The most innovative telelcoms giant, Etisalat, has just launched from her coffers yet another creative web, wap and app based entertainment service called – Video Ringtone (Vringo). The service interestingly allows your phone rings on incoming calls playing a video in place of the conventional audio everyone is used to. I find it quite exciting and different! And I wish to inform all mobile phone enthusiasts about it (most especially my fans, co-geeks, friends, colleagues, all and sundry). The service is available on Android phones, Java and Symbian devices and can be accessed via web, wap and Vringo app. You can begin opting for the service by texting “SUB” to 669 (free for first 30days and later N100/month upon renewal). Click on the link in the Vringo welcome sms you will receive. Download app (of about 4.2mb in size – might need a little data or airtime to do this), install and try out from the available video contents, there are free video contents and premium contents (with a one-off fee of N50/download). The Vringo app UI is easy to navigate and user friendly and also enables sharing of apps (service) with friends and others via app sharing mode as supported by the phone (i.e via whatsapp, BBM, Bluetooth, facebook etc.).... softbreedtechnologies.com - for more info and photos.

Herrmes: If it does, swear I'm buying it, btw how eco-system friendly is it?Beyond the retina scanning, I think the specs are impressive!! Let's see how it goes.... September is just around the corner. ![]() |
Latest news making the rounds on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, which is a device expected to further project the breakthrough of Samsung in the world of phablets, is the introduction of retinal (eye) scanning functionality - which uses the unique pattern of an individual's retina to identify them. According to latest tweet by @SamsungExynos, which stated "Security can be improved using features unique to us. That's what we envision. What would you use?" This implies that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 may be the first mobile phone ever to feature this advanced security technology enhancement, which if implemented will allow for unique user identification similar to fingerprint scanning technology currently available on the iPhone 5S and Samsung Galaxy S5 but with a bit of an extra! I personally want to believe that this latest security technological feat will hopefully be devoid of any negative health implication. Well that aside, the Samsung Note 4 unveiling is expected at the IFA 2014 to go down on the 4th September. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has been learned to feature a 5.7-inch Super Amoled QHD display at a high resolution of 1440x2560 (515ppi). Its processing power will spot an Exynos 5433 (8-core) octa-core processor and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 variant clocked at 2.5GHz; graphics processing strength will be based on Mali-T760 graphic core and an Adreno 420 variant. The memory capacity is expected to be between 3GB-4GB of RAM and internal storage capacity of 32-64GB and still with microSD card expansion support. The Galaxy Note 4's connectivity will feature an LTE (4G network @150mpbs downlink speed) 3G network @42mpbs DL speed as well as 2G; others are bluetooth 4.0, wireless - Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, hotspot, DLNA etc. The imaging power of this impressive device is expected to be a 16MP rear and 2MP front-facing camera capable of simultaneous HD video and image capture at 1080p and above. The Samsung's flagship note's operations is expected to be anchored on Android KitKat platform of 4.4.3 or 4.4.4 and complimented with the S-pen.

Nsonaso: Dude I just want to tell you the Technologies adopted by Samsung and GiONEE which cost more than the one used by TECNO and yet TECNO is more expensiveI hear you.... but I disagree ![]() |
biz2get: For trying.... Yes they do!U call this great ingenuity 'a Crap'? No comments! Tecno fans have testified to the fluidity of the previous versions and this even better, trust me. And I wish I could actually make phones or work for Tecno Mobile... I wish. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Nsonaso: Bro you forget that this same TECNO PHANTOM Z uses the same old AMOLED screen technology use in Nexus One (2010) whereas Samsung / GiONEE uses Super AMOLED & Super AMOLED+Sincerely, I think ur head is above the clouds, u need bring it down a little. Can u briefly tell us the great distinction btw the the amoled, super & the super + ? (they all render good color saturation compared to IPS, which is only a little brighter). ![]() the point is all corning gorilla glass will crack if u drop 'em! (Same reason apple is going for Sapphire glass & metal alloy these days) ![]() wireless connectivity of a/b/g/n/ac and all that... and where do u really get the ac currently? a/b/g still remain the major ones around here. ![]() |
Osyxcel: With this specs, I can say Tecno has really evolved, and it is positioning itself to serve as a competition against the phone giants. You made my day! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
biz2get: you got to move with the times my friend don’t be a dinosaur, adapt like the crocodiles and embace change. Are u kidding? okay, I will research that... thank u for the snippet! ![]() |
biz2get: My instinct tells me.... Yuu were paid for all of thisNot really, I just feel they deserve some credit. Honestly, they have earned it. ![]() |
Randerl: Correct Guy. You are the man.For where? Abegi.... |
OohMpa: [color=#808000]Okay...thank u for the insight but these prices are still relative by the time u order online & pay for delivery too, am positive u will opting for the tecno quietly. And none in ur list features Amoled display, which still makes the PheeZee a top-notch! ![]() |
4llerbuntu: please can someone explain how and why a phone's front facing camera has flash? Its app-controlled chief, only handy in low-light conditions. No one says u shud stare into any LED for that matter.... |
s3nn2x: Where did you get the phone. My adventures with Tecno would be over very soon.Am glad u like ur Phantom A+ & I strongly believe the same conviction will make u go for the PheeZee, despite the price....cos of what it has to offer & not because its a chinese brand. A whole lot of these phones globally are still made in China or have their components made in there (thru franchising and all that... so?), what difference does it make with tecno? They have really evolved sincerely! |
