kidnappers and bandits. Remember those who were jailed wrongly and innocently by the instrument of the State. Remember those who don't eat but prays daily for things to fall in pleasant places for this our blessed country.
Don't forget: A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE

A facebook user by name KingDavid Ogbonannaya earlier today shared some pictures of how a man took his life by committing suicide.
In his words: what will wake up to see in abuja near dunamis church ooo

However, more details on what could lead to his death has not been posted as at the time of posting this News but people that commented under the post on facebook seems to know more about the exact location as one of them stated the exact near location the incident happened.

But if I May ask, what could make people give up their entire hope and believe that death is now the only way out?

Our government, the churches, mosques and even in our individual capacities need to do more to deprogram, reorient our friends, colleagues, relatives and acquaintance about the dangers associated to destiny and again, that, suicide is not a solution but an agent of more trouble.

May we not see what will ever make us contemplate suicide AMEN.

TIME HAD MADE THE QUEEN INNOCENT OF YOUR BLAMES AND ACCUSATIONS

You just want to critic otherwise, lots of other colonized countries in other continent have moved on. There are level you can blame someone and it becomes an embarrassment to oneself.

Britain has never denied thier role played in Africa and overtime have been working assiduously to erase this stigma even though it will end up impossible.

But don’t forget, while their colonial incursion in africa were unwelcoming, note it wasn’t absolutely a fiasco and total detriment to the economy and Political emancipation of africa continent if not for the bad LEADERS and greedy elites that had usurped what is meant for the general good for the few…

No doubt there were bad side and again there were/are lot of good side… Like this very awareness and consciousness of their misdeed that you now have, why not take advantage of it and build to colonize them back or liberate the world or african countries from related issue.

Colonial masters bequeathed most countries in africa more than 40 years ago yet the only infrastructure and structure you can celebrate in most african continent is the ones put in place during the colonial rule. Truth be told, we are more of our problem than the colonial masters.

Let stop the blame game and start taking responsibility.
when they were leaving these countries, they didn’t totally exhaust the resources or desert all the hardworking, intelligent and talented people in the countries they administered, they also left behind enough resources to recover and get African countries stronger, yet we have abuse these opportunities and continued crying foul.

Asian countries have similar issue but behold India today, U.S held them in high esteem because of how far they have gone and build in the global space.

what is africa excuse? nothing, not even colonialism of many years ago. The queen is a great woman, a strong woman but hear this, she is not half the strength of most men and women in Africa but corruption, greed, wickedness, power desperation, hegemony etcetera have blinded our conscience to think aright and work aright.

Not until the people wake up and take responsibilities of their shortcomings and take steps to retrace, rewrite and addressed the much self fabricated, created and developed economy, cultural cum Political affliction, most african countries will go no near industrialization and globalization.

Currently, there is a wave of realization, awakening, and emancipation going on in Nigeria with the unprecedented PARTICIPATION of Nigeria youths in Politics… I advised my fellow african brothers and sisters to rise up against stereotype primitive Politics and follow the current lead of most Nigeria YOUTH and good numbers of NIGERIA People
