IjeBos: Both of your comments get back to my point. You don't live in the US and so have little understanding of it's culture. If you did you would understand the reference to both. But your frame of reference is what you get in your conservative ecosystem. So you can sit here and say the most offensive things to African Americans without any cultural sensitivity of the lives they actually live or trash Omar without understanding the hypocrisy of that vote. https://news.yahoo.com/marjorie-taylor-greene-tries-squirm-005914269.html "Dindu nuffin" really got you pressed. Funny thing is that I was saying it in reference to a white man. Also, MTG said some frankly insane things about Roger Kimmel, PG&E, and Rothschild Inc. While stupid, how did this become Jewish space lasers? Now, I won't be surprised if she actually said anti-Semitic stuff but this is a reach. |

IjeBos: It's odd, you drink from the well of people who hate people who look like you. And worse you spew their propaganda as if you think being around them they would see as that different/good Negro. Actually being Nigerian and the way they see Africa, they'd see you as some AIDS infected malnourished immigrant, from that shithole country. Good luck rationalizing to them you think it's a shithole country too. Why is it always about white people for you? You are obsessed with whitey. You believe that I think the way I do because of white people, while you do everything to toe the line of acceptable black thought because you won't be seen as pandering to whites. I don't care about their race, tribe, religion, gender, sexuality, or politics. As long as there's mutual respect, we can put our differences aside and vibe. All I care about is family and friends. Nigeria's leaders have always looked like us but they don't love us. The different tribes don't love each other. Christians don't love Muslims and vice versa. They use our different identities to pit us against each other. I don't care for it and I won't participate in the bullshxt. IjeBos: As to Ilhan Omar, what is your guiding thought process as thy she was kicked off the committee? Is it people who have said antisemitic things shouldn't have committee assignments? If so, explain why Ms. Jewish Space Lazer MTG and Mr. White National Gosar have committee assignments. I don't mind discussing with anyone. But those discussions have to be rooted in intellectual honesty. And a lot from the alt right sycophants seem to be rooted in simple sound bites. I know MTG is dumb asf but where did she mention "Jewish space lasers"? |

SlyFoxxEternal: But on a more serious note though, you raise some very important points. The media has gotten so polarized these days that almost every platform is radically aligned with one side either right or left. Nairaland is one of the few places you can still get a fair balance of opinions from people across the political spectrum and state your own opinions without fear of censorship. The only thing you have to fear, as you rightly pointed out, is getting scolded and belittled by these tyrannical Akata liberals who have zero tolerance for any opinion that does not fully comply with their radical leftist perspectives. Nairaland reminds me of the good old days of the internet. You can speak your mind and get the true pulse of the people. Where you can call someone a 'figgernaggot' and they'd just insult your mother in return, rather than get you banned and fired from your job. SlyFoxxEternal: I am honest about myself and where I stand. I am a staunch conservative and social traditionalist. I and very troubled by the increasing radicalization of the Democrat party especially on issues such as race, gender, education, entitlements and sexuality. I wouldn’t call myself a “Trumpist” but I supported him fully on policy - I never defended his personality but I feel liberals get unnecessary antsy about his silliness to the point of an irrational derangement and obsession which I always find funny. My favorite US President is Ronald Reagan and I am rooting for Ron DeSantis in 2024. I sincerely believe that the culture war is a distraction for both establishment Dems and Republicans use to score points with their supporters while the middle class continues to suffer. Kind of like how in Nigeria, the ruling class has divided us by tribe and religion so that we can elect the next murderous thief because of the name they give the Jewish deity that they follow. SlyFoxxEternal: These are my general political inclinations but I am never under any pretense that I know it all. I am willing to listen to anyone who can rebut any of my opinions calmly and respectfully without getting all emotional and abusive like a woman on a particularly heavy period and that is my major problem with the Akata liberals on this thread. They haven’t mastered the art of nuanced and civil debate. Probably because they know their ideas are so flawed they subconsciously try to compensate with unnecessary aggression. You have to understand that these people are used to screaming down their opposition along with a bunch of other like-minded people all while fully backed by the social media platform. Furthermore, some people have replaced their religion with leftist ideology. SlyFoxxEternal: Whatever the case I appreciate people like you who don’t fit in any box and can help bring a more balance perspective to this cesspool of a political thread. I have also noticed you get into fights with people on both sides but you are typically very respectful and tolerant in your engagements. That’s a good thing that a few people here could learn from you. I just don't have it in me to get too upset over comments by faceless people on the internet. Maybe it's because of my time on 4chan (mostly just the anime and comics boards) or whatever but I just don't really care if someone tells me to kill myself on the internet. Like, sometimes I'll find myself typing multiple paragraphs in response to an argument only to delete everything and drop a single joke and go somewhere else to talk about anime. Occasionally though, I do little trolling... |

wirinet: E surprise me o. That some Nigerians are so obsessed with drag queens, LGBTQ or whatever they call them, as if that is one of our problems as Africans. James Brown and Bobrisky are into it for business purposes. Others do it for japa purposes. Still others do it for ritual purposes (for wealth or for political power). There are very very few actual gays in Nigeria.
Our concerns should be the unfair trade practices whereby they force us to open our ports to their goods, while they close their to our own. They subsidize their agriculture so that food is cheap in their country, and tell us any type of subsidy for us is a taboo. They force us to produce agricultural food we don't eat to drive their industries at dirt cheap prices and sell us finished and processed foods at exorbitant prices. Uhhh, I actually support LGBT people. |

