Cadbury Bournvita, Nigeria’s leading cocoa beverage firm has re-launched its household brand

Bournvita at an event that witnessed the unveil of a giant inflatable replica of the new Bournvita jar.

The 30M high and 31.5M circumference inflatable jar was unveiled on Tuesday the 12th April 2016 at Cadbury Nigeria Headquarters in Alausa-Ikeja, Lagos, during the launch of its revolutionary new Bournvita pack which has been infused with more vitamins, minerals, cocoa and milk to make it more chocolaty and creamy, in line with consumer’s preferences, with the aim of providing the best in nutrition and vitality to develop both the mind and body.

Wife of the Lagos State Governor, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode was present at the unveiling of the giant inflatable jar and new Bournvita pack. The event also had in attendance the Director General NAFDAC, Mrs. Yetunde Oni; the President Nutrition Society of Nigeria, Prof. Ngozi Nnnam; and the Director-General Consumer Protection Council, Mrs. Dupe Atoki.

Mrs. Bolanle Ambode lauded the contribution and sustainability of the brand, Bournvita.

MTN Nigeria, Africa’s leading ICT Company, recently launched a partnership with CNN, another world leader in news and information delivery, to shed more light on what the telecommunications giant through its MTN Business platform does to inspire business growth in the continent. To launch the partnership, MTN, in conjunction with CNN, will be hosting a forum with the theme: Inspiring Business Growth in Africa.

The special forum will feature seasoned panelists and discussants such as: Political Economy and Management Expert Pat Utomi, MD of MTN Nigeria, Mike Ikpoki and Mteto Nyati, Group Chief Enterprise Officer for MTN.

Early in 2012 I met a lady through her elder brother who was an acquaintance. Then she was about 22 and awaiting admission for her HND programme. One thing led to the other and we became close. Around yuletide that same year, she asked me what I was going to get her for Christmas and I jokingly said nothing. She was so mad at me and insulted the senses out of my life that day before leaving my house. Honestly, I didn't mean what I said to her that day and to prove a point, the following weekend I went down to Balogun Market and got her a very nice designer shirt and some expensive earrings to match. I did this because I felt she will get over her anger, come back to see me and then I will present her the gift as a surprise. But alas, she never came back and I didn't bother calling her to find out why. My mum tried to intervene, but she still didn't bulge. Earlier this year, I lost my dad and my mum called her to inform her. This babe never bothered calling me or condoling with me in any way. Two days ago, I was in the house with my mum when someone called her on phone and I had to excuse her. Later my mom told me that it was my ex that called and she said she will be coming to see her and possibly me after storming away in anger two years ago. I have no issue that she is coming to see my mom, but as regard myself, I have since moved on though I can't help but wonder how myopic some ladies can be whenever I recollect the incident. Now the question is, does this girl think I still want her back after leaving me for such silly reason? Or why does she want to come and see my mum after all these while?

Former Enugu Chief of Staff, Government House Enugu State Mrs. Ifeoma Nwobodo, yesterday, said that she was not arrested by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission, ICPC, or any other security agency contrary to news reports.

“I was not arrested by ICPC or any other security agency. I was surprised with the publication of such news,” Nwobodo said on the telephone.

D’banj’s younger brother takes a swipe at blogger for allegedly reporting false news.

Following exclusive reports on Linda Ikeji’s Blog , yesterday that Meena Subrasimi, Kayswitch‘s Liberian babymama was bounced from the house the artiste was staying, the For Example crooner has taken a hit at the blogger stating that she is only out to destroy his reputation.

Kayswitch, in a chat with YNaija! stated that:

“All is well between me and Meena. First of all, that is not my house…two, I really don’t know what Meena went looking for but she wasn’t looking for me. I still posted of photo of them – Meena and my baby – on my Instagram page a few days back, they mean the world to me, all is well between us, i guess Linda is just looking traffic. Anaconda rapper, Nicki Minaj, has rubbished reports that she slept with her superstar colleagues, Drake and Lil Wayne.

According to a report on Pulse.ng, the aggrieved wife is believed to be still married to Flakky Ididowo’s husband, Femi Anibaba, and even has three children for him.

The woman further revealed that the reason Flakky kept her marriage secret was because she is aware that she was exchanging marital vows with a married man.

After news of her engagement broke out weeks back, Ronke Odusanya, a.k.a Flakky Ididowo has gotten married secretly to her US-based lover, Femi Anibaba.

According to a report on StellaDimokoKorkus.com, the couple got married in a private wedding ceremony that had close friends and family in attendance.

Ronke Ondusanya’s husband, Femi Anibaba, is said to be in his late ’30s, and is based in Illinois, Chicago.

The newly-wedded couple was said to have met through a mutual friend of the actress Liz Da Silva, and started their road to matrimony in earnest when Femi proposed to the actress with a $8,000 engagement ring in June this year.

It was an awkward day for Waje on September 30 as her wig chose the most unusual location to embarrassed her.

Talking about having a bad hair day. Well, singer, Waje, had her own share when her wig decided to let her down and fall off right on stage while she was performing at The Beat FM Triple 9 Concert.

Ghanaian-born actress Juliet Ibrahim lets us in on the circumstances that crashed her marriage.

The beautiful thespian in an interview with Ladybrille.com attributed her failed marriage to getting married early, family pressure and lies by enemies who did not want the union to see the light of day.

Juliet Ibrahim got married to her now divorced husband when she was only twenty-four years of age, but blamed her in-laws for poisoning her ex-husband’s mind, and using her profession as an actress against her.

According to her:

“My personal failure will be my marriage because I am divorced now… I got married at age 24. We were happy, young people in love but we really didn’t get a chance to really know ourselves. . . somewhere along the line, family members kept coming in saying “oh no, she’s an actress” I will be there and people will be saying all kinds of stuff and sending him messages saying I am in another man’s car even though I was right there with him.”

The actress has since dropped her ex-husband’s surname, Safo, from her names.

Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has reportedly fled the country to evade arrest by the EFCC.

Sources said that actress sneaked out to the United States of America to hide from the shame that has been brought on her head as a result of her husband’s involvement in some fraudulent case.

It will be recalled that the actress dumped her first husband in controversial circumstances to marry her present husband, Alhaji Atanda Orilowo after the former helped her secured US citizenship.

Alhaji Atanda Orilowo was indicted and declared wanted by the EFCC some months ago over some alleged 419 activities against a telecommunication giant in the country, but before the long arm of the law could catch up with him, the sharp guy took to his heels and has since been in hiding.

That action forced the agency to clamp down on his properties including Laide’s boutiques which they believe was set up for her by her husband from the proceeds of the crime.

This is not the first time Laide Bakare has been involved in a high level scandal. About a year ago her ex-husband cried foul, claiming that the pregnancy she was carrying at the time belonged to him but Laide had discountenanced him, saying that though she was still married to the man, she was actually carrying Orilowo’s baby.
