owobloww: This is a 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid edition with back windscreen to be replaced and front bumper to be set. Who ever buys will have to pay for the duty for it is at the port presently. Cash urgently need for something else. A normal foreign Used in the market goes for about 3m naira plus. This is a very good deal
Gazzuzz go and sit down. You guys should stop making mountains out of a mole hill.
This is no big deal. In every business there's always bound to be dissatisfied customers, it doesn't matter how hard you try, you simply cant keep100% of the customers satisfied all the time.
Vehicle are not located in nigeria. Vehicles cannot be inspected and rejected, by the time vehicle lands nigeria, monies would have exchanged hands.
It becomes very imperative that the seller discloses every bit of information including pics of the underbody and suspension parts of the car so potential buyers are in a better bargaining/informed position.

ibukunobi: tHIS CAR IS LOCATED AT ABIJOH, ALONG AJAH-EPE EXPRESS. FIRST USER, BOUGHT ABOUT A YEAR AGO, FIRST BODY. VERY CLEAN WITH CHILLING AC. ALLOY WHEEL.
This vehicle is sold, yes but seems we have a pattern of non disclosure going on.
The body build states the car is NRE150L-DFDK
which should be a corolla with a 1NR-FE engine manual transmission .
Vehicle you posted is automatic and in your words 1 year used.
You also did not share engine bay pictures.
I also noticed a complain about similar non disclosure pattern on this post.
ibukunobi: I GOT THIS CAR FROM A POPULAR COMPANY IN VICTORIA ISLAND, LAGOS THE CHASSIS IS EXCELLENT, NO DENT , THE CAR IS FIRST BODY PAINT EXCEPT THE FRONT AND BACK BUMPER , AND TWO PLACES WHERE I REMOVED THE COMPANY LOGO WITH PAINTS. THIS CAR WAS BARELY USED BY THE COMPANY BECAUSE THEY HAVE A LOT OF POOL CARS IN THEIR COMPOUND. THIS CAR IS A 6 GEAR MANUAL TYPE WITH A VERY LOW MILEAGE, IT HAS A CHILLING AC ATTCHED IS THE PICTURE OF THE CAR FROM UNDER THE ENGINE. THIS CAR IS JUST LIKE NEW, KICK AND START. THIS IS THE BEST CAR FOR UBER BUSINESS, NO THIEF CAN SNATCH A MANUAL TRANSMISSION CAR, THEY ARE SO LAZY AT DRIVING IT. IT IS ALSO GOOD MOSTLY FOR PEOPLE OUTSIDE LAGOS DENSELY POPULATED AREA. THIS CAR IS JUST KICK AND START. MANUAL ENGINES ARE RUGGED, IT DOES NOT GO BAD UNLIKE AUTOMATIC, IT IS NOT EVERY MECHANIC THAT CAN SERVICE AUTOMATIC, IF YOU REPLACE INNER SHAFT IN YOUR AUTOMATIC GEAR, IF CARE IS NOT TAKEN, YOU WILL REPLACE THE GEAR IMMEDIATELY. CALL 08035469212.
ibukunobi: All what you mentioned are just exaggerated issues see below the picture of the car rear bumper the night I drove it out of the company, also see the short video of the second car that I balloted and won same day, which I eventually dash out to my missionary at 550k (a Hyunai accent 2012), you will see the company logo by the side of the Hyundai, that was what made me to use paint to touch some part at the door side, every other area is first body except the bumper that looks scratched a bit, the bumper are better than the ones you see in the market.
1. Dashboard is ruined . THAT IS A BAD WAY TO DESCRIBE DASHBOARD THAT HAS CRACK LINES DUE TO HEAD WHEN IT WAS PARKED, IF IT IS NOT GOOD FOR YOU WHY DID YOU COME WITH 1M?
2. A.C compressor is no longer the factory VDC bun now a manual compressor. For an engine that size it will cause vibrations when it starts up. YES I REPLACED THE AC, I SPENT 49K TO BUY NEW COMPRESSOR AND CONDENSER, IT THAT A CRIME, YES I USE IT REGULARLY FOR AT LEAST TWO HOURS EVERYDAY ON AJAH TRAFFIC AND THERE WAS NO ISSUES, IF YOU DONT LIKE MANUAL, BUY YOUR OWN, IT IS IN THE MARKET.
3. The only parts of the car that are stillbfirat body is the roof of the car and parts of the rear. YOU ARE A CRIMINAL, THE BUNNET, THE SIDE FENDER, THE ROOF, THE TWO SIDES AT THE BACK IS FIRST BODY PAINTS. I WILL PAY THE TRANSPORT OF WHOEVER COME TO TESTIFY. The front bumper, rear bumper, 4doors and boot have been re sprayed and poorly done. I HAD TO REMOVE MY COMPANY LOGO FROM THE DOOR, SIMPLE, CHECK THE VIDEO of the hyundai, same is on corolla.
