seunmsg: You are just a pained bigot. There is at least a minister from every state as required by the constitution. The full list is not yet out and what we are discussing here is the technocrats in the snippet of a list in circulation. El-Rufai, Ali Pate, Betta Edu, Ben Ayade etc are not Yorubas. Why make it about ethnicity when every state will have a minister?
I did like for like even a dumb fellow knows there will be minister per state.
Judging by other appointments...
EFCC CBN Army Police...
Imagine they are all Igbos?
Hahaha...
Kasala for don bust since....even Buharia didn't put all Fulanis...he shared them with the whole north.
As you can see you are the local greedy ethnic bigot
PoliteActivist: He can actually rule for more than 8 years - as he did in Lagos. He is still rulling in Lagos till date! As for those judgments becoming part of our law, you forget you're in Nigeria. The very next day same court may rule the opposite in a similar case!
You are 100000% correct...
Anyone who understands this country with its waywardness will have to concur with your statement.
Omenlon: I read through your post, one key thing you emphasize about the root cause of Igbo agitation is marginalisation of the region. Please which region is not marginalised in this country? all the six states in the south south produced 80% oil the country is living on today. Tell me anything the country has done for the people of the south south. Show me any supper highway road in that region, in stead it is devastation of their eco system without any commensurate rewards, yet they are not taking to arms. The entitlement mentality of the Igbos is simply what is giving them the impression that they are being marginalised. Every region in this country is marginalised in one way or the other.
This country was founded on a tripod.
The north and SW has more FG investment than other regions.
They have also seen more power than other regions.
The security points from Lagos to Owerri is by far more than you can get fro a longer distance from Lagos to Maiduguri.
Most people, from outside of the region have attested to the marginalisation of the region.
Shehu Sani: Igbo systematically marginalised since civil war..
Igbo agitating for Biafra because of marginalisation
Punch Newspapers https://punchng.com › igbo-agitating-for-biafra-becau... 2 Nov 2020 — “The only investments you see in eastern Nigeria are prisons, police stations and army commands. We, the Igbo, are being marginalised. We, as ...
floret23: If they have exhausted the option of meeting the governors with no result, they should hold their political representatives most especially the state and federal lawmakers responsible. If they are chased out of Igbo land, they will know how to convince federal government. The same strength used to frustrate poor people should be exerted on politicians. I don't just want poor people to suffer. Many of them survive on daily income. To them, sitting at home is an invitation to hunger and penury.
That has not worked too...
Kanu and the senators...
May be they should focus on these guys...as you rightly said...
But if they operate from abuja, it will be of no effect.
floret23: I am Yoruba and I support Biafra. I fully agree with Nnamdi Kanu and Simon Ekpa but I don't support forceful sit at home. That's the only problem I have with you guys. If you want the attention of federal government go to government house or house of assembly.
I know sit at home might not be the best option, but what if they have exhausted the option of meeting the governors with no result...
This should be resolved amicably as the masses are suffering.
FG should not extradite him unless Igbo leaders write and swear to an undertaking not to beg for his release when jailed here. The Igbo political elite are culpable! We saw it all during the last election and how they pampered same terrorist group after carrying out a terrorist attack on Lagos in 2020.
They are crying out now because they realise that the rest of Nigeria is moving on and no send them. They are not crying out of altruism and patriotism. If they are, they should start with condemning the destruction the terrorist group carried out in Lagos state in 2020.
\
Nobody is moving on except the SW that have no single thing to export to the region or any other region..
The north are affected as their produce cannot go to the east or transported to the SS...
wahahlawahala: so what's the root and cause of the issue?
Thank you.
This is how normal human should reflect on issues to resolve them without fighting and killings.
Now before this things escalate, many groups in the region have stated that the region is marginalised since after the civil war...even when the war ended with ...no victor and no vanquished to appease everyone.
But this has not been the case as the region has continuously been marginalised.
The region though a dot nation, according to some people has the worse federal roads in Nigeria and as well the highest number of security personnel collecting bribe.
This now came to a head when Fulani herdsmen were killing in hundreds with no single arrest made.
The groups now became embolden to ask for autonomy...they started raising flags and were killed by agents of government..
So that is the short history of the root causes.
The leaders in region have tried to solve the issue by accepting these challenges and that they will discuss with the FG in tackling those issues raised, but as have been seen not a single thing was done.
Shehu Yardaua was one of the best leaders Nigeria have had. He would have met with he team before operation python dance and try and assure them, and at least solve one or two of their issues...but unarmed civilians were shot by the last government and the issues have escalated to the worse.
Below is the meeting between Kanu and the governors of the region..
Think9ja: First time this Asari guy is making sense
The igbos are living in denial, and the denial is that they will never produce the president of Nigeria through an election or Court.
Their leaders know this, reason why the leaders supported Atiku in the last election because his antecedents has always pointed towards an Igbo presidency.
Unfortunately for them, Peter Obi was sponsored by some people to split Atiku's votes, which he succeeded in doing.
Now they have to wait another sixteen years when they could have gotten a VP slot to start with. As if that wasn't enough, Atiku is the only big northern politician sympathetic to the plight.
Now Atiku has moved on, they are still wailing on every twitter/Facebook/nairaland post.
Una never know wetin Obi don do una
You and Asari are jokes...
..having president is just a bragging right...
GEJ and OBJ could not even build roads to their villages.
Katsina have never seen banditry all their lives till Buhari became president..
Godwin4444: n besides war will b happening in d east n u will launch counter in d west n d west won’t finish igbos among them or u launch counter in kaduna n u still expect igbos to live free there
Many of these people don’t know d implications of many things they post
There is no need for all this war stuff.
Let any people who wants to leave go in peace.
There is what is called referendum.
Self determination is not a crime...it is the manner of asking for it that might be a crime.
helinues: @ where, when 30 to 40% available lands have been acquired by few billionaires in the region with no Intention of using or leasing, just to add to family glory
You hide in Oshogbo and knows everything happening in SE..
There are large lands for sell for as little as 700K..
Assuming you wake up to the new that Peter Obi has been declared the winner of the last election and Tinubu should hand over immediately without any option to appeal, what would be your first reaction?
Me: Am thinking that the type of jubilation we will hear in and outside of Nigeria eee, it will be like Nigeria just won the world cup hahaha.
Any ways, somebody should please wake me up from my dream.
I don't see any judge in Nigeria today having the liver to make such judgement.
Until then, PBAT it is for now.
I totally agree with you...
But this is the issue I have with most African people..
So you all know that this is Nigeria were the absurd happen every single day..
Why not remove the court process after every election, as you all knew that whoever INEC select becomes the president and no power on earth can change that?
Why do you humans want to waste everybody's time and money?
