Asisat's retirement news is FAKE NEWS.

I didn't even know the story was in circulation till I saw Colin Udoh's video yesterday debunking it late yesterday.

I didn't see the news to post it here since the story of her alleged retirement hadn't made it here. So surprised to see it this morning.

Modified:

Here's the link to Colin's twitter post. He spoke to Oshoala directly. It also didn't make sense to him that a professional like Oshoala will release such disturbing news that has the potential to unsettle the dressing room a day to a crucial semifinal game. Thankfully it was false.

I've also personally seen a snippet video of Oshoala reacting to this too.
Unfortunately, even SuperSport believed the fake news. They discussed her decision to retire extensively in the studio.

Iits like u skipped a question if mine earlier about which certs and transcripts I need to submit for DAB, Is it both HND and ND or just HND alone?
I think only your HND is sufficient, but you can check DAB for further confirmation.

The only thing South Africa has over Nigeria is their National Anthem. grin

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lDZP-ZbtJ8

Their Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika anthem is easily top 5 in the world and even me wey no be S.African dey feel am wella.

Arise O' Compatriots wasn't bad too. It was a very good call to war and battle anthem but PBAT go get brain touch change am.

Now nothing to ginger and boost our gals morale tomorrow.
The SA anthem is simply mind-blowing, downloaded the lyrics some months ago. cheesy

As for the bolded, changing our anthem was very needless in my opinion. Even worse, going by our recent games, NONE of our girls could recite a line of the new anthem. It's a shame.

Not true.

She remains the most respected amongst her pairs. Ask an average new entrant to the team and th first name they mention is Oshoala. She also largely been a great bridge between the foreign born contingent and the Nigerian born ones.

The Ohale and Ayinde angel is also laughable. They are players who don't want big roles in the team. You have to understand that the reason Ajibade is captain today is because people like Ohale didn't want the responsibility. That's not to say they are irresponsible, not at all, but I think they prefer leading from their roles.

Oshoala has a big voice in the team, one that her colleague respects, and I also think she deserves to leave the team in style and the best place to do that is at the World cup.
Great point and I completely agree. 👍🏼

She's so bad she isn't even deserving of being a squad member.

Football has left her completely.
Just hoping that she's started working on her professional coaching license.

Someone was hyping up this Zambian coach when she was head coach of the Ghana Women National team and also when she took over as the Zambian Women Coach. All because Ghana FA was uploading 720p, 1080p images 😂😂😂
She freely handed the game over to Nigeria the moment she played 3 at the back while relying on counters.

Oshoala is finished.

This thing hard me to type but i have to. That's the wackiest decision making for a player of her calibre. Otilo.

Madugu should sub Ijamilusi off. These are ladies now. Why are Ajibade and Ijamilusi still on the pitch? They're not men o, Madugu.
It's truly painful, Oshoala is washed. I'd be surprised if this isn't her last tourney for the SF.

Zambia have made themselves way too predictable and it seems Madugu studied them well..

Their defence is wack......their only style is to boot long balls to Banda and Kuandanaji... Our defense have so far done well in keeping the duo quiet..
Excellent game so far....

I expect Zambia to come out more in the second half.. Madugu should introduce Ucheibe and Abiodun to lock up that midfield
He just did that.

Ucheibe, Abiodun, and Osoala have been subbed in.

It's also noteworthy that Madugu isn't playing defensive today, contrary to how he executed the group stages. The selection shows he's going on the offensive. We are either going to see a masterclass or a disasterclass.

Not sure what's sponsoring this boldness but I'm seated.
Lovewins, hope you're watching? I'm just glad that we're taking our little chances.
