Travel / Re: After Few Months In The Abroad, Everyone's Eye Become Open To Reality by Coquinoqui: 2:16am On Mar 06, 2023
The first two to three months of Nigerians getting abroad is always like;

"ohh my God, see 24hrs light, Nigeria failed us" most even forget they pay $300 for utility bills every month. LoL

"See road. Ohh my God, there's no road and fine cars in Nigeria, we all trek on mud"

"Mehn, see fine fine oyinbo, I'll Marry like 2 oyinbo for here and get papers within two years" only to later realized this is only but illusion as most Nigerian guys are ugly and might not be good enough to even get dates.

"Damn. See how much my salary is wen I convert it to naira. Now, I'm earning more than a bank manager in Nigeria" Only to later realized that 60% of this money will go to taxes and bills. Nigerians at home will also bill them

"Take pictures every day to pepper ignorant Nigerians at home" only to get tired after two months when reality knock

That was me when I paid $350 for light in February šŸ¤£

Add yours

U forgot to mention u also get tax return...
To be honest with you, if you well documented you shouldn't have much trouble making it. I'm in the US i don't know where you are but there's a big difference when u have papers and when you don't.

In the US when someone is broke , can the person still feed his/herself . ? Why I'm asking is you know in naija when someone is broke to feed is a huge task. Is it like that in the US too?

If you don't have food you can go to the pantry. The government supply food to churches who in turn share the food to the in the community every week. Food is the least thing people worry about here.

Live life oh. There's more to life than working crazy. The amount you make is too small to be having such savings. You make 1k and save about 250 weekly. What's even the essence of struggling to save? Go to concerts, go on a cruise, engage in fun activities. Advise the Ghanaian babe not to work like craze. depending on what she does there can be health implications later in life. When I was crazy about money I easily made 4k weekly but now I'm on a different mission in life.

You read but lack understanding and definitely different responsibilities. Never compare your life with others.

Good afternoon folks! The purpose of writing this trend is not to discourage Nigerians from traveling but to reveal some interesting facts that might shock Nigerians in regards to staying back in Nigeria. The Nigerian dream is not dead like most of us would think or argue. Opportunities abound here like in every society. Financial success is what most folks dream of both in Nigeria and western societies.

I am using Canada and America as a case study because that is where most Nigerians love to migrate to. It will surprise most folks reading this trend that 85% of Nigerian immigrants living in those countries are unable to save $30 daily. What is more surprising is that $30 in the US. when converted to the naira is between ā‚¦ 12,900 (official bank rate) or ā‚¦20,850 (Black market rate) then for Canada ā‚¦9,540 (Bank rate) or ā‚¦14,2200 (Black market rate)

I have noticed majority of Nairalanders are either job seekers or those with jobs earning between ā‚¦50,000 to ā‚¦200,000 monthly. To them the amount I quoted is very high and enough reason to Japa (the current trend) but for those who have hand work or into businesses, it will come as a shock to many of them.. A bolt driver, if we have any one here can help us confirm, is capable to making ā‚¦15,000 daily after all expenses when you drive with your own car. Most 10 passenger yellow buses drivers make over ā‚¦20,000 daily. The average daily profit for an average booming business in Nigeria currently is over ā‚¦35,000 daily. Please note the word average. I know we can all agree that people who sell plumbing materials, cement, electrical gadgets, furniture, rods, chemist stores, truck drivers, woods, pipes, flour, bag of rice etc can easily make over ā‚¦20,000 in profit daily.

I will say again that the purpose of this post is not to discourage anyone or look down on people living abroad, but to open our eyes to the fact that Nigeria is not bad as we might think. The problem is that most Nigerians don't believe in this country. No matter how much they make they always feel there is somewhere else better till they get there and find out the real truth.

Nigerians in diaspora can join the conversation and let us know if it is possible to make the amount stated ($30daily). Then Nigerians down here who are engaged in the kind of work I listed can also come and tell us their experience. God bless Nigeria and her citizens!

I live in US and save $253 every week for the last 4 months and after contributing my own share of the bills. If I do overtime I make about $1k every week after tax. Im married imagine how much I would save if am single. My friend at work she's Ghanaian and her hubby takes care of the bills. This babe dey work like craze and have saved about $15k in 4months.

lock into the forex system of USA by stop doing Mortar and Brick job nor business over there and you never care whether naira hit 10,000 to 1 dollar again.

If you can, sponsor any of your people wjlhom you Trust so we'll to a country like Kenya, Ghana etc. or you do it yourself. On getting there get A SIM CARD ACTIVATED in your name, open M-Pesa wallet. Fund your Mpesa account and head on to Binance P2P to buy USDT cheaply using Kenya Shillings. Once you have USDT, sell it via P2P again 2 Naira at BLACK MARKET RATE. Since Crypto is not Frown at Kenya, Binin, Ghana Uganda, Ivory Coast etc, you can fund your Binance account directly with a BANK ATM card meant or activated for online transactions in foreign Currencies.

You can even do this directly between Remitano and Binance to fro, to FRO which in my language I call gbelo gbebo.

See stop doing Mortar and brick job and business. Tap into your own legal channel of the National Cake from OIL Revenue using Forex even while you are in the state. There are several ways to do it. One of which I revealed above.

If you have someone that sends dollars to you once in a while, call them and thank them.

Most buildings under construction in Nigeria are done by people abroad.

Most people abroad I know are happy with the current state of naira.

The effect of this is killing and frustrating home based Nigerians.

10k canā€™t comfortably feed a family of 3 for 3 days

Im base in the US. Itā€™s a bitter sweet experience .sweet in the sense that I earn in $$$ and dollar might hit 1k by December. The sad part is no matter hw much I send back home is still not gonna be enough cos cost of living is going up as dollar is rising

Please, must he delete what he saved my name with before the messages and call logs Screenshot, to make my number appear or it doesn't matter

No you don't have to but i did remove my fiance name and made sure her phone number show in some of my screenshot. I Arrange our calls and chat screenshots this way: I take a screenshot of our correspondence for the first week of the month and the last, i.e chats from January 3rd and January 28th, Feb 5th and Feb 27, same thing with calls logs and made sure when you screenshot with whatsapp the date fades away so must make sure u use fast screenshot app to capture the date . After that I used photogrid app to arrange all the screenshots, I was able to get 3months of chats screenshots in 1 page with photogrid and 1 year chat correspondence in 4 pages. This is how I arrange my application 2 yrs ago. All the best
