Not many are aware that former Minister
of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-kayode and
former beauty queen, Mrs Bianca Onoh
were heading for the altar in the late
80’s, but the wheels of their love life was
clogged by an unexpected event.
Bianca Odinaka Olivia Onoh, the sixth
child of Late Chief Christian Chukwuma
Onoh, the second republic governor of
the of the old Anambra state, had met
Femi Fani-kayode while she was
studying for her A- levels in Cambridge
Tutorial College. The latter was also
attending the University of Cambridge
for his Master’s Degree programme in
law.
Sources revealed that the beauty was
already a queen before they met. Bianca
had won the MISS MARTINI, a beauty
pageant organized by the beverage
company known as Martini Rossi, while
schooling at Yorkshire in England. Then,
Femi, whose father was the second
Queen’s Counsel{Senior Advocate of
Nigeria} that Nigeria produced, was
finishing his Master’s programme, while
Bianca was settling down for her
combined honours degree in Politics,
Economics and Law at the University of
Buckingham.
The two later found each other in
Nigeria. While Femi had finished the
youth service programme, Bianca had
also transferred to the University of
Nigeria, Nzukka, where her father had
compelled her to study law. Late Chief C.C
Onoh, a lawyer and expert in land
matters had genuinely and strongly
guided his children into reading law.
Later, as the current Nigeria’s
Ambassador to Spain was done with her
programme and out of the university,
the former aide to ex-President
Obasanjo was getting set to join his
father’s law chamber. Around this time,
another lady, Miss Saratu Attah had
equally found a place in Femi’s heart. She
soon got pregnant for him. The
pregnancy of Saratu Attah, whose father,
Alhaji Adamu Attah, was the second
republic governor of Kwara State,
reportedly set the relationship between
Femi and Bianca on the edge of ruins.
Sometime in 1997, at the wedding
anniversary of Ide Ahaba, Chief Sonny
Odogwu in Asaba, Delta State, Bianca,
who was already married and equally
expecting her first child then, had told a
frontline celebrity journal, when she was
asked about his botched marriage plans
with Femi Fani-kayode that “it [the
marriage] was not meant to be… I met
FFK in London and we both dreamt of
having a beautiful home, but things
didn’t work our way. I know that he’s
married now,” she said.
The marriage plans collapsed because
Femi had impregnated Saratu, who later
gave birth to Folake, the first child of
Femi Fani-kayode, who now holds a
Master’s degree in law. Bianca went on
with her law programme and later
joined her father in his chambers.
However, our source did not provide
further on the level of intimacy between
Bianca and FFK. We were told that such
is left for the duo of Bianca and Fani
Kayode to disclose.

There is fire burning in my house. As a
matter of fact, my husband has sent me

According to my elder daughter, in the
process of her trying to find out who
her mystery boyfriend is, since the one
she knows is outside the country, she
became very rude to the elder sister.
Somehow, it led to them exchanging
words, which eventually ended in the
elder one slapping the younger one.

It was during this heated exchange that
the younger one told the elder sister, not
to ever try it, as they were now mates. It
was at that point she told the sister that
she was pregnant for her husband.
Hearing to my suggestion that they
should keep the baby made my husband
conclude that I was privy to my younger
daughter's decision to sleep with the
husband of her elder sister. My pleas to
my husband to understand that as a
mother, I simply wanted the best for my
daughters fell on deaf ears.
For this reason, I have been sent packing
while my younger daughter too had also
been sent out of her sister's house.
I am really confused on how to proceed
from here - what will be the fate of my
daughters and myself? Besides, I want to
go back to my husband's house. I miss

