Glory to God! About time life-transforming entertainment content takes center stage.
For too long, movies and music of no eternal value had reigned and damned many people. Mount Zion Television is only the first of many channels God'll use to save people.

You're probably hurting and feeling the emptiness. Could be why you strongly feel the need to debunk everything about God. Open up to Him, you'll experience life on a whole new level.

How do you fill material with the spiritual?

If your window breaks at home do you replace it with a spiritual one?
"The hole in heart" analogy is metaphorical, I didn't mean it literally. The point of the piece is that we're incomplete without God; and we'll continue to feel some "emptiness" without God.

Why not take up that responsibility? The little you have can go a long way. We're all called to be 'little Christs', and that's what He would do. Just thinking aloud, like you say.

Romance"What We Would Do If Our Boyfriends Proposed With Cheap Rings" - Young Ladies by cooltobex(op): 6:53pm On Mar 19, 2016
Hi peeps, y'all doing all right? I read this story on Encomium.ng and thought I should share.

My first thoughts:
"Life is not always about where you start, but how you end up; I think this message needs to be impressed on our young ladies, especially when it comes to marriage.

"The big names we hear of today are people who delayed gratification in order to get what mattered more at some point in their lives.

"And like we know, you either pay today, and play tomorrow; or play today and pay tomorrow. The choice is yours!"
---
THE STORY
The rapid growth of technology and the social media has given room for a lot of exposure and avenues to show off.
Most young people live and breathe the social media, hence the need to show off any newly acquired item and daily activities to get popularity on social media.
Social Media platforms like Instagram and snap chat are currently the happening platforms.
It was reported recently that a lady rejected the engagement ring with which her boyfriend of three years proposed to her because the stone on the ring wasn’t big enough and that the ring was too cheap, and also she had to meet up with the standard she had set for herself on her social media accounts. So, showing a cheap ring with a small stone will not make her trend
online.
Popular wedding blogs like Bellanaija and Wedding Digest are known to feature romantic proposals and beautiful rings.
In fact, there is a belief that if you are featured in the websites or social media pages of any of the wedding blogs, you automatically become cool, popular then gain
more followers and likes. This had made a lot of ladies go crazy about the kind of rings they get proposed with.
So, ladies begin to hint their boyfriends on the type of rings they want by showing them samples on the internet. Some ladies also go to the extent of buying their own engagement rings.

Encomium.ng did a search speaking with young ladies and asking them what they would do if their boyfriend proposed with a cheap ring and if the price or size of a ring equals the love a man has for his woman,
and we sure got a lot of interesting views…

Christianity EtcI Know A Man With A Hole In His Heart by cooltobex(op): 6:11pm On Mar 19, 2016
I know a man suffering from a very critical condition - he has a hole in his heart. A quite sizeable one.

He has tried filling it with different things; they seem to fit, filling it up for a while, only to come off, sadly. And he suffers because of it, crying silently.

He tried hard work, thinking it would fill the hole in his heart. He worked hard and hard. He rose to the top of the ladder; he achieved immense success, fame and influence. Yet the hole wasn't filled. He suffered on...

He tried money. "Ah ha," he thought, "I've finally nailed it!". Was he rich? Very! All he had to do to get what he desired was imagine it. But unfortunately, money didn't fill the hole; he suffered still...

He tried food. He gorged himself. He tried various delicacies from all parts of the world. He could afford it, he was rich after all. It didn't fill the hole, he suffered on...

He tried sex. He indulged himself. He tried and even invented new styles. He allowed his imagination run wild. At this point, he was pretty confident he had finally cracked it. But it didn't fill the hole he later realised. He suffered on...

He tried relationships. He loved and was loved back. He gave his heart; he did not hold back. He let go of all inhibitions. For a while it seemed that, at long last, the hole was filled. The wheels came off, sadly, again. Relationships didn't fill the hole, he suffered on...

He tried charity. He thought, "that has to be the point of life". He donated hugely for good causes including to orphanages; medical research centres; rehab homes; for child and mother care; and the likes. Yet, the hole wasn't filled. He suffered on...

