proeast: It's already an open secret known to any discerning observer since.
SW gets chairman in the person of Oyinlola. NE gets president in Atiku. SE gets vice president in Obi.
However, they shot themselves at the foot by taking the presidency to North when there is a national sentiment for it to return South.
APC will give their ticket to GEJ and team him with a popular Northerner as Vice. GEJ will win SS, make a good showing in SE, win SW, and split North with Atiku.
Except APC picks a weak candidate like Osinbajo they are most likely to win. APC has zoned the presidency to the North East (Kanuri ethnic group) |

Though I am not particular about election, but this changing of the goal post at the middle of the game is detestable.

Lubumbashi: The north should contain their greed for power. They are about rounding off an 8 year hold of the mantle in which they monopolized appointments in their favour and yet they are not satisfied. If they really need another 8 years immediately, then they should divide the country so that they can rule themselves perpetually because if they break the north-south shift of power in 2023, then they must be prepared to battle secession on two fronts ie southeast and southwest and a possible resurgence of disturbances in the Niger delta, plus the ravaging insurgency and banditry in the north that they could not put a stop to despite holding power uninterrupted since 2015. Are the secessionists storing enough weapons to help them achieve their dreams. Without weapons, the secessionists uprising will end up like another EndSARS |

Yorubas must ask themselves certain questions in order not to allow the ambition of 2 men to ruin their destiny whether under Nigeria or Oduduwa Republic.
Tinubu/Osibanjo presidential ambition, is it more profitable to the Yoruba nation when compared to a Restructured Nigeria.?
If Obasanjo presidency failed to achieve a Restructured Nigeria, what is the guarantee that a Tinubu/Osibanjo presidency will achieve a Restructured Nigeria.?
If Nigeria is not restructured, how will Yorubas be able to use their hard earned sweat eg Tax, diaspora remittances, etc to develop Yoruba land thereby reducing unemployment and crimes.?
How can Yorubas achieve a Restructured Nigeria if the South is divided as a result of political selfishness played by Tinubu/Osibanjo.?
For Nigeria to become as developed as the United States and Europe, the South must be united in order to champion progressive policies like fiscal federalism, state police, etc.
Southern Unity can not be achieved if the Yorubas fall for Tinubu/Osibanjo selfish political ambition.
Remember that in the days of Herbert Macaulay(A Yoruba), the south was united which made it easy to achieve Nigeria's independence without war like that of Algeria, US, etc but the unity was destroyed by Awolowo's ethnic politics which ended up leading to a ruined Nigeria under the supervision of Fulani hegemony whose leaders opposed Nigeria's independence.
[Epilogue:]
Yorubas, don't oppose an Igbo presidency for the sake of Southern Unity.
Just as the Igbos won over the Southern minorities by voting for Jonathan in 2015 which today has solidify the political unity of SS and SE, I will advice you Yorubas to win over the remaining south by supporting an Igbo presidency.
An Igbo presidency will unite the South which is the first step amongst other steps to a New Nigeria favorable to all including the Fulanis

Norwichsailor: You were making sense till your last paragraph Only a southern president can carry out restructuring and all that, abi you expect buhari or atiku or tambuwal to do it? The reason they don't want tinubu to take over is because they know he is powerful enough to do away with them once he gets power, they need someone they can manipulate like Jonathan, uzondinma and the other buffoons. For me be it tinubu or wike or obi, a southerner must rule irrespective of party lines. For the igbos it's funny, why not get pdp ticket and yoruba get apc ticket and lets see who is stronger? Smh I'm from Akwa-ibom btw and I'm sure most SOUTH southners will agree 2023 is for the south regardless of which part. Any cockroach can claim to be an Akwa Ibomite Everyone in Akwa Ibom knows that an Igbo presidency is much more closer to Akwa Ibom than a Yoruba presidency. Anyway continue claiming what you are not |

proeast: I quite agree with you on certain points and also disagree with you on others.
Yes, you're right that once a local militia is formed, it becomes difficult to reign them in eventually. Also, it would even become more difficult to control once they go out of control. However, such scenario can only materialize in the North but certainly notes East and I will explain to you.
Firstly, I don't know who the UGM are or those sponsoring them. However, one thing is discernable they're enjoying the support of locals. The UGM are apparently smart enough to know that they will all be smoked out like rats once the locals are against them. The government of the day also understand this fact and that is why they're using all means to make the locals to condemn them, including causing innocent deaths and destruction and trying to pull wool over the people's eyes by claiming they were done by UGM.
This battle is now ideological based, and whoever the people sides with will win in the long run. Some clips we have seen online often show the UGM applying discretion in ensuring there is no civilian casualty but the opposite is the case whenever law enforcement agencies arrive, they will throw caution to the wind; shooting sporadically, arresting passersby and causing havoc. Have you wondered why UGM will be around and people will be going about their duties but each time law enforcement agencies arrive, everyone will be running helter skelter?
Instead of attacking innocent people and destroying things, the government and its agencies should look into the grievances of the people. Stop every form of police extortion and if they must be on the road, let it be strictly professional search and rescue work. Let the people know and feel that government is out to protect their interest and not to subjugate them. Once that is done, the UGM will have no loophole to manipulate. The people will have no incentive to support them in anyway and they will naturally fizzle out or risk being smoked out with ease.
I can tell you that these UGM, no matter who their sponsors are or what their ultimate mission is, they will never go all out to attack people. People naively try to draw parallel with Boko Haram and I laugh because the settings are polls apart. Boko Haram is feeding off from extreme religious fanaticism, widespread ignorance, mass Illiteracy and poverty. These factors are not present in the East, so it will be much easier to stop if the people believe there is need. The person whom you are trying to explain to, those the aturu Kenya wants to understand. |

I suggest if ipob esn doesn't have what it takes to defend the east from future military invasion by now they should be disbanded...
Esn by now should have at least 30 to 50 land to surface missiles in each state incase of any possible invasion, and also RPG launchers against any armoured tanks...
Because surely the Nigeria military will invade the east, the will pretend to be looking for esn or unknown gun men..... whether you are pro Biafra or against Biafra and you stay in the east just brace up..
