charlesemeka85:Lmao. Morocco's kind of set-up is just so hard to break down. That's why I didn't blame Spain for being so possessive of the ball. Spain had over 20 shots in that game but most were either blocked or off target. |
AndSunGorilla:Exactly. |
typicalgamer:As a Barca fan, I really hated the fact that the coaches just didn't know how to use Griezmann. Koeman even played him as a winger on many occasions. Griezmann isn't a winger. His best positions are SS, AM and the false nine role. You see him and Pogba, they could play terribly for their club sides but when they play for France, they turn into beasts. |
Mujtahida:Well, I'm not Southgate and that's exactly why I didn't forget him. All over the news, the question being asked is 'who's going to stop Mbappe? Can Kyle Walker do it?' That's what people are talking about and I think it's going to turn around and bite them in the ass. |
To the 'anti-tiki-taka' crew, please what happened to Portugal's ultra attacking style of play? ![]() They've played so many aimless long balls into Morocco's half, that they're now looking so clueless. Now they're going to suffer exactly what Spain suffered, perhaps even worse. |
Women and infection. Tuehh ![]() |
Messi my man ![]() |
England are too focused on who's going to mark Mbappe(most likely Kyle Walker) that they're forgetting there's a certain Griezmann who's the creative spark of that French midfield and is gonna be lurking around waiting to pounce. |
Yes Yes Yes!!!!!! ![]() |

mostob:Immediately I saw De Jong and then Weghorst on the pitch at the same time, fear gripped me. Those two no dey use their heads see ball. I knew a goal would come soon. Just deliver crosses into the box and leave them to do the rest. Scalloni got his tactics wrong today. |
Scalloni shouldn't have removed DePaul |

Last last, you'll still betray your friend and open your legs for the guy ![]() |
Blueelf:The thing pain me sha. I really wanted Brazil to do well this time. |
Marjoribanks:Lol, of course I did. It seems you're new here. Losing 2:0 to eventual finalists and then 2:1 to a messi-led Argentina is nothing to be ashamed of considering the quality of our squad. |
Croatia is swiftly becoming a big footballing nation. This just proves that their appearance at the final of the last world cup was no fluke. Today's result didn't come as a surprise to me at all. I'm sad but not surprised. They're a proper tournament team. |

Never underate Croatia. That team get coconut head . |
I don't know why people like underating Croatia. They reached the final of the last world cup. That team get coconut head. ![]() |
TheGoodJoe:Exactly. |
daveP:Lol, national team football is not like club football where you can just buy any player you want and sell any player you don't want. You have to make do with what you have. I think we have different views on what tiki taka actually is but let's just agree to disagree on this one ![]() |
daveP:The problem isn't the style of play. Possession football is one of the beautiful brands of football out there. I personally see it as the most beautiful. It totally epitomizes what team work should stand for and Football is a team sport after all. The problem lies in not having the right kind of players to suit the system. There's no Xavi and Iniesta to organize things and lob those dangerous balls into the box. There's no De Bruyne to make those crosses from the half space to the far post. There's no Fabregas to roam around the 'D' (arc) of the opponent's box. There's no Messi-Jordi Alba relationship and understanding. Today, Enrique started Llorente as a RB when there's an Azpilicueta who despite his old age, still has it in him to deliver dangerous crosses into the box. Rodri has been playing as a Centre Back in order to accommodate Busquets as a DM. Morata has been on fire in this world cup but was benched for Asensio. Gavi and Pedri are great but they're no Xavi and Iniesta. If you want to play possession football, you need the right players. There's a reason Guardiola has spent more than a billion acquiring players. |
charlesemeka85:Lol, at least they've won the world cup. The tiki taka philosophy did that for them. Super Eagles with all our 'attack from the wings' philosophy, what have we been able to achieve at the world cup? Quarter finals, we never even smell but we have mouth to criticize a team who used their own philosophy to win the world cup. That's shameful nah .When we tried to re-enact the 'attack from the wings' philosophy, the best we could get was a coach who couldn't even eloquently describe his style of play. The best he could come up with was 'You know Guardiola?' Chai ![]() I know with Morocco's win against Spain, more 'local coach enthusiasts' would finally have something to latch on to, forgetting that this Moroccan coach already won the CAF champions league. How many of our local coaches have even reached the CAF champions league final let alone winning it? Just wait and see the kinds of characters they clamour for. We're not ready in this country. |
I am glad more and more men are beginning to wake up to the truth. Marriage is a social construct designed to take from the man and give to the woman; keeping the man as a willing slave until his last breath, whereby his sons shall continue from where he stopped. It was never designed to benefit you. It was designed to enslave you. |
Senegal, why? ![]() |

Crosses are very important in football. Immediately that Polish Number 11 came on and started delivering crosses, the game changed and he ended up winning a penalty for his team. Now imagine if those crosses started earlier. Netherlands' 3 goals yesterday all came from crosses. Poland should have done better. Congratulations to France. |

Milik almost scored. If only they've been delivering such crosses into the box since |