Despite the man's best efforts, he was missing it all along. Many of us are like this man - we're looking for that missing piece that'll make us feel complete. Mankind lost that completing piece of the jigsaw at the fall - that piece that makes every other piece work and make man a "living being" (Gen. 2:7)

"What", you ask? It's that connection to our source! Mankind lost touch with his source - his creator - at the fall. Thus, we were all born with a vacuum in our hearts - a God-sized one - that only His Spirit can fill.

Just as rivers, streams and other smaller bodies of water have a source, so too do humans. God's the sole creator of all life, including humans. We can't exist without and outside of Him.

"A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men" (Proverbs 18:16).

- First, DISCOVER the gift (s) and talent (s) God endowed you with!

We all have, at least, one gift (Matthew 25:14-15; Ephesians 4:7), no one is 'talentless'; you probably haven't discover what it is!

But as precious stones are not found on the surface, so is your talent; you may have to dig. So dig. Not into the ground this time, but in you!
You are a big box of potential, open you up!
Your talent is your key to an amazing life; so go, find your treasure!

- DEVELOP it with DILIGENCE until you become GREAT at it!

Your talent will most likely be in a raw unrefined state and won't be of much value to anyone!
It's not enough to just discover your talent, you have develop it with diligence (which I like to define as consistent hard work).
So, polish, refine and develop your talent - that's when it becomes of real value to anybody.

- Put it in the FINEST PACKAGE!

Get an education! Take a course! Read books! Renew your mind! Learn selling and marketing skills! Cultivate leadership and management skills! Live by God's precepts!
To really grow outward, you have to grow inward.
There are probably many other people who can do what you do, and they are possibly more gifted; in what packaging are you presenting yours?

- Be motivated by Jesus Love!

This is the final ingredient that makes it all complete!
Let your every action be driven by love - love for God and for people!
Without love, we'll all be a greedy and self-centred bunch. Without love, we'll cheat our way through, while beating others down. Without love, our drive would be to "maximise profit", every other thing would take a back seat!
Use your talent to serve God and people, and see the world make room for you!

Christianity EtcChoose Forgiveness, Not Revenge by cooltobex(op):
Admittedly, it's hard to look into the eyes of someone who has hurt you and say "I forgive you", and actually mean it. The natural human reaction to hurt is to strike
back; but that's the easy route! Everyone is capable of that, how about you try forgiveness!

Forgiveness is not natural to us humans, it's alien nature - we've become imperfect beings. It is an attitude that we have to learn and deliberately cultivate. The flawed human nature is rooted in "an eye for an eye" and "a limb for a limb", which would leave us blind and incapacitated eventually.

Why should I forgive, I have been really hurt you know? You might be thinking. Let's consider some reasons, shall we?
Contrary to what some would have you believe, forgiveness is not weakness, it's a sign of strength! As earlier highlighted, the easy route is to seek revenge - it's cheap!

Reach higher, try forgiveness! Weak people
seek revenge, they tell themselves, 'I can't help how I feel'. Strong people, yes are hurt, but take charge of their emotions, they say to themselves 'I am better than this', 'I am in control of my emotions'.
Also, when you let go of the hurt and allow the urge for revenge fizzle, and even take it a notch higher by praying for that person, you've frustrated the devil's plan! All the devil wants is to steal your joy, kill your
inner peace and destroy your relationships - never be ignorant of that. Harbouring revenge in your heart will achieve these.
Another reason we should forgive is you break the cycle of hate in the world when you do! We complain that the world is full of hate, but what do we do when we are on the receiving end of that hate? We just prove
that, indeed, the world's full of hate by inflicting pain on others in the name of revenge! What that does is that it continues the cycle of hate in the world, which could potentially consume us all. That's not to say we should allow people step on our toes, no! But our actions should never be driven by revenge.
How about you decide today that by reason of your life, there would be one less hateful person in the world who'll not repay evil with evil! How about taking a stand to try as much as possible to pour love into the world
by repaying evil with good!

Importantly also, when you forgive, you'd be emulating the perfect ways of Jesus (1 Peter 2:23) - oh, what our world would be if we all could imbibe Jesus' principles! - and, ultimately, obeying God (Romans 12:17).
Honestly, it can be difficult. Forgiveness is a big ask! But the exciting news is it's possible!
We can all attain that level of inner peace and resolve that we would not lose it over anyone and their actions!

