Mario Gomez has started 18 CL games and has scored 17 goals in his whole career Goal/start ration of 0.94

David Villa has started 15 UEFAcup/Europa cup games and scored 6 goals in his whole career Goal/Start ratio of 0.4

Mario Gomez has started 9 UEFA cup/Europa cup games and scored 8 goals in his whole career Goals/start ratio of 0.88

Stats in UEFA organised tournaments are up there for you to peruse. You can bring any other striker not named Messi and Ronaldo and compare their stats. Bring Rooney, Villa, Suarez and they would be slaughtered.
