PMB has only four years to rule, am sure he may not contest beyond 2019, he should not waste time, energy, efforts probing the previous administration, doing that will also affect him and his party. After all, APC is made up of defectors, who have ruled almost all of their tenures as PDP members.
Maybe he thinks 4 years is too much to achieve all what he promised, probing anybody now is like a waste of time. Its going to be counter-productive.

I may not be politically inclined or comment much on this section as I detest Nigerian politics but truth be told, Barcanista is the best political analyst on Nairaland. His thread are well articulated and well referenced. One can easily confirm everything he writes, I think the reason why APC loyalists bad mouth him is simply because he was one of them before leaving when they least expected it, and they can't seem to stomach it.