How? We must understand that forgiveness is a sign and result of maturity - emotional, mental and spiritual! To be able to keep those boiling emotions in check, and instead, go on your knees and pour out your
heart to God over the pain only comes when you mature! And growth is the pathway to maturity; growth is a process, maturity is a state. That kind of growth is only possible with God's help. I have to be deliberate,
yes. I have to work pretty hard, yes. I have to be determined, yes. But without God's help, I've signed up for frustration. Without His help, I'd be limited. Admit you need help and look up to God. Indeed, He gives strength to the weak (Isaiah 40:29), and He'll fill your heart with love (Romans 5:5); guard your heart with peace (Philippians 4:7), and give you joy (Isaiah 61:3).

Additionally, you need a change of perspective! First, understand that humans have become flawed beings.
We are the personification of imperfection and flaws!

Also, rather than feel hate towards people who hurt you, feel compassion for them. And look for ways to try and help them. They are probably hurting, too. And remember, hurting people hurt others. Of course, that
doesn't give them the right to hurt you, but it's just what our world has become.

On a final note, you might be wondering, so people who cause others pain will go scot-free? Nah, they won't. You must understand how the world works. It is not in your place to ensure people receive the reward for their actions. The bible remarkably notes that whatever a person SOWS, same he shall REAP. The universe is governed by immutable laws, and one of such laws is the law of SOWING and REAPING. If someone has hurt you, please release them in your heart.

Do not TRAP yourself with all that negative energy. And if they refuse to become better persons, in due time they will meet their doom, with or without your intervention. So do not wait for the person to come asking for it, forgive as quickly as possible - whether
they ask or not; whether they realise and admit their faults or not. You'll be doing yourself a world of good!

DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR! Release that energy from your heart, it's negative - forgive! Yes, it's difficult, but it's possible!

Christianity EtcHere's why The Bible is the world's book of answers! by cooltobex(op): 6:13pm On Mar 13, 2016
The Bible, indeed, is a practical manual for life! It is not some book written by people who lived in Space or some other world; about people, things and events in that world, and thus not applicable to earth, no!

People in flesh and blood (like you and I) were inspired by God to pen the Scriptures. Their personal experiences, fears, weaknesses, imperfections, hope, victories, mindset, beliefs and confidence shine through in the words. This makes the Bible very relatable!

This is why it hurts when some say the Bible is not realistic and not applicable to these times. Frankly, I think it's the most realistic book! Yes, God understands our flaws, and He knows what to expect from us individually and collectively (He created us after all). He understands our limitations, yet holds us to a particular standard. He won't edit or dilute His word for anyone or anything!
As the Scripture notes, the bible is "profitable...for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness..." that you and I may be perfect!
In His Word, you find practical answers to your heart's questions, here are a few...

How should we worship God?
In truth and in spirit! (John 4:24).

How should I love?
Sacrificially; as Christ, giving myself (John 15:12-13).

How can a young person live an amazing life?
By taking heed according to God's Word! (Psalm 119:11).

How can a man be the perfect husband?
By loving his wife with all of him; the way Christ loves His Church! (Ephesians 5:25).

How can a woman be the ideal wife?
By submitting to her husband the way the Church (especially the early Church) does to Christ! (Ephesians 5:22).

How can a businessperson rise to the very top and dominate?
By being diligent (consistently hardworking) in his work! (Proverbs 12:24; 22:29).

How can an employee rise to the top of the ladder?
Study; know your job, develop key skills (1 Timothy 2:15)

How should you discharge your duty at work?
With sincerity (Ephesians 6:5-8 ).

How can a child have the best life?
By honouring his (or her) father and mother! (Ephesians 6:1-3).

What kind of offering does God require of us?
Holy and living sacrifice! (Romans 12:1).

What should a person lacking wisdom do?
Ask (James 1:5), fear the Lord (Proverbs 9:100) and heed His word (Psalm 19:7-8 ).

How should we resolve issues among us?
First, talk it over with the affected person (s), only involve a third party if it lingers! (Matthew 18:15-17).

