19th July 2021 we received NOA2 case was approved and sent to nvc (that's 9month and 2 weeks from NOA1-NOA2. though it could have been earlier cos we received RFE)

31st August 2021 (NVC case number created)

Embassy processing is Dakar Senegal for interview.

We just received message from nvc stating they received our application and a case number has been created and it it take weeks for them to send the application to the embassy. Can I go ahead and fill in the form ds 160 now?

Don't send a scanned copy then. Ship the original pages to your contact, (They can send the form to you via electronic means). It is an expensive affair!

I would like to know please after you've done your police character report do you submit the form that has your fingerprint in it together with the police character certificate at the US embassy during the interview or you only need to present the police character certificate? Im asking because I don't live in Nigeria and will use a 3rd party to do the PCC so I'll have to send a scanned copy of my fingerprints to Alagbon, now if I must submit the form i thumbprint my fingerprint on together with the original pcc certificate will the embassy accept the scanned copy of the form that has my fingerprint ?

I have over 3,000+ pages of chats with my fiancé from 2019 -till date, do I have to print everything for the interview or just few pages is enough?

Screenshot 2 pages for each month, e.g January first week and last week. Make sure the date are visible in the screenshot.

If you have photogrid app on your phone use grid to combine your screenshots in one photo for example you can combine Jan, Feb, March screenshot chats in one photo that's 6 screenshot for 3 months of chat in 1 photo, if you do this you successfully combine 1 year of constant conversation in just 4 photos with each photo containing 3 months correspondence with your fiance.

This is how i did mine and our application was approved.

@Coquinoqui, sorry for my late response. But I don't think the issue is any issue at all. Just have ready any form of evidence you can get....it does not have to be a certificate. It is even likely that you will not be asked for any proof of education however it is recommended to have all the documents as we don't always know what the CO will ask

Good evening bro. I would like to seek your advice on something delicate. I finished my secondary school 2005 but didn't sit for Waec or neco but later in 2010 i wrote neco exam in another school from a different state and about to collect the original certificate . The issue is in the form ds 160 I must fill in the details if I have attained any secondary education from start date to end date but I did not have any cert to prove that I completed my sec Education 2005 in case embassy they requested for it. So I don't know how to go about in filling this area, and besides do embassy request for school certificates?

@Coquinoqui, another option would be to do it through someone you trust in Nigeria, maybe a family member or close friend. All they need to do is go to Alagbon and meet an officer there who would serve as a liaison. You don't need to be present to get it done however your fingerprint will be needed. The officer should know how to work through that. He might need you to print the form over there in Senegal and affix your fingerprints on them and then mail them over to your contact person in Lagos.

I don't know the validity of Police Certificate for the US Embassy in Senegal but for the Embassy in Lagos, it's 1 year (I hear its been extended to 2 years, not sure though).

Our case has left uscis to nvc in less than 5 days after approval, the approval notice expires 15/11/2021 does this mean I must travel before the expiry date?

And to answer your question, yes the embassy will request to see your originals. However they won't need original copies of your fiancée's documents since she is not the one going for the interview. They will only need photocopies of her certificates from you.

I just found out she did not send original copies of her document to uscis rather she sent photocopies. So I misunderstood the word 'original document' what they meant is photocopies of her original document I must bring to the interview . So no she didn't send original documents.

I read Divorce certificate, affidavit of support even nutralization certificate of Petitional should be original copies but I only have scanned copies of these documents, how I am supposed to get the original documents for the interview if those documents are already with the embassy from nvc?

Finally God has done it for me o. Our case was approved after 9 months 17 days.
2nd November 2020, NOA1
June 16th 2021 USCIS sent us RFE
July 8th 2021 USCIS received RFE
case was approved 19th July 2021, NOA2.

USCIS is moving faster than usual. Our rfe was delivered yesterday morning and in less than 24hours case Status has changed to "Response to USCIS request for evidence was received"