4. Airbag light is on, possible collision . YOU ARE A CRIMINAL, WHILE IT WAS PARKED, THE SENSOR WAS REMOVED, THE FRONT CHASSIS IS AS NEW AS ANYTHING, THE CAR NEVER HAD COLLISSION. LOOK FOR A MORE INTELLIGENT LIES
5. Vehicle was involved in right impact to trunk and to fender in different locations. THE CAR IS SEALLED INTACT FROM BELOW, AND THE TWO SAND PROTECTORS ARE THERE SEALED, EVIDENCE THAT THE CAR NEVER HAD ANY ACCIDENT, NO RUST, ONLY FEW TOKUNBO CAN BE AS GOOD AS THIS CAR. DEALERS ARE CRIMINALS
6. There are engine oil leaks coming from timing chain area. ANOTHER LIES FROM HELL, THIS ENGINE DOES NOT HAVE LEAKAGES, SOMEONE JUST CAME AND TESTED THE CAR IN MY OFFICE, HE CONFIRMED THE ENGINE IS GRADE ONE, THIS CAR IS JUST 83,000 KM, NOT THE TOKUNBO YOU BROUGHT AT 300,000 KM. THIS CAR WAS BOUGHT BRAND NEW BY MY COMPANY, IN 2012
7. Car runs on water and not factory coolant which brings back the concerns of number 4. IF YOU HAVE YOUR MONEY, BUY YOUR COOLANT, SIMPLE.
I will post supporting pictures for 1-7.
You contradicted your self from the first post you made.

I have inspected the vehicle and noted work or repairs needed to be done on the car (I only mentioned few in the car's video to be shared below/above), including what it will cost to fix everything. However, you have the option to directly contact the seller, discuss the price and purchase the car without getting me involved (I have provided the seller's phone number above), since most Nigerians prefer that option. But whatever happens after the purchase is between you and the seller, if you choose this option.
However, if you want to get me involved, to know everything that needs to be fixed on the car, to know what it will cost to fix all that, to seek my professional advice on the vehicle and/or to help you make the purchase (after you have discussed the price with the seller and agreed on a price), you can contact me on my WhatsApp line:. +2348095721703 or email: ikenna351@gmail.com
Just like stop leak didn't work till you started selling it right? Get a life and stay away from me please. I don't want the lightening to strike me too when it hits you. Maybe finally sell that red Corolla.
I am interested in buying this vehicle , kindly share the vin so I can check its history, also can you open the bonnet and take a picture so I can see the level of front impact and get a quote for repairs?
There have been insinuations in a lot of quarters that this handle is run by Gazzuz, far from it, I visit the autos and cartalk section regularly, and when I see threads that require my opinion, I gladly give it.
I have no intention of stoping regardless of the toes I step on, at the end of the day consumers ask the right questions and are better equipped to make informed purchases on cartalk/autos.
My mail is in my signature if you have more questions.
447 problems have been reported for the 2012 Toyota Corolla. The following chart shows the 17 most common problems for 2012 Toyota Corolla. The number one most common problem is related to the vehicle's air bags with 341 problems. The second most common problem is related to the vehicle's steering (18 problems)
Despite this problems, the asking price for a tokunbo 2012 toyota corolla is sky-rocketing and people are still buying it.
What is my point:
If you want to find fault, give us their fault in Nigeria at Rad Auto Works. We are dealing with Rad Auto Works in Nigeria (CarQuest Nigeria), so if you want to protect us (consumers) do your findings on CarQuest Nigeria not other stores outside Nigeria that we aren't dealing with.
Do they failed to honour any warranty on product?
Do they sell remanufactured spare part as NEW to you?
Do you buy anything from them and return it but was refused?
Please spare us of foreign reports, give us something on CarQuest Nigeria not CarQuest Florida, New Jersey, New York or California etc.
We are dealing or doing business transactions with CarQuest Nigeria, so let us stay focused.
Parts do not fall from the sky, there is a process and a chain, the parts sold in the USA are same parts sold on Nigerian soil. If there are questions/defects in the Usa there will be same issues on Nigerian soil.
Do you realise you're actually being petty and you're helping the lady advertise her services instead of bringing it down
Just like the thread about educating us about rust came up at a "convenient" time, these posts of yours has also come up at a very "convenient" time too.
So, one cannot hold a contrary opinion in this NL anymore without his/her biz being de-marketed?
If you bothered to read or open the links you would be a little more educated.
So this is Gazzuzz.. Shame on you.. First time I came across this moniker was at the early stages of Amdman's thread and you were shut down with your silly attitude.
Much later as you saw him progressing with plenty (potential) clients, you brought the rust issue with your main Moniker and then created the rust thread.
According to the LAGOS MOTOR VEHICLE ADMINISTRATION, there are over 5million private and 200k commercial cars in Lagos.
Young man, neither you nor Radautos can attend to all these people. And with over 200m people in Nigeria, you and all NL auto dealers cannot meet their car demands.
Face your hustles and stop being a cheeky little fvcker and coward hiding under different usernames to shadow attack perceived competition's business. Na bad belle dey lead to witchcraft.