wirinet: You guys are so invested in right wing extremist concerns and ambitions that you completely forget your own. I mean issues that concerns you directly as a blackman. What concerns you with drag queen? Is drag queen even an issue in Nigeria? Yes colonialism is eaten deep into your soul and that of most Nigerians - European colonialism and Arab slavism. My kids don't even know what drag queen means before you even talk about seeing one.
I don't know what miracle can happen to raise black consciousness in black africans instead of thinking we are Europeans and Arabs. Thanks for proving my point. Why is there always a white man behind the scenes rubbing his palms and doing an evil laugh whenever you see something you don't like? Even if you think my opinions are wrong, you can't fathom the fact that I came to these conclusions on my own. However, I'm sure you're convinced that you came to your own conclusions independently, King Jaja of Opobo! |

SlyFoxxEternal: I swear it really baffles me. Let them go to Reddit or any of the other million online forms populated by Americans so they can feel at home. Why come to an Nigerian site and then try to make home based Nigerians feel small? The arrogance and audacity of these people ehn. The only about them that can make me feel small is their BMI. I like nairaland because it's not a censored leftist hugbox every other social media site or a neo-Nazi hellhole like 4chan's /pol/ board. You can actually have nuanced conversations here. Since my political views don't always align with the left or the right, I tend get into a lot of arguments. However, it's usually the people on the left who always seem to take things personally for some reason. |

SlyFoxxEternal: There is nothing more irritating than these idiotic Akata second class citizens who come on this NIGERIAN forum founded by a NIGERIAN based NIGERIAN citizen to admonish NIGERIANS for commenting their opinions on this very NIGERIAN forum. Are you people normal at all or you are just too daft to see the irony in what you’re doing? If you feel you are too good or too big to rub minds and hear opinions of NIGERIANS then what the fvck are you doing here?
Fvck off and go and start Dollarland.com with a strict “American citizens or American based Nigerians only” policy so you don’t have to worry about reading the opinions of home based Nigerians. You people are so irritating when you come with this your “do you even live here, have you ever been here” bullshit talk. You sound so fvcking juvenile. This is a NIGERIAN site and all NIGERIANs in every corner of the world are welcome to comment on any topic they like. If you can’t stand it then log off or better still; go kill yourself.

IjeBos: A lot of the things she says I agree with. I think the Jewish lobby has undue sway in the US largely because of money and I don't think it's Anti-Semitic to question US policy on Israel and Palestine. Trump can call a whole country like Nigeria a shit hole, where were you then? I call Nigeria a shithole everyday, can't get mad at the truth. Now lets look at Omar's highlights: “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.” 'Da jooz' control the media!!! “It’s all about the Benjamins baby,” in reference to AIPAC, a pro-Israeli lobbying group. Making illusions to Jewish money. Nice touch with the Benjamins part, a reference to one of the tribes of Israel. |

It's partially derived from mocking African Americans, that they can't speak English properly. You should find it more offensive that the family of a dangerous violent criminal and domestic abuser is trying to profit of his pathetic death at the hands of a child. |

We're on page 666!! So lets get evil 😈
Allow me to introduce you to the anime movie from Studio Madhouse called Hells.
Without going into too much detail, the story is about a girl who dies and goes to Hell. Much hilarity ensues.
The visuals are stunningly unique and it has the added advantage of its official dub being done Team Four Star, the geniuses behind Dragon Ball Z Abridged. However, the plot of kind of a mess and movie seems to get lost enough itself. Still a fun ride, nonetheless.
This one gets a 6.66/10.

IMAliyu2: One piece has some progressive themes that on there own I'd argue are the good kind of woke.
But I don't trust Netflix to not mess that up. There's a good kind of woke. This may be an unpopular opinion but Jujutsu Kaisen is definitely woke for an anime. The Zen'in clan story is steeped in feminist themes. The Culling games arc has a character criticizing the Japanese justice system. However, I'd say that both were handled right. That's because Gege Akutami uses these themes to enhance his story, rather than using the story as a vehicle to push his politics. |

IjeBos: I guess you're missing my point. If you remove all the crime hotspots from all the states, it would seem Red States would still have a higher murder rate, maybe even higher given some of these blue states have a higher population in these hotspots (cities). So, how would that align with your theory? If you remove those urban crime hotspots, America's crime rate falls to that of a Scandinavian country. |

IjeBos: I'm not sure I understand your point. Is it gang violence? Those other areas have gangs too, no? Is it Black people joining gangs? Those other places have black people too, no? Given that all states have both gangs and black people (some with even bigger urban centers), what would make Red state's murder rates higher? The crime hotspots in many blue and purple states also fit the bill. Look at Maryland, Michigan, and Ohio. |

Enugurangers: Republicans continually talk about crime and promote their candidates as crime fighters. Yet the murder rate in red states has outpaced blue states by 23% over the past 20 years. The highest murder rates are in four red states- Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Missouri. There are a few counties in those states that heavily skew the numbers. Now, if you were to take a look at the demographics of these areas it only feeds back into point many of us here talk about regarding gang violence. |
