There is a man that claims he owns the airport since 2014, he arrested some house owners in some estates near the airport. They took him to court and won him and court set aside his judgement.

Today in 2020 he came out of nowhere with thugs, some mopol guiding him and some started pushing down airport fence (no longer estates because they have won him in court). The Airforce personal on ground tackled the thugs but were overpowered before they called more men for backup.

Police and Airforce faced each other when the man saw he was overpowered he took his men and disappeared, leaving the machine. CP, AC, Airforce Commander all came. The governor came in the evening and said the man must be fetched by all means to pay for damages done to airport fence.

The man is from Aguleri in Anambra and his village are known for war with Umuleri since 1980s over land.
