The announcement was also made on Laycon's official Instagram and Twitter page days after bagging multimillion naira deals with other global brands like Oppo, Jumia, Orijin, and Gotv.

His fans have since stormed their social media pages to show their excitements while also anticipating more breakthroughs for the fast rising lyricist.

True. The E.P is a downgrade of the previous one, to be honest. His previous EP was a perfect match for the lockdown season. I feel the lockdown season contributed to the success rate but I fear this new EP may not get the same success rate (if Nigeria returns to the full party mode this December). Too many HITs waiting to be played.

The new EP is also a testament that he's not as versatile as I thought. I hope he truly gains true loyalists like Marlians, 30BG, Wizkid FC, not just Laycon haters or Rema haters.

The industry is extremely competitive sha. Just one week o, Yemi Alade, Timaya, Lil Kesh, and others have also dropped albums. In another week or two, Tekno will drop. Olamide', Wizkid's, Davido's albums are still fresh o. Many of them are working on their music videos already. It takes an artiste with true loyalists to stay at the top

We also have to realize that there are different level of deals, e.g. paid sponsorship, partnership, face of a brand (model), and, ambassadorial deals. Anyone with a fairly large fans can get a paid sponsorship deal (most housemates survive on this type of deal). Anyone with a fine physique can become a model (even if you're not a public figure) but you see partnership and ambassadorial deals, brands don't necessarily care about Twitter trends.

You guys must think that brands are as f00lish as your faves.

There's a particular one with nearly 500k members, another with 350k, 200k+, and some are less than 100k group members/followers. You would hardly even see any Laycon page with less than 1k members.
