Just saw a report on cnn that every 6 mins, 10 Nigerians slip below the poverty line.

In a sane enclave, such report would infuriate and trigger the populace to take to the streets demanding better governance...

..The govt in its shame, would frantically seek means to halt such preposterous trend.

But trust Nigerians and their docile nature..

It’s a disgrace that we’re being herded like cows and not governed like humans
Then you will be the most stupid person to believe such reports. you should check among your family members, friends, neighbours, collegues etc to have a first hand information and check if it's true.

Has any of those people dishing out such reports ever approached you or anybody that you know anywhere to verify your income line? They just sit down in their offices and be dishing out anything they want. Which in most cases are targeted at tarnish our image or still to be controlling our political choices.

So after Fashola's confession and the previous baiting of a 2023 presidency, the APC still have guts to throw this gabbage before the SE?

We don't associated or endorse failure because of political expediency or survival & crave that other regions do like wise.Abeg where is Rochas,Ogbonnaya Onu, Ngige, Osita Okechukwu, Ken Nnamani, Igbo-Defender and other asslickers of this shitcrap?

Retain the presidency as you so wish but lets restructure or have a referendum in Nigeria.Stupid people. angry angry
Stop ranting and grab wisdom. Fashola is from where? were you expecting other regions to fold their arms while Igbos will be begged to take the office? no way. If i were in his shoes I would do the same over and over again. Power they say is not given but taken.

The restructuring you are talking about is ok, but you are being intoxicated about it. did anybody tell you that having Igbo man as a president would stop the country from being restructured? Or are you expecting that if Atiku wins though seriously doubtful, he will just dish out instructions and restructure as they told those who care to listen? Its not like that, because it's at that time you will hear all these ones jumping up and down reminding him the things he has no power to do. They will remind him certain relevant aspects of the constitution that must be amended first. Court injuctions after injuctions will follow. then constitutional lawyers and national assembly members will be at every newspaper reminding him rule of law and why he must have to wait for the constitution to be amended first before certain actions are taken or face impeachment. Then he will definitely soften then we enter into endless constitutional amendment. Infact, my point is that, it's going to be a rigorous process which will require the readiness of the majority of people in the country before certain level of restructuring that will be meaningful would be actualized, and definitely not as easy as Atiku is currently preaching. He just wants to grab power first and then turn back and tell us the handicap he is facing and why that wouldn't be possible that soon.

On the other hand, it's pertinent that we the igbos don't make the same mistake again. because buhari will still win even with a wide margin. so that we don't come back and start shouting marginalisation and start expecting a better or equal treatment with those who invested heavily on the project.

I don't have the answer because I was under my parents then. The only thing I can remember is that my father was not complaining of increase in cost of commodities the way I have been complaining to my wife since buhari took over.

I can also remember that as a secondary school student in the 90s, I buy a pair of jeans from mandilas and tejuoso market at slightly over a thousand naira. That price range remained until I finished my university education in 2004. I am being 100% sincere to you.
It's not your fault that you were under the care of your parents then. Every adult at one time or the other passed through such stage.

However, the information is still at your disposal. If you turn to Google or the website of the Nigerian bureau of statistics you will have all the answers that you need. Even if you don't want to bother yourself very much, just check the prices of basic commodities like, fuel, gas, kerosene, rice, beans, bag of cement, costs of various Labour, cost of transport, house rent, spare parts, even the almighty exchange rates etc.

My dear if you do this, you will be surprised and shocked how far and fast we have retrogressed as a nation. you will even see that we recorded much growth in infrastructure under the military that every body condemn in a haste as if the civilian governments served us better. I remember that most of the unversity hostels and lecture halls were built under the military era through PTF, a lot of federal roads, hospitals, various stadium, gas pipeline, water dams, hydro power plants, even the constitution that we have today etc.

Check the status of all these before military handed over to PDP in 1999, then compare the prices and the status again in 2015 when they handed over to APC. You will observe how battered they left the country. Do you know that the entire national assembly budget was around 20billion. So Whatever that pushed it to above 120billion when they handed over even when their number did not increase are fundamental issues that should worry you and I.

