I’d also like to switch to the GTV too. I have 13+ years experience in product marketing. Let’s explore this together please.

brotherfranklyn:
@gergemam and anyone who is eligible or applying for the global talent visa (digital economy). Shall we indicate and purse this course together?

I am a devops engineer in the UK, currently on psw visa but will like to switch to the GTV.

Let's win together.

I did not do a return label for my BRP card yet I got it 4 days after receiving my provisional driver’s license. So I doubt if it’s about that.

Wking:
My People, I applied for a provisional license, but failed to do a return label for my brp card It has been over three months, and I have not received my Brp card. I am considering applying for a new one, and I've paid £19 for a standard application and I was directed to a new third-party link that is requesting £245 to book an appointment. This seems like a rip-off, and I'm feeling frustrated. Can anyone provide guidance on this process?

everything is also looking like i am applying for a fresh Visa. cry cry cry

Rest bro!

Even the British (100% white Caucasians) do this Care work for years, make careers outta it and retire in it. So who are you?

You don’t pay anyone’s bill. You have no right to look down on their hustle as long as it is not illegal.

Should be your starting point and not the destination ...and upskilling for better jobs remains the point

Hi everyone

Please I need your help in filling this questionnaire:

It would take less than 5 minutes of your time.

Thanks in advance for your efforts.

God bless you, poster.

Too many self-righteous people on this thread. So quick to judge and condemn.

The affected poster can walk into other care homes like you rightly said and look for work. Thank God the 20 hours restriction for caregivers to work with other carehomes aside their primary sponsors have been temporarily lifted.

He will find help and favour in Jesus name.

kwakudtraveller:

I think the problem here is a lot of people lack empathy, granted there’s some lesson to be learnt from this but knocking someone when they are already down and still making a case for their comment is beyond me. If the person brought only one month’s rent, shouldn’t it be obvious that that’s the only money the person has. My wife’s friend told her that her Nigerian classmate committed suicide recently in this same UK. Only God knows the struggle this guy must have been going through and the things that he heard.

On this Nairaland, the need to always be right dey off me, a lot of people have some self reflection to do because nobody knows it all .

Anyway, OP should just take an aggressive approach in his search, and walk into care homes and tell them he is looking for work and ask if they are hiring. May God see him through these difficult times. I go drop small prayer for am today.

You can get them on Amazon. Both new and used books.

rinzylee:
Good evening family!

How are we doing?

Please does anyone know any bookshop that majors in fairly new/ used Christian books in England, preferably East England or London? I want to build my Spiritual library again here without going the way of amazon.

I know in Naija, we usually see these books displayed on the floor at popular junctions and sell cheap too.

Biko help my life and my ministry.

All I can read here is a bit of ITK.

This dude is not relying on you for finances neither is he soliciting your financial support.

The real question is begging to be answered.

If you don’t have a clue move on. Don’t project your false sympathy on others.

bigtt76:
Ok good. So being in the UK isn't all that needs to be considered here. Is the husband in a good employ?

1. I believe he's doing 20hrs currently but is it a steady shift that brings money to the table frequently or he's chasing after available shifts?

2. Can the wife work?

3. Who takes care of the 6 months old baby while the parents are working?

4. The older siblings that are teenagers, how old are they?

5. Being teenagers doesn't mean they can take care of the 6 months baby all by themselves 🤷🏿‍♀️

6. Accommodation nko? Has he secured a good accommodation cheap enough but adequate to cater for the children taking into consideration their gender?

These and many more questions may need to be addressed.

Easy man. He’s here already and six months into his program. The baby is around six months too and has older siblings who are already teenagers.

Regex:

Tell your friend to either come over first, settle down. I mean get a proper visa, not student visa. Then bring family, else it will be his suicide.

You guys should stop creating unnecessary harsle for yourself. Try to deh reason sometimes. How woman go work full time with pikin? Him weh be student can't do more than 20hrs. How una want take care of family? Na wa oh... No be by I go school oh, a lot of Nigerians are so ignorant in the things of life. Tueh!

Elders, I have a question.

My married friend on Tier 4 visa wants to bring in his dependants. As at the time of filing his application his wife was pregnant, so he listed the names of his wife and other children as his dependants.

Now the baby is here and he wants to bring them all in. How can he go about it considering the fact that the baby’s name was not listed in the initial dependants list he submitted to UKVI?

Thanks

Hello

I am interested. How do you refer me?

napoleonbaba:
Co-operative Bank is currently offering £125(plus £25 from me) for switching a bank account to them. It's a very handy £150 as the bank switch doesn't require any direct debit switch or deposit. It takes about 20 minutes to complete this offer. It's very easy and doesn't cost you a penny.
You need a Current Account with a CASS bank(Llodys, Barclays, HSBC, Monzo etc) and card details to switch. you also need to fill out a referral form to claim the offer. Send me a dm for the switch information and more offers

Carried meat (fried, smoked and dried), same for fish too. No one stopped or collected it from me.

A bit off topic, but guys I'll be traveling to the UK soon.
Wanna know which food items are banned or contraband over there...

Meat especially I hear is contraband, is Pomo regarded as contraband too?

Stay calm. Nothing to worry about.

Zero0005:
Hello Everyone.

Good Afternoon.

Pls i am worried. I applied for my uk student visa on April 19th. I decided to go to tls connect in abuja as an agent adviced they have a high chance of granting my visa if i apply in abuja than lagos.

I got a non straighforward email on the 13th of May, asking for evidence of what i have been doing since i left school in 2015 i.e additional work and further schooling documents.

I submited my previous and current work appointment letters, and reference letters, on the same day, i.e 13th May.

But i still havnt gotten any email yet.

Are there ppl in this same situation? and is this normal? Should i have gotten a response yet? How long does non straight forward mails last before getting a response.

Pls, iv read so much material on this platform, but this is my first ever post. I need help and advice.

Thanks.

Hello. Please when filling the UK visa application, what address can one put in? I don't intend staying in the university's student apartment and I don't have the address of anyone to stay with in the UK. Can't book hotel or Airbnb because they are all requesting for card details.

Yeah, status changed but I didn't get any email to that effect. I knew by logging into the dashboard.

peterinahG:

Thanks
Please did your status change during your waiting period?
Like from ADB Reviewer ----> ADB Supervisor ----> ADB Disbursement Reviewer...... ?

Is there any other stage after this? If yes, did yours change according and did you get email notifications for any change?

Rate is not static. However the naira is gaining against other major currencies. So expect to be debited between 533 to 550 per GBP

peterinahG:

Geezzzzzz!!! This is mad........
I'm already crying. Mine is 9 days today. It was approved a day after I submitted the application and the status changed to ADB Disbursement Reviewer. The charges were debited after 3 days and I was even happy that the tuition will be debited soon. Didn't know I was in for a long thing.

Please give me small hope biko......

Please at what rate?
Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by ConnectMee: 10:33pm On Apr 28, 2022
Yes. It took 4 weeks and some days.

peterinahG:

Please have you finally been debited? If yes, how long did it take?
