Job Description

Develop unique designs in line with the brand's vision
Assist with sourcing fabric for collections
Work with the pattern maker to develop design patterns
Oversee making of design samples
Assist with photoshoots and any other events


Qualification and Skills
Trained in Fashion Designing
Ability to sketch designs
Creativity
Good organisational and leadership skills
Knowledge of different kind of fabrics
Ability to source the right fabric for designs
Ability to work independently and also as a team member
Excellent command of the English and a traditional language
Excellent communication skills and extreme patience to work with tailors
A passion for fashion

Deal with customers as well as handle new customer leads

Ensure efficient production and quality control of manufactured clothes
Handle petty cash

Computer Literate
Trained in Fashion Designing
Ability to sketch designs
Creativity
Good organisational and leadership skills
Knowledge of different kind of fabrics

Ability to work independently and also as a team member

Excellent communication skills and extreme patience to work with tailors

Have you been able to make any progress with your clothing line? I wanted to start one last year as well but encountered too many issues with tailors so I stopped for a while. However, I am trying to start again and i'm considering building up my own factory with a few tailors that will be properly trained. What do you think?

I don't want to wait because I feel you should start and gain some ground before leaving work. I have also learnt a lot in my short time and I think there is so much more to learn, so assuming you can just resign at a certain age and start immediately might not be accurate.

I am not a tailor so I planned to hire people to sew for me but all the ones I tried are quite terrible and not willing to improve. It's been quite stressful and I have wasted a lot of money so I'm now considering making items with manufacturers with clothing factories. Do you plan to train tailors to assist you?