Yes, your father may not have been complaining then because things were relatively stable. that's why I reffered you to the prices of things when they took over, and how fast things were worsening under their watch. which is my headache today. a lot of people were still farming, many local and foreign industries were still functional near 100% capacity. but almost all of these were already destroyed before they left government. The famous statement from prof. soludo that any body that will win 2015 election was going to suffer in administring the country because the previous government have destroyed the economy. Even Peter Obi was famous with the statement that for 16 years, PDP did not achieve any of the millennium development goals let alone going to SDGs.

You See, I am taking time to highlight some of these things not because there are no problems in buhari government, but My issue is that, I can't forgive the likes of obasanjo and Atiku who spent 16 billion dollars on power alone without anything to show for it. And others that messed up the country for such a long time only to turn back today looking for gullible minds to deceive by, saying that the present government is responsible for owe woes. we all know that it takes more time to rebuild than to destroy.

Again, it's always important that we dig deep to study the source of our problems so that we may know how best to approach them. Because when a man refuses to take cognizance of where the rain meets him, he will not know the type of bunfire he is to make to quench his cold.

2. Friends and relations who have become jobless over the last 3 years.

3.increase in Cost of food prices in the market over the last 3 years.

I could go on and on but this should be sufficient.

And let no one say Jonathan laid the foundation for the mess and oil prices went down. PDP took over from a nation wrecked by the military, and oil prices were under 30$ yet things picked up in the nation.
What were prices of things at that time PDP took over from the military you claimed they messed up the country? even the exchange rates and prices of major commodities at the time pdp took over and the situation at the time they handed over to apc. Please i need an honest answer.

This is the part I will never agree with Jonathan. He and his government never agreed that any chibok girl or girls were kidnapped. they said it was a drama being played by the then opposition party just to discredit his government. that was why it took him and his government months before they made move to check if it was true.

By then, the boko boys were already dancing gymnastics on top of those innocent girls in sambisa forest. so to blame anybody will be totally unacceptable.

The case was taken to court or an arbitration as stated in the contract and they were awarded large damages for breach of contract by the Nigerian government

GEJ had negotiated the damages to a little under a $1b and wanted to pay

However, since it was close to the tail end of his administration, he refused to pay as Buhari could term it as a grand scheme by GEJ to swindle the country in his dying hours at Aso Rock

Rather than PMB pay it, he started forming I too know and the rest is history; that is the $9b fine
You are a criminal carrying false news around. Jonathan did not negotiate anything to 1b dollar. If he did, who took away his biro that made him not to approve for the payment?

Besides, that matter was taken to court in 2015 when your Jonathan had messed it up. The award for damages was made by their arranged court in 2017. So at what point did your jonathan negotiat for nonexistent penalty?

But if you had stopped being lazy, you would have googled and read all these. from there, you will be shocked that this criminal woman and her company for those number of years, could not buy land for the project let alone erecting one block.

So What damages do you want the government to be paying even up to the 1b dollar you said you and Jonathan Went and negotiated?

You see, these are the kind of damages you, your jonathan and all these ones Atikulating have caused this country. Thank God he handed us over to buhari at the time he did. else, we would have been refugees in Mongolia by now.

Go and sit down the country is not under any siege. This is the kind of news most of you like to receive with open arms, negative news against the government. have you heard from the side of the government?

I wonder how a government that was seriously looking for foreign investors would turn round to cancel a good one with enough potentials as this woman is alleging. Look at she is already claiming 9 billion dollars for damages for a none existent refinery.

There is no difference between this and what we are experiencing in power supply which was sold to incompetent hands who then turned around and started claiming huge debt from government even when they supplied darkness.

If not, this woman and her company entered into this contract since 2010 and up till 7 years after, there was nothing to show for it. So why do you think the government should just keep quiet? She is simply being crazy.

Imaging her efontory reminding us how corrupt we are when they are the ones that warehouse looted funds from all over the world. who is then more corrupt?
Politics › Re: Fashola Gives Reasons South West Will Re-elect Buhari by contigiency(m): 10:08pm On Nov 20, 2018
Fashola had earlier asked the people of south West to vote buhari so that they may have the opportunity of producing the next president, people let loose their anger and venom calling for the man's head, asking why should he ever mention a thing like that. But Gbenga Daniel Asked the same people to vote Atiku so that they may get SGF position, the same people that called for fashola's head kept mom as if nothing was said. Everything about it was normal and no crime was committed. So I ask, does committing offence suit some people while others should never think of it?