Carquest Corporation is an American automotive parts distribution network that is currently owned and operated by Advance Auto Parts via independent retailers associated with the network . As of October 4, 2014 Advance operated 5,305 stores, 109 Worldpac branches. Advance Auto Parts and CARQUEST Auto Parts employs approximately 75,000 Team Members.[2]
The CQ franchise did not last long around here; just a couple of years. The parts are no better or no worse than anything else out there. They were cheaper than NAPA and in line with everyone else.
Keep in mind that many parts houses may have their parts manufactured by the same company and in the same plant even. They just package them differently and send them off to various warehouses which supply the parts house they’re affiliated with.
The CQ manager here was skimming off the top to keep himself and some of his buddies in free or dirt cheap parts for their race cars. Something like a 100 grand worth last I heard
At least as far as starters are concerned, we haven’t had good luck with them at our shop. The last 4 we’ve gotten from them (2 for one car and 1 for two others) have been bad.
In fairness, what kind of help can be expected for $9 an hour. I used to buy Champion (after Crown Auto), and seemed ok but bought out by Oreilly and I will only buy stuff that is name brand from them such as Monroe. For most serious parts I go to NAPA but had trouble with their alternators. Bought new and went through about three in two years. Finally discarded the lifetime warrenty and will only use Delco now. Lots of times now I’ll just go OEM from the dealer or Rockauto.
In fairness, what kind of help can be expected for $9 an hour.
More people should think more about that. I often go out of my way to use locally owned independent places for everything (harder to do all the time). I do it for lots of reasons but one is that you often get real expertise/wisdom.
But, of course, it costs more b/c the mom & pops can’t compete with the cheap big box places that are cheap, at least in part, because they shave the labor costs down all along the way.
I know people who will call me foolish for spending more when I could obviously get the same stuff for less - right before they whine about the fact that they can never get anyone at Big Box Corp. who actually knows their butt from their elbow.
Many of you know, CarQuest's premium line of chassis parts were simply reboxed Moog, and their premium ignition was Standard. I use terms like "were and "was" because this is no longer the case.
For years, CarQuest has been involved in a little sleight-of-hand tactic called "Velocity Pricing". On fast-moving parts, they'd substitute inexpensive, substandard parts in place of the supposed name-brand parts so they could have the best price and still make good money on them. The high profit margins allowed them to simply eat any warranty claims. You might order the premium cap and rotor for a '91 Chevy 350, and you'd get the same overseas junk that was in their second-line box rather than premium Standard Ignition. The same might happen ordering ball joints for the same vehicle--you expect to get Moog, but instead you might get Falcon or Perfect Circle or TRW. None of those companies holds a candle to Moog. Standard is in a league of their own as well.
I'm sure they're still up to it, it's common practice among suppliers like CarQuest and NAPA that don't sell brand-name parts. Carquest won't be doing it with Moog or Standard anymore, though. Both companies figured out what was happening. With CarQuest counter staff saying "It's actually Moog" or "It's actually Standard Ignition" when the parts may not really be as such, both Moog and Standard decided that it was not worth the dent to their reputations to deal with such an organization. Both companies recently pulled the plug on CQ.
The end of May signalled the end of Moog shipping to CarQuest. Their supply of Moog is slowly petering out. The replacement line is Raybestos, again not in Moog's league (I know, I sell both in their brand-name boxes). I'm not sure when Standard will bail, but I know it's soon if it hasn't already happened. I do not know who's replacing Standard, but it doesn't matter since no one else comes close in quality. Echlin, Wells, Bosch, whomever... all junk. It gives me comfort that I'll never have to price-match an ignition part in this town again.
If you demand quality parts, demand a brand-name box around them. Yes, it will likely cost more but you know damned well that box contains the brand advertised. Otherwise you might be spending the premium bucks for the second-line parts (this is always the case with NAPA/Echlin--it's third-rate garbage), and should a warranty issue arise, the jobber selling the name-brand box has a lot more pull with the supplier than those who re-box under their own name. I've seen that with my own eyes when a friend bought a less-expensive identical PCM from CarQuest. They wouldn't warranty it for weeks until it went back to the supplier and was tested. I used the same supplier in the name-brand box and could have warrantied it the same day with no fear of charge-back. Was the customer's being without a vehicle for nearly a month worth the money saved? Probably not to the customer in the long run. I can also call suppliers' tech lines directly while the poor bastards at NAPA, Advance, AutoZone and CarQuest have to call their corporate tech lines that have no representatives of the actual suppliers and have no better information than the counter goof does if he knows where to look.
There's more to life than price. Consider value. Name brands have reputations to uphold and are going to stand behind their product both to the retailer and the final customer, and it seems more evident in auto parts than any other industry of which I'm aware.
Anyhow, if you want the best in ignition or chassis, it can no longer be had from your local CarQuest. You can downgrade with them, but if you work on cars for a living, where should your ultimate loyalty lie? Should it lie with the customer who pays your bills or a supplier who can no longer offer you the highest-quality parts for someone depending on--and paying you--to fix it right the first time?
My loyalty lies with my customer... and I constantly annoy my own bosses because of it. :bwuhaha:
This is not an upgraded 2018 Toyota Camry, it is an actual one. The price you quoted is impossible at current market rate unless vehicle is defective or stolen.
