A woman identified as Hope Nwala is accused of committing a horrifying act of violence against her husband, Ekelediri Nwankwo in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State.
According to reports, Hope allegedly poured scalding hot groundnut oil on her husband and then viciously struck him on the head with a hammer.
The catalyst for this shocking outburst appears to have been an argument that erupted when Ekelediri insisted that Hope’s younger sister leave their home.
The husband narrate his own side of the story, he said:
“I had asked my wife’s younger sister to leave my house due to her dressing and her habit of occupying our matrimonial bed even when I am present. No young man would tolerate such behavior.
“However, my wife refused to let her sister leave. I also noticed my wife alone with a tall, dark-skinned man in the shop I had rented for her. It wasn’t for business; he was following my wife and sister everywhere.
With all of these issues, I gave her younger sister two thousand naira for transportation to go home, so that I could better understand what was happening in my house. But my wife became angry. While I went to bed to sleep, she poured boiling groundnut oil on me and then began hitting me with a hammer.”
A suspected thief was set ablaze by an angry mob for allegedly stealing in Akwa Ibom State.
It was gathered from sources that the young man, who is not named, was set on fire for allegedly stealing a handset.
A video sighted by Trendygists shows the moment the boy, who is in his 20s, was chased down by the mob, beaten, and set ablaze.
At the time of this report, it was unclear where the young boy stole the phone, but it was learned that the incident happened in front of the University of Uyo’s permanent site, Nwaniba.
Lydia Azatyom, a 3-year-old girl, has been found dead after going missing for the second time in two weeks.
Salemgists reported earlier that Lydia was reported missing in Tudun Wada, Jos North Local Government Area, Plateau State on Thursday, 27 October 2022, but was later found on Sunday, 30 October 2022.
It was gathered that she was later found in a well at Angwan Mission Area of Tudun Wada, Jos, the state capital.
However, on Wednesday 10th November, 2022 at about 4pm, Lydia was with her mom in the house when the mom went to buy food at a neighbors house.
On returning, Lydia was nowhere to be found. All efforts to find her around the house or with neighbors proved abortive.
A new report today, November 12, indicates that family and friends of Lydia were unfortunate as she was found dead this time.
A young Abuja farmer identified as Hussaini Aliyu Takuma has been found dead after going missing.
It was gathered that the young man went missing from his farm last Thursday, June 9, but after a thorough search, he was found murdered and thrown into a well.
Salemgists learned that he was found in a well opposite his farm in Jeda village in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
A source who is familiar with the incident stated that the deceased’s workers stole 36 sheep and six goats from his farm after killing him.
The source said some young men working on his farm for an unknown reason took his life and threw his body in a well. His whereabouts were unknown until police operatives discovered his body in the well.
Disagreement broke out between Igbos and Hausas at Dei-Dei axis of Abuja which led to an unrest in the area.
It was gathered an Hausa motorcycle rider was transporting a passenger but along the way, they had an accident.
A source said the Okada man crashed under a trailer and the passenger, a woman, he was carrying died instantly.
The source further said the accident Led to a great provocation among the Igbos living in the area. They started destroying motorcycles belonging to the Hausas.

A young man identified as Tyozer Saater has been electrocuted to death in Benue State.
Salemgists gathered that the young man died after he was attempting to reconnect electricity in his room.
The incident occurred on Saturday, April 30 at Km1 Korinya road, Ihugh in Vandeikya Local Government Area of the state, at about 5.10 pm.
A source who is a resident of the area stated that the young man came back from his business place and learnt that the electricity leading to his room had a faulxt. The source said Saater decided to reconnect the light and he died in the process.
It was also learnt that the deceased got married at the beginning of this year and his wife is pregnant.
The body of the young man was removed by residents of the area and deposited at the mortuary.
Unknown gunmen set the house of the Honourable member representing Ekeremor/ Sagbama federal constituency in the green Chambers, Hon. Fred Agbedi ablaze in Bayelsa.
Salemgists learnt that the unknown gunmen went ahead to also burnt down the house of his elder brother, chief Alex Agbedi.
A source who witnessed the incident said:
“I came out about 3:am only to be surrounded by ten armed gunmen with their faces marked. I was assured nothing was going to happen to me if only l cooperate with them. They asked me to sit on the ground and set the houses of Hon. Fred and that of his brother, Chief Toweizi as his popularly known on fire”.
At the time of this report, the identities of the gunmen is still unknown but a resident of the area said the gunmen has been terrorizing Aghoro town and the perpetrators are within the town.
Unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits reportedly attacked a community yesterday, April 24 in Kaduna state.
It was gathered that two persons were killed in the attack that took place in Kahir Community, Aribi Ward, Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
A source in the community told salemgists that the gunmen came in their numbers and attacked the community in the late hours of yesterday.
He further identified one of the victims who was killed as deacon Iliya F. Auta. He said Auta was the All Progressive Congress, APC’s chairman in Aribi ward.
The source further stated that Auta recently had his wedding in March this year and was killed just one month after.
Men of the Nigerian Joint Task Force, JTF have engage unknown gunmen in a gun battle in Orlu in Imo state.
It was gathered that the attack took place at Banana junction to Timber shade. Sources confirmed that some Innocent People and many officers were killed.
As at the time of this report, salemgists could not ascertain the number of casualties, but sources revealed that both policemen and gunmen were killed.
A seminarian identified as Sule Ambrose slumped and died while participating in a drama on campus Imo state.
It was gathered that the tragedy struck at Claratian University of Nigeria, Nekede, in Owerri, Imo State, on Friday, April 15.
Students at the scene said the deceased who hails from Benue State was performing the role of the biblical Peter in the Passion of Christ when the incident occurred.
Details of the incident is still sketchy but salemgists learnt that the man was hale and hearty before the incident occured.
One of the students said:
“He was playing the role of the biblical Peter in the dream and that process when Peter cut the ear of one of the soldiers and Jesus fixed the ear and ask Peter to let them do their wish. You know how passionate the play is.”
“So when the soldiers chase the disciples to drive them away from Jesus, the young man fell on the floor and started bleeding.”
“We took him to our school hospital, and the doctors did their best, but he was not responding to treatment. We took him to the Federal Medical Center in Owerri, where he was pronounced dead.”
