Based on my long-term observation, the problems facing the Super Eagles as a team do not lie heavily on the players nor the coaching crew. Unsurprisingly, the challenges are deeply rooted in the SYSTEM.
By system, I mean the administration, organization, intention, commitment, drive, and the desire to improve the team. You can't set beautiful goals and expect remarkable results on a faulty system – apparently, the joy would be short-lived.
Unfortunately, everyone shares blame to different parties after every abysmal team performance but hardly question our FOOTBALL SYSTEM.
Twelve (12) years after Nigeria's last AFCON trophy and seven (7) years since our last FIFA World Cup appearance, the Super Eagles still cannot boast of a permanent home turf, a top-class training and accommodation center, a signature football identity, the latest technologies, or a stable football administration.
Our boys thrive abroad and perform incredibly well week-in week-out due to the coordinated footballing ecosystem they belong. It's not a rocket science, we are doing everything wrong!
For a modern football team to excel, every tiny input count – ranging from the choice of their training pitch to the type of food they eat, their sleeping routine, the method/type of exercise, and even the sports kits they wear, just to mention a few. These bits sum up to produce the eventual result—weather good or otherwise.
If you think I'm distorting facts, go back and watch Ekong's post-match interview in Rwanda, where a journalist asked about his experience in Kigali. The captain was absolutely blown by the system the country has built which creates the environment for their team to thrive.
Have you ever wondered why these small countries no longer fear the great SE? It's because they're persistently improving their system while we're on the same spot, in fact, maybe regressing.
To conclude, the NFF needs to be intentional about our football and completely revamp the system, starting from the bottom up.
As a matter of urgency, the glass house must return to the drawing board, make wide consultations, design a master developmental strategy, build a sustainable system around it, and implement accordingly to reclaim our lost glory.
Our administrators must focus on the value of our teams making tiny improvements consistently which accumulate into incredible results, than just waiting for one defining moment which may never return again.
Finally, a deliberate commitment to the system rebuilding process will ensure and established progress.
I hope we get it right one day. |

malakiMal: Guys im in a serious pickle and scared at the moment.
So when i was 20 i applied for study permit. At the time i was doing nysc and working in tech (entry level) but in my SOP. I inly said that i was doing NYSC. I didnt mention that i worked as i didnt want them to know i was doing nysc and working because i was supposed to be working in my PPA but was running it as i needed tech experience.
In my work permit i also didnt declare this work experience as i had work lined up in canada so i just used that and didnt bother using anything else as i thought it didnt matter.
Now in my pr application i declared the experience i did in nigeria. I added reference letter, offer letter and a picture of me and my colleagues at work. Im now seeing that people are getting misrepresentation ban for what i did and i dont know what to do.
Im in canada and all my experience shows progress and i have the documents for them. I make a good living here now and have a son on the way. How could i make such a silly mistake that can ruin my life. Has anyone else gone through this successfully? Should I submit an LOE or just wait from word from IRCC?
Funny thing is I received my study permit at the work place. I have proof from VFS canada that my passport was sent to the work address im claiming for work experience. this all is just making me super paranoid. What was the outcome of this PR application? |

If they had just gotten a permanent manager after Peseiro, like Herve Renard, we would be top of that group by now. Mtchew.
No coach for Falcons o. If they have s terrible outing in the wafcon they'll begin to run helter skelter, talking to the press asif dem sabi better thing. Incompetent lots. Nothing is guaranteed. There's no assurance that Herve would have secured the top spot for the SE with these crop of players. |

Up until now, I've always stated in my signature that I'm also bea1234.. I opened this account because bea1234 is on ban because of tribal matters .. of which I have no regrets for
Furthermore, I tried avoiding your other quote of "beware of moniker with number" from your alternate handle but your tomfoolery is too much you had to repeat same with this handle
Your cowardice eyes did not see several posts of the items I've been selling on here.. but rushed to complain of defrauding you of money wey your useless was papa no get.. typical thinking of a yoruba muslem pig.
If you don't provide evidence from now till 12 PM that I'm the one.. thunder will strike your useless parents dead for giving birth to a nitwit like you.. Foolish pig
Online Dangote but always sleeping on the travel section.. looking for means to escape the country.
Fail to provide evidence in the next ten hours and tears shall never depart from your household.. wretched church rat Not disappointed with your arrogant response. It's a typical defense strategy for people like you. Meanwhile, all your curses will return to you in multiple folds.
That said, I'd advise you dig deeper into my posts to find something more interesting and incriminating, because that post about Tinubu was a fact.
Instead of you to focus on your life, you're here on Nairaland forming a tribal warlord.
By the way, isn't it funny that someone who's looking to donate their blood for money is calling another fellow a wretched church rat?
Your theatrics are clear enough to the discerning mind, I won't dignify you with any further response. You're best ignored.

GraciousWords: 100%...........just compare 2018 to now, % increase in the 461-600 bucket is in the thousands.
Looks like COVID-era CEC draws also led to student numbers rising, now former students with PGWPs are flooding the pool.
My advice to anyone whose NOC is not in demand would be to bite the bullet & learn French (additional CRS points wise and money wise) - not easy at all but it's the most rationale choice now if you look at the options coldly.
With French you'll still be ahead in 2 years time than someone who went to Canada as a student and completed a 1/2 yr degree and has 1 year Canadian work experience (CRS grid facts) and will spend far far far less money, especially now that the Student POF (excluding tuition & travel fees) is doubling from Jan 2024 and PGWP extensions are ending soon.
Alternative is to pivot careers and get a job in an in-demand NOCs even if only for a year (for PNP and FSW CBDs)
There's always the chance of a miracle but prepare like there's none on the horizon. Stay hopeful, pray that the odds will favour you more often than not, but please do the needful.
All the best guys!
#YouCanDoIt The one who saw the future.
Congratulations to the French ITA recipients.

COOL10: We've been losing the midfield battle. Our passes aren't connecting well. The RMF (Chukwueze) and LMF(Moses) look confused. The entire gameplay is very slow. It's a miracle that we're 2:0 up, honestly. The intensity is truly low and sluggish. Could it be the weather or something else?
Honestly, I'm not comfortable with this formation, the last 15 minutes was abysmal.
I hope we maintain this lead till the final whistle. |
