Early Congratulations as Buhari leads in the Nigerian Polls

Congratulatory phone calls are already being channelled towards Nigeria’s incumbent President, Mr Muhammadu Buhari who is re-contesting the Presidential elections in Nigeria. Major support groups and notable members of the international community have already begun to reach out to the President to wish him well.

Recall that Mr Buhari had expressed a high degree of certainty of being re-elected on a number of occasions including earlier today after he participated in the voting exercise in Daura, Katsina.

A psychiatrist Dr Prince Awuzie commented that he was confident the President would retain his seat and expected Mr Buhari to return to Abuja earlier than expected to begin planning for his next four years in office. He stated that there would be greater expectations from Nigerians and the international community and the President would be aiming at outperforming his predecessors as he builds upon his legacy of being a powerful anti-corruption advocate.

A Nigerian born Harvard professor who was also in Nigeria for the elections stated that Mr Buhari was expected to pull a number of positive surprises ranging from policy reform to reorganisation of personnel. He felt that the President’s travels around Nigeria would bring fresh inspiration and already seems to have him fired up with fresh passion to serve each and every Nigerian.

By KATO P. LADAN, Kaduna

Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas, Special Adviser on Youth & Support Groups to the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999-2007 His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, GCON has announced that 10 million Nigerian youths will benefit from an equal opportunity job creation within the first 180 days in office. He expressed this in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Kaduna. He reiterated that he has a team already working out and fine tuning the projects that will stimulate the economy in conjunction with the private sector and international investors who have declared interests in partnering with our administration on account of his standing in business relationships worldwide. “Nigerian youths are encouraged and implored to take a stand and protect their future which has a better realization under a well known and established job creator employing over 50,000 Nigerians nationwide as against one whose 100 cows have remained stagnant, emaciated and unproductive. “The future belongs with only those who can adapt to the vagaries and demands of economic development away from stringent hold and intervention from a monopolistic government. “Free market economies are vibrant and innovative, create more jobs and insist on interplays of international investments. He said that Atiku Abubakar is the only choice to lift Nigeria out of the precipice and point-and-kill situation under Buhari-led administration.

Why Atiku is desperate to sell NNPC

FACT CHECK:

Nigeria’s Oil & Gas exports are worth over 10 Trillion naira every year
One single oil well may be worth Trillions of Naira.

HOW PROFITABLE IS NNPC?

An analysis of the foreign trade statistics obtained from the National Bureau of Statistics NBS for the second quarter of 2017  revealed that out of the total export earnings of N3.1 trillion for the second quarter of the year, oil and gas accounted for N2.43 trillion, while the non-oil sector accounted for the balance of N670bn. An extrapolation would reveal that Oil and Gas export would average Ten Trillion naira per annum (10,000,000,000,000/annum). This is what the international community and Atiku friends are after. Asides from that we have the entire infrastructure of the NNPC. Atiku can become the richest man in Africa with this deal.
Unfortunately 70% of allocation to states comes from NNPC. If eventually NNPC is sold to Atiku’s friends as promised, definitely your salary has being sold off, your job also has being sold off.  Remember Niger Deltan’s have huge quotas in NNPC subsidiaries. All these jobs will be reduced to make it more profitable.

 2 Important Questions:

1) Why sell NNPC?
2) If NNPC is a good investment and your friends can make it more profitable why not make it profitable for Nigeria if you love Nigeria?

 2 IMPLICATIONS OF SELLING NNPC:

A) All the oil wells, pipelines and structures will belong to the Waziri of Adamawa (Atiku) and  his own friends not Nigeria.
B) All the oil wells, the oil blocks etc will belong to Atiku and friends
C) This is the REAL SLAVERY for Niger Delta!

What did we expect from a so-called businessman Atiku?  We expected him to help NNPC become better NOT to  sell it to himself.

He rather says he must sell NNPC even if they (Nigerians) kill him!

 Other Sectors killed by Atiku/Obasanjo

UNIVERSITIES- What happened to EDUCATION in Nigeria?  Atiku and Obasanjo allowed ASUU strikes to destroy the public Universities for the poor and spent Billions to establish Private Universities for the Rich. It is time to pay Atiku back for grounding schools and businesses to they can create their own profitable schools.

$16 Billion dollars on POWER- What did Atiku/Obasanjo do to Power sector? They made a case for $16 Billion dollars which they stole. No wonder they cannot trust themselves until they decided to come together to sell NNPC which is their Biggest deal till date!

