PoliticsRe: Academic Documents Written By Goodluck Jonathan In 1985, At UniPort by Comsol: 2:22am On Dec 23, 2014
shiftmarket:
WRT coloured, the lowest ranked person among the authors is usually the main contributors, the others are usually reviewers who the lowest ranked person needs for the paper to easily fly or get published, just like upcoming musicians use already made stars to lunch their careers.
I'm not disputing that fact. Normally as a researcher who wants to rise or make a stand in ones chosen field or even get your paper published, you'll want to identify with experts in the field. These experts will be the other authors. As being part of the academics, I see this as politics to be honest.

The reason for this is simple. presence of these reviewers on the article makes other reviews to give some positive reviews of the article so as to get same when their candidates send in papers later on in the future. Though the presence of these reviewers in most cases gives such a paper credibility.

It is encouraging that you took up the challenge to show us any of GEJ's thesis or publication, the problem is that the said paper is neither a thesis or a publication. It was appropriately labeled Conference or workshop item. It was a joint paper presented at a workshop. It would be very difficult to determine jonathan's contributions.

Meanwhile please help clarify these discrepancies in Jonathan's academic records;

He obtained his M.sc at the University of Port Harcourt in 1985 and he was a Lecturer at the Dept. Of Biology, Rivers State College of Education, Port Harcourt from 1983 – 1993. How did that work? he was lecturing at one university while studying to obtain an M.sc in another university.
FYI, conference paper is also a publication. At the moment, I'm working on a paper to be presented in a conference come next year which will also be published on a top professional organization journal.
Also, in any publication, the first author is usually the main contributor or owner of that publication just like in this case.

On your second question, that is very possible. I remember my lecturer then who was running his PhD in a different school. Meanwhile if you check the number 7 reference on that publication you'll notice that he actually completed his MSc in 1984.
PoliticsRe: Solidarity Campaign For Buhari by Comsol: 2:53pm On Dec 22, 2014
Stop this solidarity nonsense! This is the exact reason why the country is not progressing because we elect leaders based on sentiment and not on credibility. You guys stupidity and level of ignorance that is second to none never cease to amaze me always.

Well for now, I'm still trying to figure out how Nigeria can come out of these mess based on the these two presidential candidates(GEJ and GMB).

2011 with Pastor Bakare = failed
2015 with Pastor Osibanjo = likely fail
2019 with Pastor ''Olubunmi Adebayo''?? =??

If anything, these choices have confirmed Yorubas to be the ''master pastors'' of Nigeria. Virtually every Yoruba Christian is a pastor.

I go die oh!!! grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
How about this one OP?

2011... Buhari & Pastor Tunde Bakare = Failed
2015... Buhari & Prof Pastor Osinbajo = Possibly fail
2019.... Buhari & Cardinal Okogie =50:50
2023.... Buhari & Bible =Pass

This is exactly my point, these guys aren't salable. Just the correct spelling of his name is a nightmare.

He's virtually unknown, no tract record politically. tbh I think APC with these choice is poised and destined to fail, no pun intended.

To be honest, with this choice APC just lost it. BRF or Oshiomole would have been a formidable candidate. It is no brainer to know that a seating governor would have been a nightmare for the PDP and would be able to pull more votes than this Osinbajo selection especially from the SW.

2015 election would be an easy ride for PDP since these are the best (GMB & Osinbajo) APC could offer.

Thats why I had already edited my post and resubmitted before yours.
The fact that I quoted your original post implied that I submitted before you. Anyway that aside, your reason of standing with GMB is alarming. I thought he has a strong propositions and strategy in moving this great nation forward and that is why you're standing by him.

All those atrocities, murders and disrespect to human right that Prof stated will continue to hunt him... He's not fit to lead us.
PoliticsRe: BUHARI Is A Terrorist And BOKOHARAM Sympathizer by Comsol:
Op this gist is stale, it's a known fact. He can't win as far as Nigeria is concern, despite all his atrocities and murder of innocent citizens when he was the head of state he still have the guts to come rule again. We're are wise now.

All these e-tauts are just wasting their energy instead of them to be developing themselves by engaging in something meaningful to became better people to their families, societies and to Nigeria at large they are here spewing rubbish.

Prof Wole Soyinka in his classic article summed it all "It is astonishing to find that the same former slaves, now free of their chains, should clamour to be ruled by one who not only turned their nation into a slave plantation, but forbade them any discussion of their condition"

PoliticsMy Take On General Muhammadu Buhari's Speech At The Apc's Convention by Comsol(op): 11:02am On Dec 12, 2014

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rosamsUvZlQ

I have listen to many bad speeches in my life time from people but this one eat the biscuit to say the very least. This is an embarrassing speech, couldn't even read a speech fluently and eloquently that was obviously written for him. I used to think that GEJ is bad in speeches but this is worse. I know some folks will argue that the speeches do not necessary breed great leaders but based on the delivery and body language of this speech I would say Buhari lacks confidence, ideas, charisma, economic sense and above all he lacks leadership.

Nigeria deserves better than this, after all the noise on social media about how great a speech that was and some quotes, I thought I should listen to what he has to say and get a feel of how great the speech was but lo and behold I was wrong with this speech. Like this is not enough, I tried listened to the recent interview of this guy on Channels TV, his incoherent analysis on issues and coming to terms with reality was mind-boggling.

Beyond sentiment and bigotry, Buhari is not fit to rule Nigeria in this 21st century. With the fast pace of things in this get age, we need leaders that can think on their feet within split seconds and make strong and robust economic decision. I'm really disappointed 'abi we de live life de go back ni?'
