Wonders that didn't give them AFCON ticket. Anyway, till we meet again in Uyo That's a different competition. Their World Cup dream is alive, and Papa Rohr is making it happen. |

Benin's 4:0 thumping of Lesotho yesterday has now taken them ahead of Nigeria with 14 points while Nigeria has 11 points. They also have a goal difference of 4 while Nigeria has two. Papa Rohr is doing wonders

elyte89: NFF Media:
“Cyriel Dessers, who had an unimpressive game in Uyo where he turned out be a substitute that was substituted, did not have a better game as he was too slow to latch onto passes, could not win aerial balls and did little in bringing alive the Nigerian attack.”
Did nff media truly said dis.. are Dey trying to throw him under the bus for d performance..if so ,Dey are crazy for saying such Lol, if the NFF actually said/posted this, then they'll need to show me the exact passes the midfielders and wingers/fullbacks gave to Dessers that he was too slow to latch on to. We all watched the match. That midfield was totally dead in the first half. Or is it Moses Simon's terribly attempted crosses that they're referring to? The midfield was so terrible today that the only reason Tolu had that chance to score early in the second half was because Lookman dropped deep into our own half and released a long ball quickly in behind S.A's defense so there was enough space for Tolu to run and dribble. Tolu's second chance to score in the second half also came from Chrisantus Uche's long ball from the midfield in behind S.A's defense. If our midfielders/fullbacks had taken advantage of Dessers' numerous diagonal runs in behind S.A's tight defense in the first half, especially when he dragged about two defenders with him, we'd probably be celebrating a victory right now. He made those runs again and again but no one gave him an accurate pass, neither did anyone take advantage of the space he created. There'll always be a scapegoat. If it's not Dessers today, it'll be Iwobi tomorrow. That's why I kept saying I didn't want him to play these qualifiers because I know Nigerians. |

Geofavor: Lol. I knew you would get defensive. You don't practise what you preach. You talk so much about accountability but don't take accountability yourself. You haven't responded to any of what I said. Anyone who reads my post and reads yours can clearly see who's throwing a fit. Lol
What has seeing nothing worth liking in women got to do with defeating lust? You are not even self-reflective enough to see how stup1d that statement is. That's why I said some of you are dumb as hell. There is no reason to sugarcoat it.
Sorry if I hurt your feelings, but you sound like the women you bash all day.
Why do you always say something was taken out of context? What more context do you need for something that's as clear as day? That statement carries weight regardless of context. How do you feel when a woman says "men are scum"? Does the context matter so much that the statement means something else? Imagine she says, "if a woman can control herself and not seek attention, she would be very powerful. I look at men and see nothing worth liking in them"?
There are no double standards in my views. That man I applauded was specifically talking about lust, the habit, not women. These person in this thread was talking about women. See the difference? Imagine you were a father of a beautiful well-behaved girl and some dude looks at her and says "there's nothing worth liking in women", would you applaud him?
I am not interested in appearing as anything. I have more important things doing on NL than engage in these sort of things. I was only saying things the way I see them. Anything that doesn't make me money here doesn't matter to me. Yeah, I have seen a lot of smart stuff here. But I have seen some stup1d shit as well. So yeah some of you are dumb as hell. I don't even consider this an insult. It's just the truth. Example being you applauding instead of correcting the fella who obviously seems to be going through some phase.
Except, no one thinking properly would consider what he wrote as just overcoming lust. Overcoming lust does not mean you have to not like women. The contrast between what he wrote and what the guy I applauded wrote for example is as wide as the ocean. Did you see any negative rhetoric about women in that masturbat1on guy's post? I'm glad you brought that up. Though I wonder why you're going through my posts looking for something to discredit me instead of properly considering what I've written. Again, you're exhibiting the same feminine behaviour you yap about all day. I wish I had the time for such. You're welcome to scour through my posts though. Good luck finding material to use Lol.
Now, I'm not saying you shouldn't criticise in case you haven't figured. I'm saying you should know where to draw the line. Women are this and that. We know. But saying there's nothing worth liking in women, for instance, is crossing the line. If all he meant was overcoming lust as you've spinned it or not "simping", he definitely should have worded his statements better.
Have a great day, boss. Lol. The man said he conquered lust and stopped falling for manipulation. You cherry picked “I see nothing worth liking”, stripped it of context, and then ran around screaming “he hates women” like a Nollywood director looking for drama. That’s not debate, that’s clickbait cosplay. Then came your “if you had a daughter” routine. Bro, this is a discussion, not a soap opera audition. Dragging imaginary kids into it isn’t logic, it’s emotional theatre. Every time your points collapse, you reach for pity props. And then you actually said “context doesn’t matter.” Do you hear yourself? If a doctor says “you’re finished” in a hospital, it’s serious. If he says it during FIFA, it’s banter. Same words, completely different weight. Without context, your whole spin evaporates. Meanwhile, you call people “dumb as hell” while preaching accountability. That’s not principle, that’s hypocrisy in clown paint. You applauded a man for celibacy last month, then turned around and attacked another for actually mastering lust. That’s not consistency, that’s contradiction with extra seasoning. And the projection? Loud. You cry “defensive” while typing WAEC-length monologues that prove the exact opposite of the “I don’t care” act you’re trying to sell. Bottom line: The difference is glaring for all to see. He showed discipline, you showed theatrics. He walked in with control, you walked in with contradictions. Case closed. Good night. 😎 |

We need a destroyer in that midfield that can either help or replace Ndidi, perhaps Onyedika.
Dele Bashiru was also non-existent until he gave the assist for that goal. Chrisantus Uche should probably replace him in the 60th minute.
Our midfield didn't create anything for our strikers and neither did our wingers. Moses Simon has been disappointing to say the least.
I couldn't count how many times Dessers made diagonal runs into the half space but Iwobi, Lookman and Moses didn't give him the ball, neither did anyone even try to take advantage of the space he created by dragging about two defenders with him.
Frederick has been amazing. |
