you wouldn't except you see the pack or get to handle the device. You wouldn't even be able to spot the difference if they dropped the devices side by side. The things to look out for tho are it has a 1.2ghz quad core processor instead of the 1.0 dual core on the F7 and the android version is 4.2.1 instead of the 4.1.1 version on the F7. Those are the only differences. Every other thing is the same

TrebleChamp: Lol, even tecno website dey give confusing spec at times. On a sewious note if phantom A+ uses d outdated dualcore mtk6577 cpu, then tecno is losing it.

obviously its an update to the F7. I think they must have corrected the blunder they made by using an outdated chip on the f7.

Pimples: I'll really want to know. How do u guys manage to pocket / carry a device this big. This is a major hindrance for me as far as this Phone is concerned. Cause an expensive Phone like this should always be in my pocket especially when I'm @ a busy place eg. Bus-stop, or at night. I would not want LAGOS agbero to slap me and collect the Phone by force. So is the Phone pocketable?
Or will I need to always hold it?
(I always wear jeans or pant trousers)

lmao it's just a 5" phone. Yes it fits comfortably in the pants pocket. Even phablets fit in pockets

you don't need a blackberry phone to subscribe to the plan. Even if you put the sim in nokia torch you will be activated. All you need do is change your access point to blackberry.net

just txt BBC to 21600 and you will be activated instantly. All you need do is to change your apn to blackberry.net and you're good to go

i use the mtn bbc plan. Costs 1000 and has a fair usage limit of 3gb but the truth is that its off and on. Sometimes it won't connect but 70% of the time it works fine. I have never regretted leaving the blackberry os trust me

..- TAIWAN MADE MTK CHIPSETS - this SoC chipset is the worst out there and is so cheap that the likes of exynos .,tegra, snapdragon, cortex a series are more than 5- 10 times costlier depending on the design. Samsung and other viable phone production companies never use this chipet to make their highend and midend phones instead they use them in making their low end phones

you might be thinking what is the difference between them and

you'll find out that some apps eg c4droid is optimized for other chipsets excluding mtk because of their low quality and power. android is more powerful than just mere gaming and browsing samsung knows that but china want to make more money of ignorant people hence they sell you crap and you rejoice that you have a phone.smh

.. when Samsung tells you you phone is capacitive it is sure CAPACITIVE but these chinese guys tell
you that your phone is capacitive when some other objects can easily operate the screen other than your fingers. those are just enhanced resistive touchscreens another hardware robbery. cost wise those screens are way cheaper than the original Capacitive ones.
others are screen protection, developers support(go find tecno for xda na!), nfc etc.. my two cents!!

Lord Orochimaru: After all the argument, Those with F7 won't throw it away...please someone should list compatible HD games without lag on the F7 so we don't waste data. I know for sure PES 12, GTA 3 and FiFA 12 work fine on it...I currently have temple runOz( my best game) FL commando, subway surf and a few others...F7 is a good phone for its price value and I don't regret taking it over Gionee or Jiayu though only the Best is good enough

GTA vice city, nfs most wanted, MC4 (meltdown update), pes 13, all angry birds versions, Asphalt 7 heat... Any game you can lay your hand on should work fine on it

I know for a fact that Mobo player does that. What about the other features that I mentioned: MULTI WINDOW, SMART ALERT, SMART STAY, MOTION, DRIVING MODE etc. .. . I heard a lot of F7 users ask whether there are third party apps that can help them to take SCREENSHOTS of their phones. Some people suggested pressing the POWER button with other keys. But with Grand Duos, you only SWIPE your palm across the screen, and your screenshot will be taken under MOTION feature. I listed all these features in response to YOU who said F7 is better than Grand Duos by a WIDE MARGIN. So who started this? Was it not people like you? (Tecno fans). And till now, YOU have not been able to say which areas F7 is better than Grand Duos. I have listed a lot of features. So YOU should stop the comparison and enjoy your F7. You can call them SAMSUNG CRAP. I have them on my Grand and I'm really ENJOYING them. You don't have those features on your F7, so you don't know how they come handy. I've bought four (4) Tecno phones (which I listed in my earlier post) but I've never seen such features.

you keep listing software and calling it features but well as the saying goes don't argue with a dumb person. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

the sound quality is bad because you're using earphones that isn't compatible with the device. What happened to those your phone came with? Use those and you'll get good audio quality. They're really good and fit perfectly in the ear so i don't know why you wouldn't use them and opt for Samsung earphones

Blewusi: IGNORANCE? Hahahahaaaa! Those features are SOFTWARE as you rightly said, but they're SAMSUNG SOFTWARE. This is what makes Samsung stand TALL and No. 1 in the whole world when it comes to smart phones. Those features are NOT part of the Android stock, otherwise Tecno should have them on their phones. Do they? So who is IGNORANT here? Somebody said he can have those features by installing third party apps, and I only threw a CHALLENGE that he should MENTION the names of those apps on google play store that can perform those features, but as at the time I'm reading your post, nobody has mentioned any name. Samsung has just released Android 4.2.2 update for Grand Duos (not officially though, because it is a TEST ROM that has been leaked). And people have installed it MANUALLY and it's working fine. I'm waiting for the OFFICIAL RELEASE (OTA). It's stock Android. Install it on your F7 and see whether it'll work. Once again, who is "showcasing his IGNORANCE" here?

ok to get pop up play download bsplayer from playstore tho its the free version and has ads. Try it out 1st and i could send you the link to the pro version if you ask nicely. I'll get you more apps that can do all those Samsung crap you listed later and much more.

EA Games decided against developing FIFA13 on android. So don't even bother looking for a cracked version. You won't find any.
