[b]When Asaba Airport was conceived it was based on the gross commercial activities in Onitsha and Asaba and the airport became busy from the go. Warri and Port Harcourt Airports served the various Oil Companies etc.[b]

I beg to differ, how about Enugu and Imo airports these two airports are the busiest in domestic Airlines after Abuja, PH and Lagos? These two airports handles three Airlines daily: Air peace, Arik, Chanchangi, while Akure and Ibadan handles Just one flight each in a week, my opinion South westerns are not entreprise, low income earners is on high side in the West, same with land transport and halage business only Lagos is lucrative other western routes are not
We are saying the same things. There is no commerce, so no need for the airport.

This is the worst Headies ever, poor organization with obvious avoidable mistakes. Poor attendance, very poor audios and stage management What style is handing over the award envelope right on stage?. The prestige is seriously fading. Maybe they should scrap the award or look for corporate sponsorship rather than continue this award show in this manner. My personal opinion.

I hope the governor sees reasons and drop the idea.
PoliticsThe Needless Ekiti Airport Project by coolrose(op): 12:52am On Oct 17, 2015
Thinking about the proposed Ekiti Airport project. What is the economic importance of having an Airport in Ekiti at this time?
Is that the next priority at the moment? Considering the barrage of issues the state need to solve. Will it in any way create massive employment for the teeming youth that will commensurate with the investment?
Is the reason for the airport just for Ekiti to be counted as having an Airport or just for the governor and government officials to fly hired aircraft to their destinations? Will it ultimately generate revenue for the state or deplete its resources after commissioning?
What exactly is the idea behind this project?

I remember Fayemi was massively criticized for building a government house and the project was called a waste. So this one nko?

Let's think about this empirically, there is an Airport in Akure which to the best of my knowledge cannot be called functional since over 15 years of its existence.
Now, assuming the reason for this airport is to ease transportation to Ekiti, the distance from Akure Airport to Ado Ekiti is approximately 1 hours, the distance from the proposed Ekiti Airport to Ado Ekiti is approximately 45minutes. Do we need an Airport just to safe 15minutes?

What is the state of the state owned Ekiti Kete Transport Company at the moment? Do we even have a single air conditioned bus today? Why can't this be fixed to ease transportation and create employment? How many of the poor citizens of ekiti will be able to travel by air once the airport is completed?

If Fayose does not complete this project before he leaves office will the next governor share the same vision or abandon the project? Tinapa project in cross river state comes to mind.

Osun state ran into problems partly because of this type of airport project which was not required or healthy for the meagre available resources of the state and I hope this will not be replicated in Ekiti.

We have seen lots of Airports built in other states that ended up under utilised examples are Akure and Ibadan Airports.
Airport projects should be envisioned based on commercial potentials not in anticipation of unforeseen commerce.
What does Ekiti have commercially or tourism wise now that warrant an Airport?

When Asaba Airport was conceived it was based on the gross commercial activities in Onitsha and Asaba and the airport became busy from the go. Warri and Port Harcourt Airports served the various Oil Companies etc.

If only the budget for this proposed project could be spent most wisely to improve commerce and let the project come later. Unemployment and poverty is one of the most humongous problems of the state as so many youths are just not able get any reasonable employment unless they go out of the state.

Is there any regulatory body for these guys?
BusinessDealdey Online Store Is A Scam by coolrose(op): 10:46am On Jun 04, 2015
Please which body regulates the activities of online stores in Nigeria?

I had a transaction with dealdey online store since 9th April with order number #14286060641587 which were purchased and paid for since 9th April 2015. The order was to be delivered within 10 days. I later found out that these items were never available with dealdey and they remained advertised on the website for more than 1 month. After several calls and demands I was told the orders are no longer available and that a refund would be effected and that I need to write an email for the refund to be effected within 7 days. I have since written this email since 18th May 2014. My online wallet account with them have been wiped clean and I have made several calls and written over 17 emails to no avail. Till now, no products and no refund. Please how can this impunity be addressed?
