You are the idiöt here, the title said ''Buhari speaks on economy'' not about some imaginary currency trash.
After securing the currency from fraudsters, did the value of the naira increase or decrease? What exactly is the moral of that story?
This response is top class. She just exposed how slow her brain is just like that of Buhari.

I don't know what change APC represent that you're talking about. Or is it the Buhari that has not contributed anything meaningful to Nigeria ever since he left power apart from the controversial PTF he headed?
The way economies are so advanced now that your so called semi-literate can't put up with. Little wonder you hear him says he'll stabilize oil price.

How to Never Be Bored Again: 5 New Secrets From Research

What can we do to cure boredom?

The quickest and easiest way is to change your context.
If you’re alone, it’s pretty straightforward: get up, go out, see friends, put yourself in a new situation where you have less control over your environment and things will stimulate you.
But there are a lot of areas where boredom seems tougher to deal with: relationships, work, etc.

1.) Boring Relationship?
In the context of a relationship, stop thinking about you or your partner. Again, change your context. Don’t get dinner or drinks and talk. That relies on you two to be interesting. Go somewhere that’s already fun.
Doing thrilling stuff is the key to a fantastic first date. Roller coasters. Horror movies or suspense films.
And if you are just talking, stop playing it so safe. The best questions to ask on a first date are offbeat and fun. It’s better to talk about STD’s and abortions than the weather.

What kills most long-term relationships? A lack of excitement. The research points again and again to how important thrills are:

A.) What reignited passion in long term marriages? Doing exciting things together.
B.) Think a pleasant evening is all it takes? Researchers did a 10 week study comparing couples that engaged in “pleasant” activities vs “exciting” activities. Pleasant lost.
C.) What can improve the sex in a relationship? Try a roller coaster together. Anything that stimulates your central nervous system also gets you going sexually.
D.) Why would doing anything exciting have such a big effect on a relationship? Because we’re lousy about realizing where our feelings are coming from. Excitement from any source will be associated with the person you’re with, even if they’re not the cause of it.

2.) Bored At Work?
What about at work? Work can be boring and you can’t change the context as much. Very true and this is a serious issue: a boring job can kill you.
The key to fighting boredom at the office is not excitement, it’s finding meaning in what you do. Broadening the definition of what it is you are doing, seeing it as a mission or calling, and feeling you are making a difference can make you happier, more fulfilled and less bored.

What if YOU are boring?
What if you’re boring? People who bore others are often self-indulgent — they just talk about what interests them. We all fall prey to this on occasion.
The best lesson here is from Steven Pressfield’s advice on improving writing: keep in mind that nobody wants to read your stuff. So keep things simple and always have the audience in mind.

3.) What about chores that are undeniably boring?
If you have to do tasks that are boring and there’s no two ways about it, don’t take a break:
You may think that taking a break during an irritating or boring experience will be good for you, but a break actually decreases your ability to adapt, making the experience seem worse when you have to return to it. When cleaning your house or doing your taxes, the trick is to stick with it until you are done.

4.) What about when other people are boring you?
At least in some situations, don’t be afraid to let your mind wander. Especially on the phone, research shows that people actually like us better when we’re distracted: we’re less negative, less complex and more personal in our speech. We also encourage the other person to talk more.

Its baffling to me that the distinguished prof is saying they will encourage states to create 20,000 jobs, the same states we are trying to take away jobs in their hands. Imagine our over bloated civil service, imagine the amount of time spent in getting things dOne in government office now they want to double the problems.
Federal government under GEJ has that plan in YOUWIN, to create jobs. Do you know that so far 3900 people has been empowered through YOUWIN to create jobs. This programme is so unique it bypassed all huddles. No I.M. Everything is dependent on your ability to convince the panel on what you can do with 10 million naira. You see that's direct money to the entrepreneurs that need it. Not another money to state politicians that will never go straight to the hand of the right people.
onatisi:
Same old promises, same campaign tactics, same politicians. Nigerian politicians are simply clueless and devoid of any economic revitalization plan or agenda. Same old story. Smh

PoliticsRe: Tanimu Yakubu Kurfi To Head The Policy Directorate of GMB Campaign Organisation by Comsol: 5:06pm On Dec 23, 2014
gbolsng:
Reddit, this is half information, you should have pasted what the Cable said about Tanimu Yakubu. He is nothing more than a crook, dont know the kind of change APC intends to bring with this kind of people at the helm of affairs. Have pasted the rest of the information below

