Following the incident that happened in Aso Rock between the Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A. Adamu and the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari on the arrest of the later's staffs by the IG of Police.

Aisha Buhari had earlier called on the IGP to release her assigned Staff who are still in the custody of the Police in order to avoid putting their lives in danger or exposure to Covid-19 while in their custody.

"The Presidency wishes to acknowledge concerns expressed by several members of the public regarding the recent incident among the occupants of the State House which escalation led to the arrest of some staff by the police.

For all three children of Mr Tunde Emmanuel and his wife, Christianah, the sun set in a very horrific manner just three days into the new year on Friday.

To say it was a tale of misfortune for the Emmanuel family who had looked forward to having a glorious year with their children would be stating the obvious as residents of the Ehin Grammar area of Molete, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, will continue to remember January 3, 2020 as a day of horror.

A midnight fire which was said to have been triggered by a surge in one of the rooms in the house claimed the lives of the three children, Glory, 13; Samuel, eight and Darasimi, three, leaving in its wake not just death and destruction of properties but also anguish, despair and unanswered questions on how and why it happened.

None of the occupants of the house had an inkling of what was to come even as it was gathered that the children were full of life until the incident that would snuff life out of them descended on their home.

Death came around 1.00 a.m. and there was nobody to rescue the innocent children as they got burnt inside their two-room apartment which was locked from outside.

The shout of “Help! Help!! Help!!! we are dying!” from the room where the children were occupying unsettled many residents, particularly their neighbours who, at that time, were also battling to save their own lives.

“Call our daddy, please call our mummy, we can’t come out of the room,” one of the neighbours who spoke with Saturday Tribune quoted one of the children to have screamed while the raging fire was encircling them.

From the bus stop leading to the house, one could feel the anger which pervaded the atmosphere as people ascribed the calamitous loss of the children to the alleged negligence and possible waywardness of their parents.

The crowd proved tough to penetrate as sympathisers and onlookers who gathered at the scene of the incident were still in shock at how the promising future of three kids perished in the fire.

Olarenwaju, popularly known as Bobrisky, is an internet personality and cross dresser who is well known on Snapchat and often referred to as male Barbie doll, for being highly controversial on social media. In the movie, which was produced by Nollywood Namaste Production company and directed by Ken Steve Anuka, Bobrisky played the role of a transgender woman named Cherechi. Cherechi left the country as a man only to return to his village as a woman to the ire of his family members. Massive Outrage As Shari’ah Court Orders 3 Rapists To Pay N7000 Fine In Kaduna
There have been a massive outrage on social media after a controversial decision of a Shari’ah court in Kaduna, sentenced three rapists to one year imprisonment with an option of N7,000 fine.


Apart from the fact that the Judge’s decision has sparked outrage, it has also generated controversy and anxiety in the ancient city of Zaria, where the crime was reported to have been perpetuated.


According to CoNaija, The judge of the court, Malam Iliyasu Muhammad Umar, during the ruling said the prosecution led by Sergeant Adamu Yahaya, convinced the court, therefore the three suspects will serve one year jail term or pay N7,000 fine with 20 strokes of the cane, Daily Trust reports.

Kaduna government imposes 24-hour curfew in Kajuru. According to investigation, the three men, Hassan Suleiman, Ibrahim Usman and Adamu Audu, lured their victims aged 9 and 10 while on the way to school.

While Hassan Suleiman and Ibrahim Usman used to intercept the 9-year-old girl on her way to school and rape her. Adamu Audu’s victim is the 10-year-old girl.

Many residents of Zaria and human rights activists have condemned the verdict of the judge, especially that he did not support his decision with any provision of Islamic jurisprudence, as Shari’ah is the status of the court.

While in skincare, toning is done to keep skin looking its best, a more extreme approach is bleaching which is frowned upon! But both are usually confused for each other.

Toning is essentially in place to even out skintone. It's also a step in skincare to keep the skin tight and while bleaching is a totally different 'ball game', sometimes the skin needs to be catered too.

A lot of people will argue that they tone to fade discoloration and correct hyper-pigmentation and it might just be what they need for skin to come alive but around here, a lot of people hear the word 'TONE' and they go off seeing it as skin bleaching which a lot totally loathe!

These quick pointers will get you started on these confused terms used in skincare:

Toning involves using toners, washers, lotions and even serums to cleanse the skin. They also help shrink pores. In some cases people tone (some based on dermatologist's prescription) to even out uneven skintone, correct dark spots, discolorations and so on.

Toning should actually be seen as part of a skin cleansing process because it benefits the skin, gets rid of dead skin cells and reveals a newer, clearer, cleaner and fresher skin. It automatically brightens dull skin as well.

Skin bleaching however involves using chemicals to lighten/whiten the skin. Skin bleaching products which comes as cream, soap, washes and more usually contain harsh and toxic chemicals that strips the skin, disrupts melanin production amongst others.

With skin bleaching as well, this can be prescribed on persons with stubborn discoloration and hyper pigmentation but it comes with a lot of side effects largely skin cancer when not done by experts.

Skin bleaching is frowned upon as it's become increasingly popular in recent times (with glutathione leading the course) and comes with grave reactions. A common ingredient for bleaching is Mercury which comes with poisoning, skin thinning, premature skin aging, even worse acne reactions and more when overused!

When it comes to toning/bleaching due to skin problems, a dermatologist should be consulted if there's a need to.
