NB: Don't ask me how to flash you should know that by now if you don't you probably shouldn't be looking for the patch in the 1st place.

Promised to make a patch for those experiencing charging issues on miui. Haven't really had time to work on it due to Xmas activities. Hopefully it should be ready tomorrow. Thanks for the wait

Stevengold: You don't need your phone to be rooted; provided it can go into the recovery mood of your phone, ur good to go. And please after porting the MUIM ROM, don't try rooting, its automatically roots ur phone. If there's any other problem plz feel free to lay your complains.

just flash the phantom A patch in recovery

Wonder why a lot of ppl always tend to confuse boot_logo with boot.img.


Boot_logo: The 1st image your phone displays when starting up before the boot animation.


Boot.img: This usually contains the ramdisk and contains instructions on how your phone starts up and loads applications and stuff

lol actually it's called boot_logo not boot image. Boot image is an entirely different thing

of course before you can flash custom roms you need to be rooted and have a custom recovery installed.

bily: I decided to try the miui rom. I like the built in system tools. I have not had the need to install dxtool box.
I tried doing ota update but it reboots to cwm and I get error signature verification fails. what could be the problem? must I use a special cwm for miui? cos I made my own cwm using mtkdroid tools and I used it to backup and flash miui successfully.

I also thought the miui was based on Android 4.3, it's still on 4.2.1

your phone isn't an official Xiaomi device so naturally MIUI OTA updates wont work for you unless you do a port or use an unofficial version. Its has nothing to do with your cwm recovery and btw MIUI is based on android 4.2 not 4.3. Any 4.3 MIUI you see is a build.prop mod

delete it and install the official version and sign in and verify your number. Afterwards uninstall it and reinstall whatsapp holo plus and all should be fine

Finished the 3.12.21 miui full rom port. Everything works fine except the radio which I'll fix later. The all in one security app is awesome. The yellow pages and video app is great too

Stevengold: What you have to do is install a boot logo of samsung, then go download to MIUI theme to change the boot animation, mine worked that way. And its charging while off, but the boot logo ish I've not been able to get a stable one aside samsung.

Save yourself the stress. Just flash the UI OF LIFE BOOT Patch and all will be fine

You will have to do the rom port yourself or wait till someone does and uploads

Doesn't matter long as you're rooted and have a custom recovery installed (CWM/TWRP/DAVIS...) you can flash custom roms

I hardly flash OTA except i lack data or due to bad network. Trust me there's nothing like flashing the full rom

the radio wont work unless you replace the lib audio files. If you dunno how to go about that maybe i'll make a patch for the miui radio and upload later. Mine works fine. Did the port myself anyway

Exactly!. Reinstall little big city and asphalt 6 should work fine

you must have uninstalled little big city and wonder zoo and they must be installed for asphalt 6 to run.

shogz89: I downloaded the 3.11.29 two days ago then instead of it updating automatically, it took me to recovery and told me to install zip from untrusted source... That was when I stopped had reboot my phone...even though I was planning redownloading it,, suspected something wrong,, thanks bro

The full rom or the OTA? I did the full rom port and everything works fine.

jaysleem: Bro, if u do use greenify I would advice you don't upgrade to 3.12.21 because it crashes greenify so badly. I had to downgrade and after installing that update.

Perhaps you should do/use a full rom port not an OTA update

the only bug am aware of is the com.googleprocess error in the gallery which is negligible. Every other thing should work fine
