Five Good Foods That Help In Improving Eye Health

Many people are currently battling with sight threatening diseases that could have been prevented by eating foods that are good for the eyes. Eating a nutrient-rich diet may help to prevent sight diseases and promote healthy eyes.Adequate consumption of the following foods can help prevent eye related diseases such as vision loss, cataracts. dry eyes and challenges with night vision.

1. Dark Green Leafy Vegetables

https://chop4naija.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/vegetables-300x199.jpg.

Dark green vegetables such spinach ,dark green lettuce and collard greens help prevent eye diseases such as macular degeneration - a condition which causes progressive damage to the retina , leading to gradual loss of vision. These dark green vegetables contain lutein and zeaxanthin which are know to be important nutrients that help prevent cell damage.

2. Sweet Potatoes

https://chop4naija.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/potato-07.jpg

This great food has over 400 percent of our daily needs for Vitamin A as well as loads of potassium and fiber. The presence of Vitamin a in sweet potatoes makes it an essential food for the eyes. Vitamin A helps protect the surface of the eye (cornea) and very effective in the treatment of dry eyes. They also contain an enzyme called beta-carotene which is equally good for the eyes.

3. Carrot

https://chop4naija.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Carrot-300x184.jpg

Carrot is known to have many health benefits. Apart from the role it plays in improving sexual performance, this great food also helps in promoting overall eye health. Carrots are rich in beta-carotene - a carotenoid pigment found in vegetables and fruits , a substance from which Vitamin A is formed. Lack of vitamin A may lead to blindness, consumption of carrots and sweet potatoes help in reducing the risk of blindness.

4.Beans

https://chop4naija.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/bean.jpg

Eating beans also help in preventing the deterioration of the macula at the center of the retina. It add Zinc to your diet which helps in releasing Vitamin A from the liver for proper usage in the eye tissues. So if you are not a fan of beans, It's high time you join the beans club.lol

5. Eggs

https://chop4naija.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Raw-eggs.jpg

Just like in the case of dark green leafy vegetables above, egg yolks are also known to be rich in lutein and zeaxanthin, two important nutrients that help prevent cell damage. The yolk also contain Zinc which also helps in reducing the risk of macular degeneration. Two eggs a day won't pose as a threat to your cholesterol level.

Just like what I was telling a dude yesterday on another thread, women can not be trusted.

Even the one you regard as wife may have another boo outside shinning her Kongo...

The probability of having a faithful woman as a wife these days is 0.00001.

Lol, from your post i can see that you don't know women and yet to understand them...

You can only know a woman's past and present, what she will become tomorrow can't be predicted....

We've seen a church girl of yesterday that turned olosho today, and we've seen an olosho of yesterday that turned church girl of today...

Don't let a woman fool you....

None

I prefer a normal girl in between.

Speaking from experience,

The probability that a church girl was an ex olosho is very high.

Also the probability that a club girl is a current olosho is also very high.

Just go for some one you are comfortable with her past , ok with her present and can predict her future.

datz All.
Can predict a woman's future ? are you from planet earth ?

Your observation is just the reality @op.

Majority of us are too localised and don't have good idea of what's happening in other sides outside our locality, aside for reasonable amount of Easterners who leave their enclaves for opportunities (and not even to understand the people and the places they move to). I believe this is one thing that should be checked to have a better unified country, especially the SW people. Met a graduate some years back who has never stepped outside Lagos since he was born. Moving in a 999.6 km² space for over 20 years. sad It's a major reason tribalism, intolerance etc still exist.
Thank you sir for your input.

Dummy you just shot yourself in the foot. Let's find out who's gullible between you and me.

If that write up wasn't written out of research and therefore some make up stuff,

What prompt you to come post it on here, in order words making a repetition of lies?

From my dictionary, Gullible means an act of repetition of absurdities. So from my premise above.

You a perfect definition of GULLIBLE.
Didinrin, in your small mind, a write-up can't be written out of the writer's experience or observation.Imagine the quality of
graduates we produce in this country.