Nina Siakhali Moradi was prevented from
taking up a post on the city council in
Qazvin, the ancient capital of the Persian
Empire, 100 miles north west of Tehran,
after her election was overturned by
religious conservatives.
Even with more than 10,000 votes in the
June election, putting her 14th out of
163 candidates and winning her a
council seat, the 27-year-old engineer
and website designer had her political
career cut short because she was
deemed too attractive to take up the
post.
"We don't want a catwalk model on the
council," a senior official in Qazvin told
local press.
Moradi ran under the slogan "Young
ideas for a young future," pushing for
better women's rights in Qazvin, the
restoration of the old city and greater
youth involvement in town planning.
She had been vetted and approved as a
candidate by Iran's judiciary and
intelligence services.
Her liberal views appeared popular with
the electorate. Moradi's campaign
posters showed her wearing strict hijab
without a strand of hair on display.
Despite this, conservative religious
groups launched protests to demand
her disqualification as soon as her
election was confirmed.
In a letter to the governor of Qazvin, a
coalition of religious groups condemned
the "vulgar and anti-religious" posters
and said they breached Islamic law.
News website IranWire reported that
there were other objections to her
campaign. According to the website, her
headquarters became a gathering place
for local young people, whose behavior
and clothing provoked criticism from her
opponents, mostly older conservative
men.
The complaint was challenged but
ultimately upheld. She was disqualified
for not "observing the Islamic norms."
Citing local media, IranWire reported that
authorities had also confiscated the
campaign posters of two other female
candidates, Maryam Nakhostin-Ahmadi
and Shahla Atefeh, and detained both for
questioning.
President Rowhani is expected to bring
a new era in women's rights. In a
televised debate during his election
campaign, he announced: "I will form a
women's affairs ministry to return their
trampled rights to them."

A tradomedical practitioner in Lagos has
claimed that a 20-yearold woman
delivered a tortoise and a baby girl in his
clinic. The woman, Rasheedat Raimi, said
she had carried the pregnancy for 10
months before she eventually delivered
the baby girl and the tortoise at a trado-
medical clinic on Mutairu Street, Off
Ijegun Road, outskirts of Lagos. She was
in pains as she talked to P.M.NEWS about
the strange delivery. “I came to Yakafi

A middle-aged man is on the
run after allegedly beating his
wife to death. The 42-year-old
victim, named Mujidat, was
carrying a four-month pregnancy when the
tragedy occurred.
The suspect (name is not disclosed)
committed the murder in Apata area of
Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, last week. It
was learnt that the victim challenged her
husband to explain the reason he was
having a love affair with another woman.
She was said to have caught the husband
with the woman in his car.
According to a police source, a hot
argument ensued, leading to a fight
between the couple. Mujidat reportedly
died
during the fight.
Mrs. Olabisi Ilobanafor, the Deputy
Superintendent (DSP) and police
spokesperson, said the case was reported
at
the Apata Police Division by the deceased's
father, Pa Rufus Tijani, who accused the
suspect of killing his pregnant daughter.
The
suspect, she said, had since fled,
abandoning his home and car.
She said Mujidat's body had been
deposited
at the mortuary of the Oyo State Hospital,
Adeoyo, off Ring Road, Ibadan.
Mrs. Ilobanafor added that police were on
the suspect's trail, assuring: "Wherever he
is
hiding, I advise him to report himself
because he must come and explain his role
in the criminal act.

A 2-year-old Rhode Island boy was found
wandering around a housing project miles
from his home hours after his mother and
another woman were found slain at their
house Sunday and two men were under
arrest, police said.
A patrolman in Providence spotted Isaiah
Perez walking around the Chad Brown
housing project by himself around 8:15
p.m., said Johnston Deputy Police Chief
Daniel Parrillo. The toddler was evaluated at
Hasbro Children's Hospital and had no
injuries, he said.
The search for the boy began after the two
bodies were discovered about 5:20 a.m. at a
home in Johnston, a town of 30,000
residents less than 10 miles from
Providence. Two men were arrested in the
double homicide and Isaiah's abduction,
while police continued their search for the
child.
Johnston Police Chief Richard S. Tamburini
said one of the victims was the child's
mother.
Parrillo said investigators believe the victims
were killed between 4:30 a.m. and 5 a.m.
and the boy was taken from the home. The
names of the two dead were not
immediately released.
Malcolm Crowell, 22, was arrested in Fall
River, Mass., Sunday afternoon and Daniel
Rodriguez, 27 or 28, was arrested that
evening in Providence, Parrillo said. Both
suspects are from Providence, but Parrillo
would not say why police suspect the two
or how they are related to each other or to
the victims.
He said one or both of the suspects could be
charged in connection with the crimes on
Monday.