Tanimu Yakubu Kurfi.
Not much is known about Kurfi, who loves to stay out of the limelight and has been keeping a low profile since he left government in 2010. He studied economics at Wagner College, New York, US. Kurfi, who is from Katsina state just like Buhari and former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, became commissioner for finance when Yar’Adua was elected governor of Katsina in 1999. He was later appointed managing director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria by President Olusegun Obasanjo. When Yar’Adua was elected president in 2007, he appointed Kurfi deputy chief of staff and chief economic adviser. He was believed to be the most powerful political appointee in Yar’Adua’s government. Kurfi hardly spoke to the media or addressed allegations, some of which accused him of stalling the power projects initiated by Obasanjo because he wanted to bring in new contractors. He was also accused of stalling the $8.3 billion railway modernisation contract agreed with China Civil Engineering and Construction Company by Obasanjo in 2006, allegedly because he wanted to bring in his own contractors. The delay in renewing or renegotiating the oil mining licences of Shell and other IOCs in 2009 was also attributed to him, allegedly because he had found some Chinese partners who were offering Nigeria an advance payment of $60billion for the oil blocks. Kurfi never responded to any of these allegations. In his new book, “My Watch”, Obasanjo described Kurfi as a member of the Yar’Adua ‘cabal’ who wanted to settle personal scores with him. The former president wrote: “At first, it was the same men now in the corridors of power, like Tanimu Yakubu Kurfi and Baba Kingibe, who suddenly remembered ‘the evil’ I had done them in the past, which they wanted to avenge. For Tanimu, whom I appointed Managing Director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria on the recommendation of then Governor Umaru Yar’Adua, my offence was that I did not appoint him to run and handle the Yar’Adua Presidential Campaign and manage the campaign fund. From what I had seen of his performance at the Federal Mortgage Bank, I would not have made or allowed such an appointment.” Nasir el-Rufai, former minister and now APC governorship candidate in Kaduna state, commented sparsely on Kurfi in an essay titled “Yar’Adua: Great Expectation, Disappointing Outcome” which he wrote in May 2009 as part of his course requirements at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government where he did a master’s programme in public policy. He described Kurfi as one of the Katsina professionals who made money from the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) under Buhari. El-Rufai wrote: “A group of young professionals of Katsina State origin, who had made money from the Petroleum Special Trust Fund (PTF) program under the supervision of General Muhammadu Buhari, came to the rescue [to finance Yar’Adua’s governorship bid in 1999]. Their leader was Tanimu Yakubu, an Economics graduate of Wagner College, New York, and included Dr. Aminu Safana and Ibrahim Shema [current governor of Katsina]. Nura Khalil was part of the group but decamped to the APP. Other ‘businessmen’ like Dahiru Mangal and Ahmadi Kurfi (both alleged to be professional smugglers) contributed financially to the Yar’Adua for Governor Campaign in 1998-99.” Kurfi, whom many insiders expect to be Buhari’s key man if he is elected president, was nominated into the policy directorate by the former head of state, TheCable understands.

I'm only saying that he should details these plans. If APC win or lose, either way is a win win for Nigeria.

I have no grudge whatsoever with his great ideas.

omenka:
Oga, a conference paper isn't a "publication", it is what it is, a conference paper. One may chose to "publish" a conference paper thereby making it a publication or present a publication at a conference making it a conference paper as well. But as long as a paper is yet to "published" in perhaps a journal, newspaper, magazine, publisher, etc, it is not a publication!

There are some conferences with dedicated journals that publish some author's presentations but let us not speculate here, we don't know for sure if this was "published".

On the second part, yes, one can be running a PG program and at the same time working as a lecturer. He probably was a graduate assistant going by the cv.

Ps: I think there was a time we dealt exhaustively with this issue. A poster was. Able to avail us with three publications in which Jonathan was a co-author. Two of them were published while he was in Bayelsa government house and the other I'm not sure but I think not as a lecturer. He wasn't a corresponding author in any of them though and that brings to question the manner of contribution he made to the papers. I hear someone say "financial". smiley
I don't think your views are different from mine. I was only trying to enlightened the poster that a conference paper can be a publication most especially when the conference organizers have affiliation with top professional bodies that publish journals.

This is the problem with these politicians, they talk carelessly without making any sense.

You didn't state how you'll support every state to create those number of jobs. Also you didn't state how much stipend you'll pay to youth corps members and how this social program will be sustained.

You may be a seasoned lawyer but I'm afraid this response shows your lack of basic economics sense.