How many times should I forgive?
No limits, as many times as the offence! As long as you are hurt, forgive (Matthew 18:21-22, Luke 17:3).

How should I dress?
Modestly, not flamboyant; in a way that is fitting for your brand as God's child! (1 Timothy 2:9-10).

How often should I pray?
Always; without ceasing (Luke 18:1).

How should I respond to an angry and vengeful person?
With a soft answer (Proverbs 15:1).

How do you lead the people in your care?
With integrity and skill (Psalm 78:72).

How best to deal with people - great and small?
Treat them the way you'd like to be treated (Matthew 22:38).

What can I do to never miss my way in life?
Let God's Word be your compass (Psalm 119:105).

How should a man deal with his wife?
Carefully; with understanding (1 Peter 3:7).

How do I make meaning of my life?
Discover what lies on your inside! (Proverbs 18:16).

How do I gain eternal life?
Be reborn by His Spirit! (John 3:3-8 ).

How do I consolidate my victory in Christ over the devil?
Put on the whole armour of God! (Ephesians 6:10-20).

How do I respond to fear, uncertainty and doubt?
Speak God's promises in faith (2 Corinthians 4:13; 1 Kings 8:56).

So whatever it is you're going through, the Bible is your best source for help!
It will - be your light in the dark; be a source of strength when you're weak; fill your heart with faith when you're afraid; provide direction when you're confused; birth joy in you when it's all seems gloomy; it's a book of answers, I call it The Solution!

Christianity EtcRe: Man Already Had The Knowledge Of Good & Evil Even Before He Ate The Fruit by cooltobex(m): 10:23pm On Nov 08, 2015
DoubleDeeX:
LOL y'all still think like Sunday school kids grin

What happened in the garden of Eden was fornication between Eve and the serpent! The product of that acts was Cain; that was why he had no light of God in him. Abel on the other hand was from Adam and Eve; it was a clear case of twins with different Fathers.

The serpent was created a homo-sapien like man but without godliness in him which was why Satan easily used him to deceive Eve into fornication. It was after the fall of man that God cursed the serpent and he became a snake crawling on it belly.

The fruit they ate wasn't an apple brother. The mouth Eve used is the one down there. She ate from the serpent and her husband the same day! That's why God frowns at sexual sin; it is what reduced us to what we are today. Sin took over the world in Gen 6 when the serpent seeds completely got mixed up with godly children in the lineage of Seth son of Adam which led to the destruction of the old world by water. The serpent seed in us still escaped through Noah, which was why we needed redemption from an uncorrupted and righteous man Jesus Christ (God in the flesh).

This was what Mother Eve actually did ;

Proverbs 30:20

Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.
Why I disagree with your submission: Adam and Eve were married, joined by God himself; so there's no way sex between them could have been a sin!
Also, only two humans were recorded to have been "created" by God - Adam and later Eve; there's no place in the scriptures where another "homo sapien" (as you put it) was recorded to have been created, I don't know where you got that idea from.
Again, after God created everything (man and all), he saw that it was "good", so there's no way he created a "homo sapien" (again, as you put it) without godliness (i.e a piece of God) in him.

I hope there has been an improvement inpower supply in other parts of this great nation, especially where you are. May God bless whoever is responsible for this and may he/she encounter constant supply of God's blessing through out 2015. I wish you constant power supply too if you are not having one currently. Hit like if there has been an improvement in power supply in your area.
I live somewhere in Lagos' capital city and for nearly over a week now, we have been enjoying between 18 - 21 hours of power daily. That's some upturn in fortune! Kudos to them! Though today, them no wan give us light!

Except for number one and maybe number two sometimes, every other points the OP listed ain't even peculiar to men.

Women nag and complain way more than we men, they also flirt a lot as well too, women are just as self-centered as men(it isn't peculiar to a gender). It is easier to trust the devil than trusing a woman, so women are more untrustworthy than men and errrrrrrrrm......................
I dey come sef, make I finish okpa wey I dey chop here.

What a silly thing to say! That it is easier to trust the devil than trust a woman...you clearly do not know who the devil is and what he is capable of! When the scriptures say 'we wrestle not against flesh and blood' what do you think it means?! Please, have sense for once! This is a new year!!!