Creating Intels and awarding it control over various ports in Nigeria was a brilliant business move by Atiku but how many other Nigerians are benefiting from Intels?

Let us be very wise or lose everything we have worked for.

I am a Proud Niger Deltan  and I say no to selling NNPC!!

A spokesman for the Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organisation, Buba Galadima, says he is still a member of the All Progressives Congress.

Galadima, who was a guest on Channels TV’s ‘The Verdict’, said he remained a member of the All Progressives Congress and was still leading a faction of the party known as the Reformed APC.

He made the clarification when the anchor, Seun Okinbaloye, introduced Galadima as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party.

“I am still in the APC,” he corrected the programme anchor.

The former National Secretary of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, added, “I am a spokesman for the PDP presidential candidate.”

Galadima, who is a former associate of President Muhammadu Buhari, added that he was sure that Atiku would defeat the President in Saturday’s elections.

He said the Peoples Democratic Party had ruled almost all northern states in the past and it would be naive to rule out the party.

Galadima said the huge turnout of supporters for Atiku in Kano and other areas of the North showed that Buhari was not as popular as he was in 2015.

He alleged that the APC in Kano had to hire persons from Niger Republic to boost the number of their supporters at its rally.

“Atiku Abubakar is the next President of Nigeria, Insha Allah.

“Nigerians are for us, irrespective of religion and tribe.

“If the elections are fair, Atiku will emerge the winner on February 23,” he said.

Gossipninja:
Reno Omokri, former aide to Goodluck Jonathan, have raised an alarm over the alleged arrest of Uyiekpen Giwa-Osagie, who is a Lawyer of the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

According to.Reno Omokri, the arrest was made today with the aid of 25 heavily armed policemen.

Read his post below;

The @officialEFCC today arrested @atiku’s lawyer, Uyiekpen Giwa-Osagie with 25 heavily armed policemen. Is this why they postponed the election and implemented their #CoupAgainstNigeria? Their plan is to go after those around Atiku to see if they can cripple him before Saturday.

The @officialEFCC should tell Nigerians why they have arrested @Atiku’s lawyer? What is his crime? Who is next? Is it Atiku’s wives or his children? Is Atiku now public enemy? Is that why @MBuhari instigated the election postponement #CoupAgainstNigeria? Why is PMB so desperate?

Updates later this afternoon ..

An extremely tight lid might have been kept on these negotiations between powerful forces in Aso Rock and an elite group of young Nigerians who have won the confidence of President Buhari. These negotiations may include far reaching restructuring of the Buhari inner think-tank and Executive Government in a bid to the Presidency a new lease of life in its 2nd term.

PoliticsINTERVIEW: How Buhari Administration Will Deliver On Promises Before 2019 by coolwater11(op): 4:19pm On Jan 23, 2019
In this interview with Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo conducted by Zain Asher, CNN’s International Correspondent at the Nigerian Bar Association General Conference which held recently in Lagos, Mr. Osinbajo speaks on how the current administration plans to deliver on its numerous promises to Nigerians in the socio-economic and political terrain.

Transcript of the interview below:

Excerpts:

Can you list the achievements of this administration?

Vice President: I think the single greatest achievement of the administration so far is really setting the foundations for the economic recovery of the country. I think those foundations are important because first, we were dealing with a mono-economy, mono-export, ‘mono everything’ practically. But more importantly, we were also dealing with a system of public finance that was essentially opaque and if you like, a fair amount of corruption. Not even so much corruption in some cases, that it was difficult in some cases to even discover how it was the economy survived the extent of that corruption. So, I think maybe the point is that we are rebuilding that economy and we have laid what I believe is a very solid foundation especially the public finance system beginning of course with ensuring that we block all of the loopholes.

We have continuous audits now, we have an efficiency unit that ensures there is efficiency in government expenditure, we have the TSA – the Treasury Single Account that ensures that we are able to monitor government spending and revenue closely, and we have modified the tax system so that it is more efficient.

We also have the Executive Orders, we are looking at transparency in government business, we are looking at annual budgets of small agencies, and another is Voluntary Assets Declaration and another one on local content, encouraging local content. I think really where we are is a situation where we have cleared the mess, the debris and we are laying a solid foundation for modernizing the economy.

Are the average Nigerians feeling the results?