This is the reply you get when dummies brain is overloaded with what they can't comprehend.

Stick with your basic 3 type of composition write up.
Still defending your gullibility ? The write-up was not written out of research rather it was written out of the op personal experience, so why the need for literature review ?Like I said earlier, go seek for a refund of your tuition fees.

You even ignorant of what project work is now listen up.

Project work otherwise known as scientific research or project research emcompasses all applied steps to making your research in culture and religion diversity in whatever demography or in relation to ethnicity.

Now for online and blog purpose, people don't follow the required steps to save time and all, they just put out the comprehensive literature review and come out with a conclusion.

But yours was like that of a basic 3 student learning to write composition essay. I'm not trying to badmouth you but pep you up for a better write up tomorrow so work on yourself.
You are not making any sense dude. Please go ask for a refund of your tuition fees from your alma mater

I would swerve on the account you don't know what literature review is. Your write up just proved that.
Literature review ? Are you kidding me ? Like i want to publish a scholarly article on INDA Scientific journal right? ... Gerarararahia here mehn..

His point was actually quite clear and can be summarized as follows:

Nigerians are blissfully ignorant about other parts of the country, which is why the unexposed northerner thinks the East is a barren wasteland full of criminals, and the average easterner thinks the North is one huge undeveloped swathe of desert filled with almajiri's.
Don't mind the dude.

If you submit this for a project work, its zero, I couldn't even understand the point you hammering on, Is it culture? Is it religion diversity or both?

No clarity at all, ended up confusing me with traveling.
So you will submit a write-up of 500+ words as a project work in the University right ? So you expect me to come up with a lengthy post before you can grab the point...

Dude, swerve jor..

Understanding Nigeria's Cultural, Ethnic and Religious Diversity.

A couple of years ago during my undergraduate programme at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. I came across a lady whose naivety amazes me. This lady happens to be a daughter to a professor in UNN. How did i get to know her ? Every lion and lioness will bear me witness that for you to scale through some courses in the faculty of physical sciences, you must be a fan of night classes.Yours sincerely was part of those students who don't joke with night class.

As usual, i was in a night class on a particular day when this lady walked in and sat down next to me. From the look of things, she came to study and prepare for the semester examination. Suddenly, my phone rang and i was using an Islamic song as a ringtone, the call came from a good friend in Lagos. After receiving the call, the next thing i heard was a question popping out of this lady. She asked " What kind of song did i use as my ringtone ? ", I replied " An Islamic song". I never knew i was in for a lot of questions.

She was very surprised to see a Muslim. To her, it was the first time in her life to come across a Muslim. She continued her questions by asking if we also have a priest in our mosque just like the way they have it in their catholic church. Questions like, Are you a Hausa man? Because to some people in the eastern part of Nigeria, only Hausas are Muslims in Nigeria. Do you also have reverend fathers in your mosque?

Although, i was surprised to see a grown-up Nigerian asking such questions but i won't blame her. All her life, she has never lived or travelled outside Nsukka. Her primary, secondary and tertiary education were all obtained at Nsukka. I hope NYSC threw her out of Nsukka to serve her fatherland, that is if she does not influence the posting to Nsukka.

Why am i saying all this? Many Nigerians don't know Nigeria beyond their state of origin or state of residence. I know a guy in Lagos who once argued that all the people living in Delta state are Igbos.
The other day on a television programme, a man was making comments about the Northern part of Nigeria as if all the dwellers of the north are Hausa/Fulani, forgetting that the north consists of many ethnic groups.

Many Nigerians are guilty of this act, many can't even name twenty ethnic groups in Nigeria without mentioning Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba. We all need to travel outside our comfort zones on vacation , perhaps on excursion to other part of the country/continent so as to know other cultures. You don't want to live your entire life in one location and be talking out of ignorance on some important topics.

Let me end this epistle with the words of St.Augustine, the world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.