LordReed: I have lost faith in those benchmarks, too easily manipulated by manufacturers. I have used the Xperia Z1 utilizing the Snapdragon 800 and it is faster than my S5.5 so I know what I am saying.May be... (but I believe u) ![]() |
LordReed: The Snapdragon 800 is quad core and smacks the octacore mediatek from here to Jupiter so don't even go there. The Elife S5.5 uses the octacore MTK and it is still cheaper than the tecno r7 so why shouldn't tecno fans complain?I think we need to go for Antutu rating to contest that "jupiter smacking" ![]() |
yBNL1: lol......when I can get a good icore i5 lappy at that price. Nigerian phombies will still waste their money on this shitAnd bro... you no go put ur SIM for that Core i5 o and u wont do whatsapping & Bbming on it. So what do u say of iPhones that cost a ton? |
LordReed: I bought the Gionee Elife S5.5 the world's slimmest phone as of now for 42k, Tecno is not giving anything the S5.5 doesn't have so how come the high price? The most expensive Gionee phone does not use a mediatek chip but rather a Snapdragon 800 and it costs about 70k can you compare mediatek and Snapdragon?nothing special, just branding! Is the snapdragon chipset's speed above that of the PheeZee? And how many core is the snapdragon on the Gionee E7? Its 70k and everybody is cool I think fans complain about tecno's costs because of the love they have for the brand & I don't have a problem with that. Its good for all of us ![]() |
nani667: That same Samsung Galaxy S3 and a host of low end Samsung phones have already been rocking Kitkat for a long time via Custom ROMS.... Thats the beauty of Samsung... Whether they release updates or not men must still flex updates.... ✔True but not exclusive to samsung alone.... |
prezelThomas: Yea and I think the latest price of the Samsung Galaxy S4 @ Jumia is around 70k...and we know both phones are miles aparthow many miles apart pls? And do u still remember how much it cost on its release? I believe we all know. |
francis247: And when Samsung release Android P update 4 galaxy S5, you'll still be stuck with Kitkat or sell your phantom Z @ 25k to buy Phantom Z+++...And who says it's all galaxy fones that will be getting these updates? Same reason samsung galaxy s3 (& host of others) is not getting kitkat with all its high-end specs & costs. Who knows... tecno could also come up with OTA updates for its android upgrades soon ![]() |
But really, is there anything unusual about the mediatek processor that I have seen a few people complain about in here? The mediatek processor is a high quality brand not just used by tecno but even by other major phone manufacturers - infinix, Jiayu, huawei, gionee etc and they don't necessarily come cheap. Besides, this is an 8-core (octa-core) processor with speed clocked at 2.0GHz, how many high-end phones can even beat this for now? It's display resolution is 1080p & amoled (most phones are of 720p & IPS). With 2GB RAM & 16GB storage, I mean what more can u ask for? These are the same specs in samsung galaxy s4 & 5 sold for over a 100k. Pls, let's be more realistic. In my opinion, it is a great phone! The greatest tecno has made so far & I think it's going to fly and even most of the people on this forum will buy - cos they are the Tecno mobile warriors!! ![]() |
UrbanMystique: 70thousand for a tecno mediatek phoneYes.... but judging from the specs of the phone, don't think it could be less and also compared to its peers. ![]() |
Tecno Mobile has just taken another giant and remarkable leap in the world of android battle with its latest octa-core android 4.4.2 KitKat powered mobile phone - Phantom Z. The uniquely designed device features a whooping 5.2-inch, corning gorilla glass protected high definition Amoled display, rendering 16million colours at a resolution of 1920x1080 (kind of display found on high-end Samsung Galaxy phones). The amazing and latest smart watch – Moto 360 in the mobile industry by Motorola has just been demoed 2days ago at the Google IO (Google Conference). The uniquely designed circular smart watch with steel case and leather bands (which makes it look more like a conventional wrist watch) and running the Google Android Wear (Android-based mobile OS by Google for smart watches and wearables) is definitely a key device to watch-out for and own as soon as it is launched. The unique design of the smart watch makes it stand out from the also impressive class of Samsung Gears, Sony Smart Watches, Pebble Steel and LG G Watch, which are all more or less square-shaped. The Moto 360 features a circular OLED (Organic Light-emitting Diode) which appears to be more energy efficient compared to LCDs and also coupled with Motorola’s power-saving mode – which is an analog watch displayed on a black background as screensaver. The screen display is prompted by either a press on the control side button or a soft touch on the screen, to reveal series of amazing functionalities behind the hood of this great device. Other features of the Moto 360 include – - Weather information - Calendar and Reminders (Birthdays, Airports, Appointments etc.) - Navigation functions - Notifications bar strip (for Google Hangout notifications and others) - Voice Search - Several custom watch faces to choose from - And most importantly, accepting and rejecting calls. faakay: it is not good to come and tarnish the image of your employer publicly.Yes, the OP might have ranted as a result of direct impact of the company's malpractices, am sure you would do worse if it was you besides you sound like one of those back-stabbers cited in the text. |
From the few responses I cud read so far, I cud deduce that the lady in question has an axe to grind. She is not sincere & open enough to her husband. Tribalism or speaking local dialects here is not the contention but he has reasons not to trust you & I cannot vouch for you either from your explanations so far. May be you are one of those ladies who take men for fools & feel so smart than everyone else. Not everyone can take it. Some men have excellent tolerance level & some just dont have it. You should be more careful, open & trustworthy. He will be more comfortable with you. He loves you thats why he appears jealous. It is not the language, it Is you & trust. Thank you |
Pt Blank: @all.You must be an agent! Nice piece. Poor customer service is a reflection of some of our failures as a country. You all know exactly what I mean. No need to mention the customer service agents' welfare, its unimaginable! Its a failed state we run, we will continue to have setbacks as a result of our negative action or inaction. Except the country is made better... |
